Excellent resource both for those who have never learned a language and for those who are experienced in it. It is an informational pdf, but it is based on different research, which I have read most of, but that is much more difficult to understand than this free handout.
I advise people who have never learned a language before or who are not at all familiar with lingusitic terminology to leisurely read through it once to gain the big picture without worrying about the details, and then to read more carefully the second time when they understand the principles. It's a short free pdf, reading it twice won't take away much time from actual language learning and benefits will be enormous.
It gives scientifically proven advice about general techniques for language learning, and specific exercises that can be done to achieve those goals.
Extremely helpful.
It's available here as a free resource in several different languages
There is some good information here, especially if you have never learned anything before about how to learn, especially languages.
However, it's extremely repetitive and boring - it could have been easily cut by a third, and it would have been much better. Thankfully, it's still on the shorter side even with all those extra pages.
