Darcy is a passionate ballerina who's dedicated her life to the only thing that's given her any happiness. She knows she'll never be the prima dancer but she's content in her role as a supportive part of the company. But all work and no play makes for a lonely ballerina and Darcy has fantasies she's been dreaming about but never pursuing for long enough.
When her wild card roommate and best friend plants a seed of intrigue in Darcy, she finds herself stepping outside her comfort zone and auditioning to be a burlesque dancer at the exclusive M Club. She would get to do what she loves and dance for an audience and if someone offers her a night of anonymous pleasure, Darcy plans to finally make her naughtiest fantasies, a reality.
Sebastian takes one look at Darcy and doesn't waste time staking his claim. Between these two, the attraction and sexual chemistry was primed and loaded. They each try to keep their distance but they're drawn to each other on a primal level and they both share more than they planned to in each other's arms.
This story is definitely different than what I'm used to and I was surprised by the kink between these two. Not my cuppa but the author has skills when it comes to writing some titillating scenes.
Sebastian was definitely a brooding alpha type hero and had a possessive/protective streak a mile long when it came to Darcy. I liked his determination and his devotion to her, especially the bits outside the bedroom. I loved the way he pampered and cared for her during her really hectic dance schedule. It was one of the few times the author showed you his softer side. He pursues Darcy for all the right reasons, in all the wrong ways *smh*
Although their kink didn't do anything for me (I prefer more fluff in my romance/erotica) I thought that Darcy was a complex character. I loved her fortitude and her courage. At first I didn't think I could relate to her but Darcy is pretty freaking amazing. She might be inexperienced in some areas but this girl is confident and determined to be herself and on her own terms. What's not to like about that?
The heat level in this one was low for me - again the kink just wasn't for me - but the story was layered and the characters were definitely multi-dimensional.
Memorable Moments:
1) When Sebastian tracks down Darcy. I loved that he was half way in love with her after just one night but I really loved that he was already committed to her and wanted to get to know her both in and out of the bedroom. And in his case, actions definitely spoke volumes when it came to Darcy.
2) Their break-up. I know right? But I loved Darcy. She stood up to Sebastian's insecurities for sure but she also stood up for herself and it was awesome. She said everything every other heroine would have just thought but never voiced. It was angsty but also empowering for her.
Would I recommend? If you've read any of the Harlequin DARE books this one is very similar if a bit more shadowing with the BDSM kink. It also has a grittier romance vibe to it.

This is the seventh book I'm reading by Caitlin Crews, but her first in the Dare imprint. Also, since the Dare imprint of Harlequin Publishers started in my lifetime, haha, I want to keep tabs on it too. This is my third Dare title. Book Two of The Billionaires Club Series.
Darcy James is there at the M Club in Paris after agreeing to take her friend's place, where she has to just dance - burlesque. She and Annabelle are professional ballet dancers. And that her career might end shortly has Darcy worried. She's twenty-seven and decides that the time has come to act on some of her fantasies.
Sebastian Dumont usually avoids the burlesque. He was there at M Club for business. But his edginess made him seek reprieve from the cutthroat world and indulge in the club's fantasies and just be. And that is when he spots her, the one who calls to him like a siren song. And then and there he decides to have her.
Narrated in the first person alternately from Darcy and Sebastian's pov, this story makes you appreciate the life of a ballet dancer. The hardships that they have to face throughout their brief careers. I wasn't aware of the vast pecking order that exists, and it may sound really cold and brutal, even if there is discipline there. Darcy and Annabelle have been friends for over ten years now. They're based in New York City, working with the same ballet company.
Hearing about the alternate life that Annabelle leads, Darcy too has dirty dreams (don't we all). M Club is an exclusive - invitation-only - club. The relation between Ash Evans (from The Debt: A Sexy Billionaire Romance) and him wasn't any better since he had betrayed Ash and the latter didn't leave any opportunity to remind him of it. Sebastian is in his thirties, British to Darcy's American.
Such a hot and sexy read! The author has brilliantly combined ballet and erotica, giving rise to such exotic images while reading the story.
I never imagined I'd love it so much when half of the book was only about a single night. Sigh! While it is always a bit disconcerting to read a Harlequin title in the first person, this was a beautifully written story with a plausible conclusion. Loved reading it!

The Risk was another amazing Caitlin Crews book that I could not get enough of. I enjoyed the first book in this standalone quartet series but new that Seb would have an amazing story to tell and boy did he deliver!
Overall, I loved the chemistry between Darcy and Sebastian and how sexy their connection was. What started out as a strictly erotic attraction and pull morphed into an emotional story where both Darcy and Sebastian needed to reconcile their feelings about love and feeling like they deserved to be loved. I absolutely love stories about Ballet dancers and this story really hit the spot. It was amazing to see how disciplined and controlled Darcy was until she was in Seb's arms.
But, while I loved the story I did find that the story was a little wordy with quite a bit of inner monologue at times, somewhat slowing down the pace of the story. I would also have loved to see Sebastian's final meeting with Ash as that was a huge arc that played majorly affected Sebastian's feelings of self worth. I would have loved seeing that resolution. Overall, this was a great read and I look forward to more from this author in the future. 4.5 stars! ~Ratula

The Risk by Caitlin Crews is a sexy romance between a daring ballerina and a wealthy businessman who can’t forget their night together and wants more, at any cost.
Darcy has spent several years in the ballet corps of a well known New York dance company when her best friend and fellow dancer Annabelle convinces her to take her place for a night at an exclusive Parisian nightclub as a burlesque dancer. It’s an opportunity to let go of the rigid expectations of her current dance position and contains an impossible to resist twist – the chance to fulfill a fantasy of spending a night with a stranger who will take control and let her submit to his sexual whims.
When Sebastian makes eye contact with the lithe, enchanting woman on the stage, he knows he must have her no matter the price she’ll charge for her time with him. When she agrees to accompany him to a suite and lets him fulfill his and her desires, it’s an explosive encounter that isn’t easily forgotten. Though she disappears the next morning, Sebastian is able to track her down and proposes a relationship full of hot sex – but draws the line at romance and love. For Darcy, it’s hard to resist the man who makes her fantasies come true. But will it lead to a real happy ending?
Be prepared to have steam curling off of your kindle with this one! Sebastian and Darcy’s first encounter is one of the hottest things I’ve read by this author. Even though she knows it’s only for one night, Darcy can’t stop herself from telling Sebastian her real first name which is how he’s able to track her down eventually. It’s the second part of their relationship that brings them into deeper emotional bonds. Sebastian opens up about his past, his fraught relationship with his brother Ash (hero of The Debt by Jackie Ashenden) and how he’s been punishing himself for years for his missteps. Darcy is the one who makes him feel he is worth something, a feeling that scares him into pushing her away before he realizes his mistake, one he must fix if he’s going to get her back.
Besides the intense relationship, I really enjoyed the dance theme of this story. The harsh reality of life as a ballet dancer with its strict forms and rules and how Darcy feels about dance is a key part of the plot and it’s her night of burlesque dancing that starts to unravel her dedication to ballet. She also has a complex relationship with her parents that is entwined with her dancing that is explored in the novel. If you’re looking for a compelling, sensual character driven story, I highly recommend The Risk. I can’t wait to read more in The Billionaire’s Club quartet!

I loved all the different levels of risks involved in this delicious love story.
We learned a little about Sebastian in the first book, The Debt, that focuses on his brother, Ash. Here, we see Sebastian's side of their brotherly conflict as we watch him face his life's choices and how those have colored his ability to make the most of his opportunities.
Darcy is a fierce, determined young woman, a ballerina who has mastered the discipline necessary for her career yet still hasn't found her contentment in life. She carefully considers a chance at a different style of dancing, mostly because it allows for some fantasy fulfillment without requiring that she make any huge changes in her life. But she can't stop the changes in her heart, and as she leaves Paris, and Sebastian, she finds she can't leave any of it behind.
I truly enjoyed Darcy's quiet strength, her dedication, and her fearless acceptance of the changes her risk-taking is making in her life. I thought Sebastian's character was very well-developed, enough like the nemesis we knew from Ash to make for a seamless transition between the two books written by different authors, yet he was also his own man, one who knew what he wanted and wasn't afraid to confront his own fears when they stood in the way of his happiness.
The love scenes were exquisitely explicit as these two characters laid their hearts bare while they let their guards down. Even so, the true strength of this book is in the emotional and psychological growth of both Darcy and Sebastian, and how they allow their blossoming romance to completely shake up their entirely-too-complacent lives. This was a beautiful love story with a satisfying HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I love Caitlin Crews' writing - she has a particular style that I always enjoy: intelligent, acerbic, literary and sensual. I was looking forward to meeting Sebastian after 'The Debt' and the story sounded rather interesting. It exceeded my expectations - Darcy, the disciplined and focussed ballerina who steps out of her comfort zone in Paris, and Sebastian who finds 'one night is not enough,' are a great pairing and I loved the way their story played out. The 'Second Act" was rewarding and challenging. I always enjoy the way Caitlin allows her characters to spend so much time together. Unlike many other authors, she doesn't need to focus on additional characters to move the story along. One tiny complaint - I would have liked to see an epilogue with Seb and Ash reconciled and spending time en famille with wives and children.

Ever since Flowers in the Attic I have been sort of fascinated with ballerinas/dancers (I know I know) but here at least that is explored in a very sexy and consensual way.
Hot, and great chemistry between the couple, but I wanted a bit more emotional depth from the hero.

Quick steamy read. This is the second book in the Billionaire’s Club series but can be read as a standalone. Sebastian and Darcy were so hot together. Their chemistry was off the charts. What started as one night and a fantasy was able to blossom into something much more real and loving.

What made me request this book was that I had read "the Debt" and since we were introduced to Sebastian or alluded to Sebastian in that book I wanted to know about him. I liked that this story coincides with that story and so it gives you a better picture of what took place and how and how the conflict between Sebastian and Ash was resolved or worked thru..

The writing style in this book is great, very polished. It's funny how I gel with some writing styles so much more than others, just from the words they pick and how they build their sentences, before we even touch on characterisation and plot. For example, Caitlin Crews' writing style suits me much better than Jackie Ashenden's, even though I feel bad saying that.
One thing that I knew from the start would be a struggle for me was the portrayal of prostitution. I can get behind the fact that it's a fantasy for Darcy. There's no accounting for our fantasies, and they don't necessarily have to translate well into reality. Where the problem was for me was that her actual experience of prostitution and the setup in the club was so completely disconnected from the reality of prostitution, I could not suspend disbelief. Read the stories and experiences of real survivors and this kind of portrayal seems disingenuous and blind to the power dynamics and fundamental inequality. No club exists that would protect the rights of prostituted people the way this club does. Buyers pay precisely to be able to do away with concern for the comfort and dignity of the person they buy. I also very much struggle to respect a hero who is comfortable with buying someone's consent for sex, since that renders actual consent impossible. So that part of the story couldn't sit well for me. Thankfully this dynamic is over by about the halfway point and doesn't really come up again. Thank goodness or no healthy relationship could have been built.
In fact this is another thing about this book : it's much split into two acts, with very different pacing. The first act, which lasts a little more than half the book, is the setup and then the night that Sebastian buys Darcy. The sex is described in much detail, and it's very hot, but also very overdramatic. Let's be real, no one comes that often or that easily. The orgasms were so frequent as to become rather meaningless. I know romance sex is often unrealistic and idealised and usually I can go along with that but this really was overdone, which is a shame because Crews can write hot sex, definitely superior to the average romance sex scene.
The second act is our two lovers finding their way back to each other, and beginning to sort out their issues. It is skims over much longer periods of time, it spans a few months, and focuses on the relationship and their individual problems. This story is definitely on the angsty side! No light and fluffy here. The dialogue isn't very believable, it doesn't sound the way people actually talk, though it's pretty to read.
Our heroine has serious issues with her body and self-esteem. The urges and internal narrative that push her to act out her prostitution fantasy definitely felt unhealthy. It's lucky for her that the outcome was so positive, and she managed to work through them. That's definitely fictional though because such a vulnerable person in reality would probably have been dragged down in such a milieu. But in the book, I liked that she found a core of self-love and self-respect, and applied her strength to building herself up by the end of the story instead of tearing herself down. I feel like that really elevated the story.
I also liked the background of the heroine, I loved picturing her as a ballerina, and her gruelling practices. It's a tough job but always fascinating. Maybe I should look for more books with a ballet setting.
The hero is definitely the cliché cold and tortured man. I'm not a huge fan of those. I get how the "I don't deserve love, I'm a bad person, I've failed everyone" internal conflict can be compelling, and it does work on me. But I think I need to see more empathy and caring from a hero to really warm to him. You can be tortured but still have some kind gestures for the other person, even if they are small (well written, the smallest signs can take on huge meaning). Towards the end he began to do a few things and I did like them, but I think they came quite late! I needed to see just a little more earlier.
Clearly I was in the mood to point out everything that didn't work for me XD But actually, overall the book did work quite well for me. The writing is such a strong point that it really helps make everything else palatable. Really, writing quality for me makes or breaks a book, even if the rest is important too, of course. This was a solid romance with some hot, if exaggerated sex, and a pair whose pain I felt, so I was happy to see them love and help each other.
One thing that I knew from the start would be a struggle for me was the portrayal of prostitution. I can get behind the fact that it's a fantasy for Darcy. There's no accounting for our fantasies, and they don't necessarily have to translate well into reality. Where the problem was for me was that her actual experience of prostitution and the setup in the club was so completely disconnected from the reality of prostitution, I could not suspend disbelief. Read the stories and experiences of real survivors and this kind of portrayal seems disingenuous and blind to the power dynamics and fundamental inequality. No club exists that would protect the rights of prostituted people the way this club does. Buyers pay precisely to be able to do away with concern for the comfort and dignity of the person they buy. I also very much struggle to respect a hero who is comfortable with buying someone's consent for sex, since that renders actual consent impossible. So that part of the story couldn't sit well for me. Thankfully this dynamic is over by about the halfway point and doesn't really come up again. Thank goodness or no healthy relationship could have been built.
In fact this is another thing about this book : it's much split into two acts, with very different pacing. The first act, which lasts a little more than half the book, is the setup and then the night that Sebastian buys Darcy. The sex is described in much detail, and it's very hot, but also very overdramatic. Let's be real, no one comes that often or that easily. The orgasms were so frequent as to become rather meaningless. The Risk by Caitlin Crews is her entry into The Billionaires Club series, the second novel in that multi-author series, and if you're in the mood for a steamy, sexy read, a hot, hunky, alpha hero, and if you love and understand the hard work, pain and effort that ballet dancers are willing to sacrifice in hopes of becoming prima ballerinas, you'll find all of the aforementioned in his novel, which gets 5 stars from this reader.
Darcy, our heroine, has been in the corps de ballet with the Knickerbocker ballet company in New York City for a decade. Having studied ballet for well over a decade myself, the depth of commitment her choice of career requires and her willingness to keep on striving says a great deal about her--but after 10 years of the brutal demands ballet makes on the bodies and souls of its dancers, she's still in the corps de ballet, dancing in the background, and has not yet advanced to the more elevated status of prima ballerina, and she's beginning to realize she may never reach her goal.
Darcy's friend and fellow ballet dancer, Annabelle, is quite kinky and free spirited, and she has been selling her body and working as an escort to supplement her income and to let her kink fly, but she has a conflict and needs Darcy to take her place as a burlesque dancer in an ultra exclusive Paris nightclub for one night. Annabelle, who shares a small apartment with Darcy, is aware of Darcy's favorite fantasy, spending the night with a strong, alpha male who will pay a lot of money for the privilege of controlling her, and demanding her submission to his every sexual whim. If you are into it, prepare for some of the sexiest prose it's been my pleasure to read for quite some time. When Sebastian wants to purchase a second night, Darcy refuses his request, having fulfilled her fantasy, and she returns to New York. These two know virtually nothing about one another, not even their last names, but Sebastian manages to eventually track her down, propose an arrangement based on their incredible sexual chemistry for an indefinite period of time, and, eventually, having been unable to forget their one night together, Darcy agrees to his request--but what will become of their very specific arrangement?
Again, prepare yourself for a lot more steamy sexual encounters, and also be prepared to learn that although Darcy may be sexually submissive, she wants to delve deeper into Sebastian's life, learn his secrets, learn why he can't seem to open up to anyone, including her, learn why he has such low self-esteem, and why he considers himself both unlovable and incapable of loving anyone. Ms. Crews has, in this rather short novel, delved deeply into the minds, souls and hearts of these two very private, very self-contained characters to show the reader who they really are, what drives them, and why they make the decisions they do, and, quite honestly, I found it virtually impossible to put this novel down until almost dawn.
I consider The Risk to be Caitlin Crews' sexiest novel to date, and also the one where she displays an uncanny ability to let the reader climb inside the psyches of these two memorable characters and walk around in their shoes, and I'm happy to recommend it, but, be forewarned, this is definitely not a novel for the 18 and under reader. Personally, I can't wait to see how she's going to top this one.

I did not read the first book in the series and read this as a stand alone. I read an ARC from NetGalley.com and this is my voluntary and unbiased review.
Darcy and Annabelle have been friends, roommates and professional ballet dancers at the Knickerbocker Ballet for years. After ten years of dancing, despite their hard work, dedication and toll on their bodies, they realize that they will never rise above the corps and become a Prima ballerina. And even though they are still in their twenties, inevitable retirement looms. Annabelle is very promiscuous and has obtained an invitation to perform a one night burlesque routine at an exclusive sex club in Paris, which pays extremely well. But when she is offered to understudy a Principal, she talks Darcy into taking her place, with the opportunity to not only get paid well, but live her fantasy- having a stranger take care of her body and her needs.
Billionaire Sebastian has held himself in penance from a mistake he made years ago. An error in judgement, made out of arrogance not intentional, but it cost him his best friend and half brother and he now believes that he does not deserve love, because he has only hurt those he loved. Family dynamics always fascinate me and now seeing both sides of their conflict makes it much easier to understand each man. Sebastian and Darcy’s story is going to steam up your e-reader to the boiling point. If you aren’t comfortable with a bit of kink, some dominance then this story may not be for you – but the Harlequin Dare™ line is known to be spicy and hot.
Darcy is a complex character shown with simplicity. She’s devoted to her art but she wants more, and for once she’s going for what she wants. That one night will change everything and bring her pain and joy that she never expected to experience. Sebastian is wounded, his decisions have been based on his past yet this woman reaches him in a way he never expected. And he’s not sure what to do with these emotions so of course, he makes mistakes – big mistakes. Watching them find their way through the sexiness to the deep love that developed between them was a sexy, enjoyable journey.
I enjoyed THE RISK. Yes, it’s as hot and sexy and dominate as possible – but there are emotions at work as well, and seeing Sebastian break free from his past and Darcy embrace a different future made this one much more than a hot, kink romance. This is book 2 in the Billionaires Club series but it can absolutely be read as a stand alone, although I recommend reading book 1 because it does introduce the main character in this one. In this one we get Sebastian's story, who is the brother of the main character in book 1. This story takes place at the same time as book 1-which definitely makes it interesting. Sebastian see's a dancer at a burlesque club and knows he wants her, and Darcy agrees to one night. But that one night changes everything for them both, whether they realize it or not.
There is such chemistry between these two right from the start that I had a hard time putting it down! Darcy seems to be in control of every aspect of her life, and I would assume that she has to be in order to stay at the top of being a ballerina. Sebastian seems to have no emotions-but in reality he just suppresses them in order to do what he needs to do. And when these two come together, it's explosive! And they both work through their own issues and demons to be able to be with one another, which I loved. My only drawback is that there really isn't a resolution between the two brother's. I was really hoping they could work through their own issues with each other and be true brothers. Maybe another book? Overall though I did enjoy it!

I don’t even know what to say about this book. The author’s style of writing is very different from what I’m used to, and I loved every moment of it. For those who aren’t into power exchange, this book won’t be their cup of tea, but I was sucked into this story like the proverbial ‘dirty shirt’. After meeting Ash in the previous book, I was really excited to see what their family dynamic looked like from Sebastian’s point of view. Into these already turbulent waters, our striving-to-be-Prima ballerina gets dropped. Every aspect of Darcy’s life is rigidly controlled. It has to be in order for her to stay in top dancing form. She has a fantasy to give that control to a man for one night, where he will look after everything. That one night sets into motion a whirlwind of changes for both Darcy and Sebastian that could bring about some much-needed healing and growth. But only if they survive the storm. I adored this book and I can’t wait to see what the next in the series looks like.

The Good
It is so rare for me to like a leading lady in this type of book but I loved Darcy. She was very self aware and real with herself about who she was and what she wanted. In the romance she didn't 'um and ah' about her feelings and what it all meant. She knew what she was worth and what she would tolerate and I loved that about her. No man was worth her settling for something that would ultimately leave her unhappy.

The book was enjoyable but it was dominated with the characters first meeting which was a shame. Whilst it was wild and exciting it was a bit 'porn without plot' and there wasn't enough time for the characters to really connect in any emotional way

Both Darcy and Sebastian work very hard for the successes they attain. Darcy is a professional ballet dancer who has been working hard for ten years trying to reach the pinnacle in her profession. Sebastian likewise pushes himself in business and has his own demons that drive him to do so.
Refreshing to see the female MC grow in confidence in making decisions for herself based on what she perceives as best for her, rather than impressing her family or others close to her. In the beginning, Darcy seems too eager to please others...until she risks the one night contract with Sebastian.
While Darcy’s obstacles are clearly explored, Sebastian’s seem a little too glossed over and the outcomes rushed. Yes he too is taking a risk in facing his demons but are they both willing to take a risk on one another?

Sebastian and Darcy's story was a steamy one for sure. Their connection was only supposed to be a one time thing but they couldn't seem to get enough of each other. Sebastian didn't think he wanted a relationship and Darcy didn't think she'd find anyone who could handle her commitment to dance. Yet, there they were ....falling for one another.
This was a quick and fun read with a couple that was easy to connect with. It was good to see things more from Sebastian's side after reading Ash's story recently. Having that insight gave me a more complete view of their situation. Sebastian really was in a tough spot between his half brother and his mother. He loved them both and by doing so, caused his mother pain which in turn made him feel guilty. I really think that Ms. Crews did a nice job with this book. It may have been short, but the storyline was still strong.

As a former dancer, teacher & dance studio manager this book really hit home. I loved the experience of the Ballet Corps that I got through Darcy. I loved the reminders of the extensive training that you put your body through for the love of Dance. I also enjoyed how Darcy stepping out of her comfort zone & trying something completely different brought her to new experiences & those included Sebastian. His darkness was offset by the light of Darcy & the idea that he changed his life from that interaction with her was not only surprising but welcome. I wasn’t too impressed with Sebastian at the start because I saw him as selfish & demanding but I was happy to see that he had redeeming qualities in him. The only thing I wish I would’ve seen in this story was the reunion of the brothers. Definitely recommend. I received this book from the publisher through Net Galley for an honest review.

This is the first series that I’ve read where each book is penned by a different author. I did start it because I am a fan of Jackie Ashenden. I will continue because I loved Sebastian and Darcy’s story and the author did a great job making THE RISK a seamless addition to the Billionaire’s Club series. I was very curious about Sebastian after the backstory we got in THE DEBT. Darcy indulges herself one fantasy in a night at the M club. Sebastian cannot let her go. I loved how driven both of these characters were and how they did not need to be attached at the hip as often happens in many stories these days. While I was disappointed that again we don’t get to witness Ash and Seb burying the hatchet, I hold out hope that maybe these authors will want to expand on their stories.

Sebastian was hooked from the first glimpse and he hasn't been able to get his little dancer out of his head. Crashing into Darcy's real life seems to be the only option that remains. Yet getting her to accept his limitations could be the greatest accomplishment so far.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It is well written. There is just enough conflict and drama to keep it realistic. The characters are believable and interesting. There was a bit of mystery and darkness in the book. Having fantasies is something most people can relate to. "Because it was one thing to fantasize about something and another to do it. I already knew that all too well. It was my life." Darcy is a driven ballerina that knows what show wants and goes for it. The sex scenes are hot and titillating. This book will keep all walks of readers happy.

The risk is the return the millionaires club and if you read the Debt by Jackie Ashden you would know about Sebastian and and his brother Ash. This is Sebastian’s story and his dealing with his past transgressions, his mother’s issues, and the falling out between himself and Ash. Then we have Darcy. The ballerina who loves her dance but is getting tired of blending in. When she does a burlesque dance and ends with Sebastian for a night who would have thought a fantasy could change your life.

I devoured this book! It was so sexy and hot, I couldn’t put it down. And then the emotions started, and I had to see how it worked out. What started as a fantasy, became a reality for Darcy. What began as a glance across a room became an obsession for Sebastian. Darcy’s confusion transforms into clarity. Sebastian’s knowledge becomes cloudy. Both are caught up in the whirlwind that is them, and trying to decide on taking the biggest risk of all, loving each other forever

Darcy said it best - "Families are like secret wound that never quite heal. Sometimes they leave scars. But I think those scars mean you're lucky. For the rest of us, there's no hoping that the scar tissue fades from pink and becomes white over time. For most of us there's no healing. There's only coming to terms with the maintenance and the bandages as best we can."

Sebastian is used to getting whatever he wants, and offers whatever to get it, “is it money? ” He lifted a shoulder. “I will pay you whatever you wish, of course.” The man really doesn't give up easily, “let’s do this the oldfashioned way. Darcy James, I want to date you.” I loved this book, I loved Sebastian the man met his match in Darcy.

This is the second book in the series. It can be read stand alone, though. I found this book hard to get through. I never connected with the characters and was completely sick of Darcy by the end. The continuous monologues about being a ballerina was exhausting. Hoping the third is better otherwise won’t make the forth

THE RISK is amazing. The chemistry between Sebastian and Darcy is really explosive in more ways than just the bedroom. Together they feed each other and give what they really want in life, and in both cases didn't know it or didn't believe they deserved it - Love.
