For the Batman that’s never a good thing – especially if you’re Dick Grayson, the original Robin, now stepping into the shoes of your mentor. A cruel new Gotham tests Batman, as a mysterious figure called the Dealer is spreading a deadly venom around the city and creating monsters in his wake. At the same time, Commissioner Gordon faces his own dark reflection, his psychopathic son, James Junior has returned…
Scott Snyder is the Eisner and Harvey Award winning writer on DC Comics Batman, Swamp Thing, and his original series for Vertigo, American Vampire. He is also the author of the short story collection, Voodoo Heart, published by the Dial Press in 2006. The paperback version was published in the summer of 2007.
James Jr scares the hell out of me, maybe even more than the masks because he is just a random bloke, so any issue with him in it I am going to really like. Also anything with Dick and Babs together makes the romantic in me feel warm and fuzzy. Freaking love Batman, going to read part 2 right now, let's see what James Jr is up too, or maybe he is actually innocent???
A great start, shame it had to be split up but as this collection tends to be 7 max. The full run was a bit too much but it’s all good gives me the other half to look forward to.
