Unlike all the other people who have given this a rating before it's even been published in paperback, I was given an advanced advanced copy of this book. I was an alpha-reader. However, my opinions are my own and this review is unbiased.
Crow and Jazz ... could we ask for a better ending to such an amazing series? I don't think so.
JSJ knows how to hit you in the heart. These two are raw, real and face demons nobody should have to face. I can't get over Jazz's strength and Crow's patience, they're an unlikely match that is made for each other. What a way to end a series. Bravo!!

The last line from Jeanne St. James's previous book "Dawg" was responsible for the collective catch in the throat felt by her loyal readers across the globe. I didn't think she could write a sentence that could affect me as strongly as that last line did, but I was wrong. In "Crow," St. James's final DAMC offering, there is a line in chapter 3 (page 42) that was so powerful I had to stop reading for a bit to process my emotions. That one particular line struck a chord with me as a social worker who works with very vulnerable populations, as it encapsulated the impact of a particular trauma on a visceral level.
I've mentioned it in previous reviews of her other books, but I love St. James's characterizations. Each character has a distinct voice. The dialogue is written in a way that makes the reader feel as though they can hear the characters speaking. Long-time readers of St. James can read a random passage and say, "Yep. That is such a Crow or Diesel thing to say."
Another thing that moved me about "Crow" is the titular character's portrayal. As a mixed-race Indigenous woman, I've often read and watched portrayals of my people as over the top caricatures. We are either portrayed as noble/ignoble savages or as long-suffering victims. Crow's heritage is front and center, but the emphasis was never on his being exotic. Not once was he the token Native. Rather, he was portrayed as a complex man one of whose many facets just happened to be his being mixed race. St. James also acknowledged the casual micro aggressions faced by Indigenous folks (being referred to as "squaw") but she presented its many interpretations such as it being a racist term versus a term used by someone who used it not to offend but rather did not fully understand the depth of its meaning. The scene with Rocky was beautifully written, as it portrayed how Crow straddled different worlds: a brother who belonged, but still somehow set apart.
Jazz is a character that will simultaneously break your heart and leave you in awe of the tenacity of the human spirit. We've seen her evolution from Hawk's book to this, and this was the full circle that Jazz needed.

I knew I was going to love this one! It was so worth the wait.
I got my answers on Pierce. Jazz came back.. And Crow.. my gawd.. 🥰👅
This man had me in book 2, and I'm so happy he did not disappoint with his own story. I LOVE this man's Love Language. It's beautiful. And it would bring any female to her knees if she were the focal point of it.... I'm so beyond thrilled that Jazz was his chosen one and had always been. So happy she got her HEA and with a male like Crow. She deserves it. And he deserves a woman with the heart that Jazz possesses.
I loved their journey together. I cried. Got hot. Was giddy, angry on their behalf.. All of it. I also love how the DAMC plight, collectively, was brought to a close, or maybe a really long reprieve for now. Either way I'm happy.. This decades long fued was scary and heartbreaking to watch at times throughout this series. But I am pleased how it was shut down..
I must say this though.. that dude Mercy? Something's wrong with that man. 😳
So you already know, I am going to finish books 11-13 📚 and then hop my caramel behind over to these Spin Offs 🤣 I hope I love them too.

God this is a bittersweet review to write. This was BY FAR my favorite book in the series but it's also the last! *sob* why why why is it over?! Noooooo I'm not ready!
I bitched the entire time this series was going that I wanted a sweeter heroine. Someone that was different than the other crass and... "experienced" heroines and then Jeanne gives me the wonderful gift of Jazz and poof. The series is over. I'M NOT READY!
Crow was EVERYTHING I had hoped he would be. This book was sweet but also SMOKING HOT!
While you can enjoy this book on its own I strongly suggest you read the others (especially Hawk) to truly appreciate this one.

This was one character I couldn’t wait to see him get his HEA. Though I won’t lie and tell you it was all roses because through half the book I wanted to shake Crow so hard!!! Lol.
Now, don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the story and totally see why he put her at arm’s length even when he did open up his house and body to her. It was all about protection and keeping her safe and making her feel safe. Which she 100% deserves after what she went through.
Jazz is a freaking strong woman, she comes back scared, but with a determination to heal. I love that she asks for what she wanted and even though it was hard she never shied away from her wants.
I will say that ending has me going hmm ooohh and awwee. I can’t wait to see what is to come.
Ohh Joe, how I adore your voice, sigh I just can’t get enough of his smooth rich voice. We all know how I feel about Ava’s voice. ;) LUSH!

Audio Review
I have been waiting for what seems forever for Crow’s story in audio but boy was it worth the wait. From start to finish Jeanne St James and the narrators Joe Arden & Ava Lucas drew me in and kept captivated with their narration which was spot on and really brought this story to life for me.
I knew going in that this is the final book in the Dirty Angels MC series and I was excited and yet sad to listen to Crow and Jazz’s story with this in mind. I love Ms. St James’s writing, she packs such a punch into her characters and her stories. Raw and gritty there is something about this series that truly captivated me. Thank you Ms. St James and all the talented narrators for a wonderful series.
Can Crow be the man that Jazz needs so desperately to bring her back to life, to help her finally heal, both physically and mentally, or will the 12 year age gap mean he walks away from their chance of happiness?
This is an emotional story as Crow, the tattoo artist of the club and Jazz the woman who was so badly hurt and traumatized in the beginning of the series finally come together. It was a fitting story for Crow and Jazz and I was riveted to it, listening well into the night. In my opinion it was also a great way to close out the series.

I feel like we've been waiting on this one for a long time. Crow is the brother that I've really liked, always around, always there to help the guy when they fuck up and there to pat the woman's back and soothe things over. I was shocked at who was paired up with Crow, not sure of them, but I definitely knew I wanted to know more about Jazz and how things had been for her since she left. As I read more, the more I realized that these two were perfect for each other, their only road block was going to be Crow himself. If he could just let himself have some of the happy that the others were finding, he would have it all. It was close, but finally he got his head out of his ass and the end and went after what he wanted!
I really liked how all the women welcomed back Jazz with open arms, gave her something else that she needed, that sisterhood.

Man I hate it when one of my fav MC series comes to an end. I just refuse to say goodbye. However, this last book couldn't have been any better. I have watched Crow love (like sisters) the other men's women and it was a joy to see him with Jazz.
Her situation gutted me when it happened and I truly never thought she would be able to move past it and find a sense of peace. This author can really pull on the emotions like a champion!
To say I am pleased and surprised by this book would be a truth. I loved Crow and Jazz together. They healed each other. FABULOUS series!

So sad this series has come to an end, loved all the characters. Favourite couple between Emma and Dawg and Bella and Axel. least favourite Jewel and Diesel. Can’t wait to go through all this authors other series. Easy reading/listening and getting through them quickly.

Crow & Jazz
Been waiting awhile to get Crow's story. While I'm happy he has finally found his perfect person I was kind of bored with this one. It had it's moments snippets of the sisterhood and brothers but it just fell flat for me. I really didn't see the big deal about the age difference so I rolled my eyes a bit on that issue. All in all I was happy that Jazz trusted Crow and took a chance on him. It still was a great read. I have many unanswered questions especially about why Rocky's children don't visit him. If DAMC is supposed to be so much about family how could they not visit him and bring his grandchildren. That has been one of my biggest issues with this series.

Yes Yes Crow!!!
Absolutely loved Crow and Jazz's story. I have been waiting for this book since the beginning. I also wondered what happened with Jazz. This story is not an easy read and its background goes all the way back to Hawk and Kiki's book. I highly recommend reading the entire series before reading Crow you will have a better understanding of what Jazz went though as well as Crow.
Overall I am sad this is last for now of the DAMC. I loved this series. One of my favorite MC Romances to date. Happy Reading

Just like Jazz, we have been holding out for this hero since day one, and even my wildest fantasies couldn't do Crow justice. He is the definition of tall, dark, and handsome, but he is also patient, tender, and the most empathetic of all the DAMC guys. Jazz suffered through the worst life had to give her and emerged like a Phoenix from the ashes. She may have been down for a while, hiding from herself and the world, but her inner strength shines bright.
There is no time limit when healing from a trauma, no magic potion that can make it all better. It's a battle that's fought every day. Crow and Jazz prove that the right kind of love, the all-consuming all accepting kind, can face that challenge and keep fighting.
Jeanne spared our feelings zero Mercy with this story. From the beginning, it pulls you in and, like a fine wine, deserves to be savored. Being the last book in the series, we get some closure on past issues and a sense of peace in the club that people are right where they need to be. The sisterhood continues to be one of my favorite aspects of this DAMC world, and I was happy they were around for some good-natured ribbing and encouragement. The brotherhood is strong, and a few surprising faces deliver wise words when they are needed the most.
I've been waiting for Crow's book and Jazz's return to the Valley. Never thought they would be one and the same. Loved how they were brought back together. It had a lot of authenticity. After trama, people tend to find comfort in a fellow survivor or a person they trust exclusively. If you can't make those connections, you can spiral down a dark road. Jazz is so precious, and Crow makes sense. Really been laying down the path for him threw the whole series. Great love story. These two have what we all dream about. Absolute trust. Great launching point for the new series as well.

OMG!!! I have loved every book in this series but Crow and Jazz just hit ALL the feels in me and wow...I need Mercy's book like right now.
This one was so angst-filled and steamy and sad and exciting...right down to the last surprising pages. I'm ready for the new biker series now as well =) Bravo!

Epic conclusion! Ver emotional!
Emotional and healing conclusion to DAMC series! Loved Crow from his first mention and I'm so glad he got such a beautiful story! Jeanne is a master with these alphas! And I can't wait to see peaks of them in the next series!

This book was amazing! We have been anxiously awaiting who Crow would fall for being how popular he is with the sisterhood. I’m glad he was able to help Jazz find herself again after all she went through, endured and survived. Also Crow was able to make peace with his past. We see the similar thread of the DAMC member not getting his head out of his A** too. Crow and Jazz story was definitely a tough one. Again, I say this with every book. I love the sisterhood. These female characters are awesome and funny!! We also get some insight into a Mercy with this book. I can’t wait for his story.

This is a ranting review..
Traumatized heroine comes back home after 6 years. She's seeking help from the guy she had a crush on, before everything went to hell for her. She's asking him to sleep with her, because she trust him and want to finally put the past behind.
I needed more from Crow (hero). It was heartbreaking how Jazz (heroine) thought that Crow was only doing a favour for her, nothing else. That he wanted someone else, something more for a woman. Someone with more curves, more experience, more sexy, just more.. Not her.. The way she found out half empty box of condoms and realized that she was nothing special that Crow had a lot of sex, with lots of women in the same bed they were on, was devasteting for me. I was devastetd for her. They way she thought 'she probably wasn't even the choice he wanted in his bed' was aweful!!! The way she whispered 'i'm sorry' when they joined for the frist time was just UGH!! It was too much, allmost made me tear up. My sweet Jazz, you deserved better!!! Yeah, Crow gave a nice speech after that, but still it made me feel that it didn't come from the place 'it's always been you, i only live for you', more like 'i do this for you because i care for you, but only as a friend'..
I just wanted, Crow to ease her fiers, to assure her that she was everything and more. Crow was lacking for this aspect.
I felt that Diamond (Crows bff) was 'The one Who got away'. And Jazz was the second choice. Honestly I had a hard time reading about Crow and Diamonds relationship.
He discribes Diamond as a strong woman, but he sees Jazz as a damaged poor girl, who he feels sorry for. He admids to Diamonds old man Slade that he is drawn to Diamond, but never in his inner dialougues he think his drawn to Jazz.
Also one of the heartbreaking moments was when Jazz remebered Crow saying that he would do whatever he had to to protect his woman, even if she wasn't his oldlady. Jazz assumed that Crow thought Diamond as his woman even thought Diamond belonged to Slade. This assumption was never corrected by Crow and that really upsetted me!
I think the story was great. There was kind of ow drama included and the ow was heros bff. I actually love that trope. But only if the hero makes actions to assure the heroine that she is the love of his life and put heroine as a priority with great gestures. In this story that never happend and I feel like the heroine was a second best choice... It felt lacking.
In The last chapter before epilogue Crow finally figured that yeah maybe he wanted Jazz.
And the epilogue of cource had to include Diamond, i mean come on...

The way she found out half empty box of condoms and realized that she was nothing special that Crow had a lot of sex, with lots of women in the same bed they were on, was devasteting for me. I was devastetd for her. They way she thought 'she probably wasn't even the choice he wanted in his bed' was aweful!!! The way she whispered 'i'm sorry' when they joined for the frist time was just UGH!! It was too much, allmost made me tear up. My sweet Jazz, you deserved better!!! Yeah, Crow gave a nice speech after that, but still it made me feel that it didn't come from the place 'it's always been you, i only live for you', more like 'i do this for you because i care for you, but only as a friend'..
I just wanted, Crow to ease her fiers, to assure her that she was everything and more. Crow was lacking for this aspect.
I felt that Diamond (Crows bff) was 'The one Who got away'. And Jazz was the second choice. Honestly I had a hard time reading about Crow and Diamonds relationship.
He discribes Diamond as a strong woman, but he sees Jazz as a damaged poor girl, who he feels sorry for. He admids to Diamonds old man Slade that he is drawn to Diamond, but never in his inner dialougues he think his drawn to Jazz.
Also one of the heartbreaking moments was when Jazz remebered Crow saying that he would do whatever he had to to protect his woman, even if she wasn't his oldlady. Jazz assumed that Crow thought Diamond as his woman even thought Diamond belonged to Slade. This assumption was never corrected by Crow and that really upsetted me!
I think the story was great. There was kind of ow drama included and the ow was heros bff. I actually love that trope. But only if the hero makes actions to assure the heroine that she is the love of his life and put heroine as a priority with great gestures. In this story that never happend and I feel like the heroine was a second best choice... It felt lacking.
In The last chapter before epilogue Crow finally figured that yeah maybe he wanted Jazz.
And the epilogue of cource had to include Diamond, i mean come on...

Eh... I expected more both for and from Crow, to be honest. Crow, who always had wise, level-headed, mature advice for everyone else, sucked at taking his own advice. Thank God Linc finally called him out on his bullshit. Anyone who thinks the way Crow did in everyone else’s books would have never taken Jazz on as more than a friend because he’d know that she’d form an attachment to him and that would be bad for her in the long run if he intended to not stay with her in the end. I know Jazz is a severely traumatized character, but there’s just something about her that didn’t seem to click for me. I’m not even really sure what it is or why. I hated how she never put her foot down with Crow when he’d point out to her that they were not going to be a permanent thing. I wish she’d have told him to go get f-ed and gone to stay with her grandparents. I’m sad that this is the last book of this series and I’m even more sad that this last book didn’t make me feel like the series ended with a bang.

Alright. Just alright. Didn’t really feel the connection between Crow & Jazz. But I do like Diamond & Crows friendship and glad Crow & Slade can mend their relationship.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Wow, I didn’t know what to expect with Crow’s story but I was absolutely blown away. I’ve loved this series like they were my family and I hate to see it end, but I’m sure with the upcoming series our favorites will be intertwined in those stories as well. Where do I start? Crow has always had a special place in the women of the DAMC’s hearts, he’s loving, kind and all-around sweetheart. When he first saw Jazz she was 18 years old, too young but that never stopped him from wanting her. When that fateful day came, and she was destroyed, he felt helpless and when she left he had no idea if he’d ever see her again. It’s been a long six years and she’s back and she came back to him for help to get her past everything that happened. When she saw Crow for the first time, she knew he was it for her and when her life changed never did she ever think she would feel again. She needs him to do something for her, her plans are short lived to be back in town, but the feelings between them are still there, and the age difference for him is a big thing, 12 years is nothing in this day and age, but he can’t get past it, but the more time they spend together, she’s burrowing under his skin and he can’t shake her free, he wants what’s best for her and Jazz believes it’s him, but can she convince him that it’s true? When their agreement is up will Crow let her walk away or will he ask her to stay and claim her? No spoilers, I hate to say it but I think that Crow is my favorite DAMC out of everyone, I love them all but he really hit it home for me, he’s passionate, sexy, patient and this is what Jazz needed. I loved this book, what a way to end the series, but also a way to get the new chapter started. We do get to see a bit of Mercy in their story, he’s such a complex guy and pot stirrer, but I’m excited to see more of him. Highly recommend this book, and the series if you haven’t started it yet, you will be addicted!!

Aw man, reading Jazz and Crow's story was so bittersweet. I have been waiting for a long time for both of their stories. For them to turn out to be one and the same was perfect! At the same time, I almost didn't want to start reading knowing this is the last book in the series. The men of the DAMC and the sisterhood have found a place in my heart. Each couple is special, but Jazz and Crow, they might just take the top spot.
Secretly wanting each other from afar many years ago, a devastating attack almost ruined their chance to pursue a relationship. Jazz left town shortly after the attack and hasn't been back to Shadow Valley for six years. She's back now and needs help to move past what happened and find herself again. She thinks Crow is just the man to help her. Crow is dealing with his own demons, secrets from his past. Plus, at 40, her thinks he's too old for 28 year old Jazz. Will she ever be able to convince him that they're perfect for each other?
Their story was such a beautiful one. For victims of sexual assault, being able to trust and be intimate with someone is often extremely difficult. It takes a special person to be able to give that balance between understanding and babying. Crow is that special person for Jazz. The way he was so patient, caring, and tender with Jazz pulled at my heartstrings. I absolutely love these two together!
While I am sad to see this series come to an end, I am happy to say it's not the last we'll see of the Angels and their ol' ladies. The first book of the In the Shadows Security series, Guts & Glory: Mercy, can't get here fast enough! There will be so much catching up to do with this group who feels like a part of the family. If you have not started the Dirty Angels MC series, I would highly recommended it! All of the books are technically standalone stories but I would recommend reading them in order.

I cannot believe that this series has reached it's end! It's one of the best I have listened to, each story intertwined with characters, having it's own original plot. We end with Crow. He has been in so many of the books, as he is the inkslayer of the DAMC. When Jasmine comes back to town looking for a tattoo, he is the only one that can give her what she is looking for. We have met Jasmine before in Hawk's book, and her tragedy had her mending for several years, but now she is looking to begin a new chapter of her life, and she has a plan that includes Crow. With 12 years between them though, and a history that leaves them both with needed healing, will these two ever get together? Again Jeanne St James has captured my heart with her hero. Each one holds a special place for me, and Crow's tenderness and protectiveness burrowed his way right into me. But while I love Crow to death, the character of Jasmine has captured my full attention. What a life this girl has had, with tragedy endured, she rises above and becomes a full fledged fighter, gathering her wits and coming back to life. And the intermixing of all my favorites coming in and making me feel like I have come home. This series has been an amazing journey, and I am so glad I have taken it!
Once again, St James has found the essence of each character with a chosen voice. Joe Arden is Crow through and through. He breathes life into the character, with the full hesitancy Crow projects, yet throws that overwhelming protective love vibe in. He is amazing. Ava Lucas, who has nailed every female in this series, with a different voice and personality gives Jasmine the initiative to start her life with inflections and emotions with her performance. What a way to end it all! Loved the series, and every one of the 10 narration teams.

The end. The end of this series but we are set up for two more series. There are many more members of this MC but not everyone gets their own story. Just the most talked about ones and we have gotten a lot of information on for the next series. Just glad Crow got his. Hopefully some of these members will be in other books.

Thankfully he doesn't remember because he was too young but his father was a member of the club back in the day when it first started up but he and his wife were murdered and Crow was there. His mother's family came for him so he wasn't raised in the club. It doesn't say why he came back but it was hinted that he wanted to know what happened. He is now 40 yrs old and until this book he never wanted to hear the details. It's pretty sad what happened.
Jazz never was really a part of the club. Her Grand parents are so she was around a lot. If you have read the earlier books you know what happened to her and her parents moved her away a few years ago. She has had all the surgeries that she can to cover her scars but she can still read what was carved into her stomach and now she is back in town for two things. One is to get Crow to tattoo her stomach to cover the scars and she needs help with moving on. She doesn't trust very easy and after what happened I don't blame her. She has always liked Crow and does trust him. Can he help her with not only her physical appearance but both her mental and other physical needs. Can he trust himself with a woman who is younger and he has always been attracted to. Come along for the ride. This is a really good book.

Emotional, heartbreaking, fierce, courageous, gritty but the characters are written with real heart - highly recommend!
For mature readers (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence, such as assault, kidnapping, (attempted) rape, and murder.
This is a MC series, but the Dirty Angels are not an outlaw MC. They stand for loyalty, brotherhood and family, and the Prez (Zak) has worked hard to turn all of their business legitimate, but they are not afraid to do what is necessary to protect the ones they love.
While this could be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc with another MC.
I believe this might be the last main story in the original Dirty Angels series, but fortunately for me there are several spin off series and hopefully some novellas in the future.
In this well-written story Crow finally gets a chance to help someone that was hurt deeply physically and emotionally in an earlier story. She left town for 6 years and then shows up out of the blue for his help. One thing she is confident he will be happy to help with, the other she is not so sure about ...

Disappointed in this one
I was so looking forward to Crow and Jazz’s book. (SPOILERS).....It started out great. I have to agree with the reviewer who stated she didn’t approve of Crow and Diamond’s relationship. Once she became Slade’s ol lady and pregnant with his baby, it crossed a line. Especially since it bothered Slade but Crow and Diamond didn’t care. Even after everything that Jazz went through—she had the courage to pour her heart out to Crow. And even though he always wanted her, he still rejected her. He freaked out because Mercy wanted her, but he wasn’t willing to claim her until the very end of the book. That totally pissed me off. I almost wanted Jazz to tell Crow to f—-off and go be with Mercy. At least he acted like he wanted something with her.
It also seemed like the only reason he decides to claim her is because she stays in town and he doesn’t want to see her with anyone else. If she would have gone back to New York, he would have let her go. That bothered me. I wanted him to not be able to live without her whether she left town or not. It seemed like he was totally willing to move on without her as long as she was gone.
The epilogues in this series are usually pretty good and give good closure but this one was mostly dedicated to setting up a new series with different MC. Since this is the last book in this series, I felt it should have focused more on the characters from this series. At least we get to visit these characters in her Guts and Glory series. Especially Diesel and Jewel.

First thing. If you’re into MC books then yes read all of these DAMC series! Loved them all!

OMG! I knew before he even said her name it was Jazz😭😭😭 and damn did I get choked up. I never thought she’d come back & damn I never expected her to be Crow’s, I was wondering who the heck was gunna tie him down, because of his beautiful, caring nature towards the women I knew she had to be special & man they were the perfect match. Really happy Jazz came back, she had the worst experience out of all of them, and Crow was definitely the perfect man to bring the sunshine back in her life. Loved them soo much!
I almost felt sad for Mercy because I tell ya, he’s who I’d go for. I fell for him the moment he was mentioned in these books so I’m the most excited for his story but more for his smut😂
LOVED THE DAMC, the fierce protectiveness of all the men, the fact that they never let anyone disrespect their women (even though they themselves could be stupid) no prospect, sweet butt or outsider was allowed to disrespect them & that’s how it should be. The love & loyalty between the brothers, makes me itch to be apart of a community so strong in loyalty. I love all the babies, love stories & happy endings, I’m wondering who Kelsea will end up with? I can’t imagine her story being finished.

Crow never thought she would just show up in his shop, not after six years. But here she is and she needs him. Jazz needs his help in covering the scars of her past and breaking through the fears. Crow knows she is too young and just needs help to get back to where she was before her life was destroyed. Jazz has loved Crow too long and has to seize her chance at being in his arms even if it means that she has to walk away in the end. Can family and love heal the broken?
Coming to the end of the DAMC is like saying goodbye to family. Having lived with these characters and coming to know them so well, it was hard to start Crow. I have looked forward to his story forever, a character that has attracted and mystified from the beginning. Crow keeps so much hidden and doesn't even realize that he is lonely. Jazz coming back to Shadow Valley was a shock and I am so glad she got strong enough to get her life back. To take the chance that Crow would turn her down, not to mention everything she went through shows how strong she really is. These two grow so close so fast, they just are perfect for each other.
