What happens when an alpha wants to fake a relationship?
Rob’s on a working holiday and meets Noah, an alpha, who barges into his life.
The omega rejects the alpha’s proposal, and there’s friction between the pair as the omega is both intrigued and peeved.
Noah’s sister, Nat, arrives and causes more chaos due to a misunderstanding, while Rob’s life is complicated further when he and Nat strike up a friendship.
But Rob has a secret, and when Noah finds out, he questions whether he can be in a relationship with the omega. And Rob asks himself the same thing.
As Valentine’s Day nears, the alpha scales a great height to demonstrate his sincerity.
But will the omega accept the offer or leave the alpha dangling?
This is a 15,000-word, non-shifter, mpreg novella.
Colbie’s characters are sexy, hot, adorable - and often filthy - alphas and omegas. They include feudal lords with dark secrets, outrageous aristocrats with scandals buried deep in their past and poverty-stricken gentleman who have gambled away their inheritance.
Lurking in the background are notorious kings, princesses, and courtiers whose opinions change with each whisper in their ear.
And as for Colbie herself? She dictates her steamy stories with a glass of champagne in one hand. Because why not?

*3.5 - 4 stars* Rob's work combines pleasure with usefulness, as it involves frequent trips and allows him to stay in exclusive hotels. However, what distinguishes this trip from others is a stupid question asked by an unbelievably handsome but incredibly annoying and intrusive alpha: "Will you be my Valentine?". At that moment, Rob doesn't even think about it too much, as he gives the only sensible answer. The problem is that Noah clearly doesn't accept the fact that this attractive omega is not interested in his offer. Instead, he tries very hard to persuade Rob to be part of his fake relationship game that would help him save his face in front of his family, who is about to meet his not existing mate. As a result of a misunderstanding, Rob becomes part of this lie, even if he doesn't want to.
"The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine" is a very short story, and although it's not very ambitious, its huge advantage is the omnipresent humor. To tell you the truth, while reading this novella the readers have a smile on their faces for the whole time. Even if the story starts to get serious, the author quickly releases the tension with another dose of funny situations, dialogues and the characters' astonishing behavior. No matter how hard it is to make you laugh, how serious you are in your everyday life, or how often you are in a bad mood. You have no chance against Colbie Dunbar, as while reading this story, each one of you will be smiling.
Another advantage of "The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine" is the way in which the characters are presented. In fact, I was a bit surprised, as I was expecting their creation to be more trite. But instead of being predictable, Colbie Dunbar showed us the characters who are far from what we usually expect from a typical alpha or omega. Let's start with our leads, so with Noah and Rob. The first one is a bit of a clumsy alpha who combines requests with flirtation in a rather inept and therefore amazingly funny manner. The other is a self-confident, sassy omega whose heart is quite hard to steal. No less interesting are the supporting characters, such as Nat, Noah's sister, who is even less stereotypical than Rob in terms of the presentation of the omegas. Meanwhile, her husband seems almost to disappear next to her, to blend in with the crowd, to be a shadow to her light. So how can you not like such a cheerful bunch? I think it is almost impossible.
Certainly, the way in which the author showed the mates also deserves our special attention. I admit that I really like it when this motif appears in the omegaverse novels, but what irritates me is the fact that often the mutual physical attraction is stronger than one's own will. That's why I love the fact that in "The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine" the characters can think rationally, despite the aforementioned attraction. Sure, they are physically attracted to each other, but still they are able to say "no", turn on their heels and simply walk away, decide for themselves whether that acquaintance makes sense. What is more, the leads look at each other through the prism of their personalities, their character traits, and not just through the physical attractiveness. It really is a huge plus of this novella, and thus the thing that convinced me the strongest and the fastest to love this story.
In summary, "The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine" is a very light and quite short novella, which we read with pleasure and smile of amusement on your faces. Colbie Dunbar presents us a story that will certainly be perfect during the bad days when we see everything in dark colors. All it takes is a few moments and our mood immediately improves.

Kolejną zaletą „The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine” jest przedstawienie bohaterów. Tymczasem Colbie Dunbar ukazuje nam w swojej nowelce bohaterów, którym daleko do typowego alfy i omegi.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is a quick and funny instant romance between Noah and Rob. Noah is an alpha and he approached Rob at a bar at a resort with an unusual request. Noah asked Rob to be his Valentine, explaining his family are coming into town and think he has found his mate. Noah asked Rob to pretend to be his mate and lie to his family. Rob is grumpy and refuses Noah's request and leaves him. Noah shows up later at the cabin Rob is staying at with flowers and candy, only to be ambushed by Noah's sister and her husband. Rob is really angry about the intrusion and when a baby cries, Noah freezes and his sister wants to know why he never mentioned the baby. Noah squirms and Rob gets a little joy at watching the alpha try to talk his way out of things, but also wants everyone to leave. When Noah and Rob talk after everyone leaves, Noah confesses his feelings for Rob and tells him there is something about him he wants to get closer to. Rob is an omega who adopted his nephew after his brother and his husband were killed in a car accident and has been alone since. Rob is lonely and is attracted to Noah, so he has to decide if he can risk being with him. I really liked this sweet story. I laughed and thought Rob was enjoying Noah squirming and trying to get out of his lie. I think Noah was sweet, but unsure how to express himself. Good one.
Received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review
This is a cute and fluffy quick read. The main characters are decent people, they go well together. The side characters are nice. The premise is cute and works well, especially since it's short lived. I know there's limitations given the length, I would've however enjoyed more time devoted to relationship building. Since they're time together was spent mostly with an audience, there's not really decent "getting to know you" time. I really don't know why they decided to commit to each other. There's always an element of insta-love in ABO stories and that's present here, to a degree. I DO like that the mating is a choice. It's not "WHAM, you're my mate, I must have you!". That was a surprising take that I am very in favor of. I would love to see more of that.
I wouldn't necessarily call this mpreg, as no men actually get pregnant in this story (although the MCs get a good start on it near the end), but it is a fun, flirty story. There is a little role reversal here, with a strong-willed Omega and a bit scatter-brained, but persistent Alpha. I couldn't help rooting for Alpha Noah and hoping he could win Omega Rob over. Noah really had a good heart and seemed to be a true romantic, even though he seemed to not know how to go about impressing an omega. The hijinx he went through were heart-warming and funny. Absolutely loved Noah's sister Natalie, too. Although in real life, she would probably drive me crazy, she obviously cared about her brother.
I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest, voluntary review.
A short, sweet & emotional MM romance about an alpha male (Noah) who approaches an omega male (Rob) with a strange request, naturally Rob refuses to play along & from here the story begins. The plot is well-written & interesting. The characters are quite well-developed and they are realistic & believable. There is: some twists, drama, humor, family issues, attractions, sarcasm, emotional feelings, shyness, some steam, happiness, contentment & love. I enjoyed reading this short MM romance and would recommend it.
The Omega's Sun-Kissed Valentine by Colbie Dunbar is a short Valentines romance. It's a fun read about a fake boyfriend turning real. Rob and Noah are great characters and I enjoyed their interactions. Sweet, cute and fun.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
This book was definitely short but a sweet tale. The Alpha was clueless in the beginning and the omega took some joy in teasing him. There is a cute baby who adds a lot to the book. The ending was a bit rushed. I would have liked an epilogue. I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my honest review
I have been reading a lot of dark stories this was a good cleanser. It was cute and funny. Characters were great and I love how the alpha is the one who made a fool of himself.
3.5 stars......I like a great short read, and this one was super fluffy, no real, angst, insta lust and a baby....I personally feel the story could have npbeen expanded on just a little more. We have Alpha Noah who asks Omega Rob to pretend to be his fake boyfriend....we all know how those stories work out, add in a baby and a very chatty sister and you end up with a very pleasant story to read.
A cute and fluffy short insta love. I’m really sorry but I just couldn’t get into it. I think it was just me but yeah, unfortunately it just didn’t hold my attention and excite me like I thought it would...
