As a newly crowned Queen, I've been chased from my home, forced to turn to an unfamiliar man for protection. In my world, we thrive on what you have to offer, and in order to save my home, I must give myself to a King in exchange for victory.

I promised I would make the necessary sacrifices to end the tyranny forced on my territory, but to give my heart, and lose the man who owns it, is the one thing capable of breaking me. When the choice is stolen from me, my only option is to follow through with a marriage alliance or lose the ones I love.

With tragedy striking from every attempt to win the war, I turn to the one who swore to protect me. With his love, I find a new source of freedom and tip the scales in my favor. So I believed...

Have you ever wanted to just throw a book? Not because you hate it......no! Because you LOVED it and it has you going WTH? Nooooooo, don't stop, give me more!
Well that's this one, I'd love to tell you all about it but unfortunately it would spoil the fun wouldn't it????? Let's just say you need to be emotionally prepared, not gonna say what or why, just be ready, be strong, think of puppies and crap. And then imagine all the creative ways you could go all Misery on a certain author who teases us and then BOOM! She gets you, now remember we can't really go Misery on her but it may make the time fly until we get the next one!
I love these so much!!

OMG, this book was so good. It will keep you on the edge of your seat with the action and the heat. I was happy, mad, sad, hot and so many more emotions that are too hard to name. I finished this at work and my coworkers were trying to figure out what was wrong with me when I was banging on my desk when I finished. I loved this book so much except for the cliffhanger. I have to wait for the next book and that is going to be so hard. I need more. I have to know what happens. Betty, you did it again. I can’t wait for book 3. I will have to reread this book again just to get my fix.

Well Betty, I hate you and love you at the same time!!! How can you do this to me. I need the next book right now. I NEED to know what will happen next!!

So I yelled at my kindle, laughed at it, cried so much I got a headache, and even threw my kindle once.......maybe twice!!

Fiora is growing into the fierce Queen we all knew she would be and Belore is making her life miserable. However, she's found herself some allies that I really love. Mattheas is just as fierce as ever. But at about halfway through the book we have to read all about the tragedy that Fiora is going through because of Belore. Betty Shreffler does an amazing job transporting you right into the story. Her world id unique and amazing and I want to live there and have my own Mattheas....and Ryker....and Kendrick (yes, I'm greedy). I am impatiently waiting for the 3rd book and am not going to function in the real world until it is in my hand!!

I feel cheated

By now we know our warrior princess is very lustful however on book 2 she is also coping with incredible losses, she comes to make a major decision and again the hints of a possible mfm are there and still nothing! So I feel cheated.

I thought that Book One, Claimed Royalty, was absolutely superb. But Book Two, Twice Claimed, has just completely blown it out of the water! I am completely in awe of the writing and the plot in this series. As I mentioned in my review of Claimed Royalty, this not my usual my normal genre, but I have just devoured every word and paragraph. I have been on the edge of my seat throughout this gripping book.

Twice Claimed picks up right where Book 1 ends. This book had action, political intrigue, red hot steamy scenes, suspense and intense emotion. There’s so many twists and turns that keep you guessing. The attention to detail of the world that Betty Shreffler has created is totally brilliant and the chemistry between each of the characters whether it be attraction or hate is just sensational. The reader is transported into a whole new world that we never knew existed and you feel every single emotion.

I am thoroughly enjoying this incredible series and am anxiously waiting for the conclusion!

I love a book with a heroine who is tough, smart, and assertive. Fiora is all that and more. I was so excited to jump right back into the action after the way things ended in book one. And Betty Shreffler sure didn't disappoint.

I felt like this book was moment after moment of exciting or interesting turns. There was action, passion, sadness, and strong, sexy, and supportive men. Needless to say I was hooked on this book. I flew threw the pages nervous and yet enthusiastically awaiting whatever was coming next. Twice Claimed is not only the kind of book that I would highly recommend, after reading Claimed Royalty cause that's a must, but it's the kind of book that reminds me why I fell in love with this particular author. I just don't know what the heck I'm going to do with myself while I have to wait for book 3.

Hotter and way more intense then the first story I was hooked once again. I loved the emotions this story had the sad, happy all of them you really felt with Fi was going through on each and every page. Each event that takes place is a new adventure and one I can't read fast enough. I really enjoyed all the heartache and the strength that came with each one. This time around I didn't feel as if I was reading some weird hunger games type love story it was it's own and really showed. The action was just as amazing in this story. Can I say Hott like omg I was in love with the hottness so much, sexy and all. The characters are out of this world amazing I loved each one I meet in this story. This is for a hott must read.

I finished this book this morning and have been thinking about it all day trying to figure out how I feel and what I can say to make you read this book without giving anything away. So while reading this book I was happy, hot & bothered, happy, hot & bothered, pissed, sad, angry, loads of denial, excited, hot & bothered, pissed and then the end had me going WTF did the author do that to me for???? My emotions are all over the place, not sure who I want to root for, I kinda of love all the choices she has. I may have to go #TeamKingGaurdPrince for the win. Now to hurry up and wait for book 3. GO one click this and book 1 NOW, you will thank me later.

OMG!!! I don't even know where to begin. My emotions were all over the place in part two of this trilogy. I cried, I screamed, I laughed, I was sad. At times my family was looking at me strange because I must have been talking to myself while reading it. LOL The attention to detail is fabulous. You're just pulled right in from the first page and when you reach the ending, you're left with your mouth hanging wide open! Yeah! I need that last book now!!!

OMG!!!

So worth the wait!!! As Queen and Bodyguard travel to King Rykers territory they face guards spying and seeking them. In this book you will need a box of tissues.... You will find and see love loyalties and alliances grow. But to what exactly?? You will feel love lost and love gained and you will feel betrayal. How will an alliance go between Queen and King with two hearts that have been shattered. And what happens to The Queens family.... Well all these questions will be answered when you read this second book cover to cover you will not put it down until the end. But it will leave you with a feeling of what will happen and who will overcome heartache what decisions of outcomes. Be prepared this isn’t the end. How will souls and hearts be mended. Will you think betrayal and another war. But from what side. Will there be rekindled lost love? And how will each person involved feel? Well the question will be when is Book 3. Amazing book!!! Another excellent read, thank you.

Action continues and heat level gets more delicious!

The action continues in the second book in an exciting series. Fiona’s world continues to tumble but with Mathias at her side there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but unexpected surprises brings forth more questions than answer. Her world is once again in turmoil and Ryker is someone new that delivers the heat that she can no longer deny. Love the chemistry each character delivers as this series continue to give its readers the sexy, steamy loving than only gets hotter as the suspense continues. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Royally Riveting x2!

This book was so compelling I finished it same day! This story grips you from beginning to end and takes you on a riveting, emotional, heart wrenching journey filled with swoon worthy moments. You will also experience angst, anger and the desire to kill people! lol. Betty Shreffler's writing will have you completely engrossed as she takes you into a futuristic world you feel immediately a part of. Her vivid descriptions and attention to detail are impeccable. You will love the characters and hate a few too. This is part two of a trilogy. I highly recommend this series!

Who does Fiora’s heart belong to?

This second book in the series picks up right after book 1 ends. Matheas’ love never falters for Fiora as he continues to protect his queen. With the threat of her home & people still under attack by Belore, this book introduces us to new allies. King Ryker is enamored by the courageous, fearless & beautiful Fiora. Does he stand a chance when Matheas has already claimed her heart?

This was an amazing continuation! Fiora continues to be a force to be reckoned with as she takes no mercy for her retaliation against Belore. Anxiously waiting for the next book!

I'm struggling for words, these characters grab you heart and soul and through twists and turns keep you fully captivated and longing to know more. Fiora suffers many losses yet stands as strong as she can. Ryker and Mattheas will stop at nothing to protect her and love her. I can't wait to read more if this trio

👑👑 Always together, never alone 👑👑

You absolutely have to read book one in this trilogy, Claimed Royalty first, otherwise there will be spoilers for you in this review. Get it now, you will thank me for it!

Everyone else will know that Matheas has Fiore with him and they have escaped Belore’s clutches. She never imagined her first foray outside of Anauka would be as a fugitive, and Betty Shreffler captures her horror at what has happened back home, balanced against the fascination at her new world, perfectly.

She is first and foremost, a warrior and a Queen, and they find sanctuary with King Ryker in another territory. Matheas, as her fathers emissary, had prepared for such an event should it be needed, and Ryker, mourning the loss of his fiancé for many years, was a man with a cold stone heart – until Fiore. She still needs a king, and now that her previous arrangement has been destroyed by Belore’s attack on her country, she can have the man of her choosing. Ryker is a king who will benefit her and her people through marriage, but he does not hold her heart like another does. He can’t love her like another does. But, if you think outside of the box, and Ms Shreffler certainly did, there is always a solution, and I absolutely enjoyed the tension between Ryker and Matheas, these two most alpha of males, both perfect specimens in their own ways. They each had a point to prove and vulnerabilities to get past, forgetting that maybe Fiore has a say in it all. Until Belore gets in the way with his heinous behaviour – again.

This is about when my heart got broken, shredded to bits, stomped all over and then spat on. The smallest of lights was shone at the end of a very long tunnel, then suddenly there was another cliff-hanger that has left me hanging on for dear life. Am I put out??? Weeeeeeell, no. All good things and all that. I’m waiting, Ms Shreffler, for the good thing, the third book, to come to me, because I’m waiting.

I’ll leave you with a quote that shows, absolutely, Fiore’s internal strength, which could also provide a beacon of hope for anyone with distress in their lives:

“Eyes briefly pinched closed, I take a breath, gathering my strength, and choose to change my fate.”

I fell so in love with book one, and I was so ready for book two. Going in, I didn’t know what to expect, but believe me, I was completely blown away. I had very high expectations for this book, but Ms. Shreffler blew them out of the water. I was so consumed with this book that I didn’t move, until I finished it, and even now, my mind is still racing. If there is ever a book that deserves more than 5 stars, it’s this one.

Honestly, this is a book that needs to be read from start to finish without spoilers. Everyone needs to experience the emotional roller coaster ride that I went through. I laughed, I cried, I screamed, and I almost threw my kindle across the room. My heart was ripped out just to be built back up again in so many ways.

Let me just say that Fiora is amazing, and I adore her so very much. And Mattheas has had my heart, since the beginning, BUT and there is a huge but there, Ryker is right up there. I completely fell in love with him. Ah, I’m so torn. When I got to the last page, I freaked out in a good way and a bad way. A good way because something amazing happened, but a bad way, because I need more like right now. There are not enough words to express just how much I love this series. I would have to say this is the best series of 2019 so far. Can’t wait to see what happens.

Once again Betty completely surprised me with this story and although I’ll be honest I was cursing her at times 😉, it really is an adventurous captivating must read.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited yet so anxious to start a book I was actually scared where Betty would take this ....
I was always aware this story would take me on a ride but I never expected the rollercoaster of emotions nor anything that happens in this story really !

This story didn’t break my heart it shattered it and to say I cried is quite the understatement, I sobbed !
So many times I had to stop and take a minute before continuing,
But along with the emotion, my stomach was in knots my heart was pounding and my senses were on high alert. It’s action packed and really does give all the feels. I was in edge and never could I have predicted anything that happens!

And let’s not forget the steam, man does Betty know how to write intense sexual scenes that’s sensual and passionate, so hot your panties are going to melt!!!! 😉

The feelings caused by the writing of this story truly mesmerizes me, when ever I have such a reaction to a story, when ever I am so caught up in a story where I am completely consumed I feel it only shows just how truly talented The writing is. Betty’s imagination must run wild and what she brings us is a truly fascinating story that had me hanging onto every page.
Never have I so much wanted, no needed to head to the back on the book and sneak ahead to find out what happens but I managed it and it might have just been a little worth it .... or was it ? Because now im on tenter hooks as I wait for the third book and find out where this story goes !

This book directly continues from the cliffhanger ending of book one "claimed royalty"

Fleeing for her life she entrusts her bodyguard to get them to safety.

Forged and brokered deals unbeknown to her provide a welcome alliance in her hour of need.

Red bloodied men left right and centre all seeking her core, and territory.

Who can she trust, who should she lay with?

Another fantastic action packed breath stealing read in this series.

There is beauty in kindred spirits and this book portrays this in more ways than one.

Queen Fiora is the female of the hour that everyone wants. She's a true warrior princess who's not afraid to get her hands dirty. She is compassionate to those around her and caring of those further afield. A true heart that's both passionate and fierce.

Mathea is her bodyguard her childhood friend, her adult lover to a degree. His heart belongs to her alone and his life is hers.

He's the kind of guy we all dream of. He lives and breathes her and always will.

King Ryker is half a man. His heart lost, his passion lies in his land and people. He's the guy who suprises you. Springs up from nowhere with a heart of gold and intentions to match.

I don't know who to give my heart too first! they are all stunning characters with deep complicated emotional wants and needs.

I am amazed at how taken by this series I am knowing how different it is to my usual kind of read.

That's what makes it all the more special though, that it can have such a deep and profound effect upon me when it's slightly out of my comfort zone.

I can't wait to see which direction this series veers off towards next!!

This book is amazing! It starts right from where the last one ended and the thrilling story continues, just as entertaining as book one was. I really enjoyed reading more about Fiora and Matheas. Some new characters are introduced and they are no less interesting. All in all, it is an adventurous and thrilling read, full of romantic heat.
Fiora and Matheas have managed to run away before they could be captured by King Belore. They are going to the Free Territories and plan to strike back from there. All Fi wants is to save her home and her people and no matter what she will make sure of that. The Kind Ryker of Free Territories is a reasonable man and he agrees to help them in exchange for a price, of course.
Ryker has never met a woman like Fiona before. He respects her like a Queen and admires her as a woman. Too bad her heart belongs to another man. Perhaps there is still hope for him because she definitely responds to his touches.
Fiora is distraught at the loss of her mother and wants to know more about her family's safety. From the very beginning, this book is an emotional rollercoaster. Too much happens too fats and it will keep the readers on their toes, wanting more and never getting enough. I quite enjoyed it and would recommend it to all readers.
Although, it is a very sad story somehow the author has also made is fun and passionate tale of love and loss. I can't wait to read what happens in the next book. This series has been going quite well and I have high hopes for book three. ;)
P.S. I received a complimentary copy of this book

I don't know how Ms. Sheffler did it, but Twice Claimed is better than the first!! I got caught up as the story unfolds even more. Fiora is such a great female lead, and with everything that goes on with her, you cannot help but to root for her. So Twice Claimed picks up where book one leaves off. And as with book one, this one ends with a cliff hanger. But, we are set up perfectly for book three.
Fiora had her world tore all up when Belore's attack changes everything. Having to seek shelter and safety with King Ryker. Who along with her lover Matheas, will do anything to protect her. But Belore will stop at nothing to have Fiora, which shows in the destruction he leaves in his quest to have her. Can Fiora escape Belore? Who will save her?

Guys, seriously this is such a good read. In book one we are introduced to the players and sets us up for the action packed, twists and turns that Twice Claimed brings. Fiora is such a strong character. If you loved her before, well you will worship her here. She is everything you would want a ruler to be. She is funny, loyal, caring, and strong. She has so much she has to face, and she faces them head on. You will go through so many emotions like I did. I wanted to laugh, cry, cringe, and throw my kindle with that ending. I really need book three, like now.

Overall, Twice Claimed is a fantastic second read on a series that is top notch. If you have not tried this series, please do. If you have and are curious about book two. Its better than the first.

So let's see. How to give my opinion on this wonderful tale of futuristic romance. The story has rover crafts, Queens and Kings, Arms Men and Horses. It is a tale of territorial wars, where Kings are trying to take what they feel they need to make their territory large and undefeatable. It's a power struggle. Queen Fiora is a warrior. But she doesn't want to follow the traditions her parents want her to follow. She feels you should not be matched with a royal suitor. She wants to be able to pick her own King to be by her side to rule her territory. King Ryker is a King who rules with respect and with the well being of his people coming first. He rules his territory with a strong hand. And he is highly respected by other territory leaders and rulers. Matheas is Queen Fiora's Royal Bodyguard. He risks his life daily to make sure she stays alive. Their tale is intriguing and suspenseful. It is full of twists and turns. And there are some hot sexual tension thrown in and some steamy sex scenes.
Really enjoyed this tale. But I was a little irritated with the ending. Can't wait for the next book.
