When Xander Santos is left at the altar, he can't even drown his woes in alcohol. Newly single, newly pregnant, and facing down a future of single parenthood, he sneaks away from his friends and hits the bar anyway... for a cup of juice. If he can't drink, then at least he can have a moment alone to gather his thoughts.
Teacher Kent Coker is also facing a future without a loved one. He's only in town to settle his late mother's estate and clean out the piles upon piles of junk she left behind. Meeting his former student at a bar is a bit of serendipity, and after his shock at Xander's blatant come on abates, Kent is only too happy to play the balm to Xander's bruised ego.
There was never supposed to be anything more than one wild night between them. But with Kent planning to stay in town for several more months, and the initial passion between them melting into a true, genuine affection, it's hard to stay away from one another.
There are only two problems: Kent doesn't plan to stay in town forever - and Xander's ex wants back into his life. Will Kent and Xander's fragile new love be worth the cost of fighting for it?
Carter’s Crossing is a quaint little town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where some people go to get away, others arrive to start over, and plenty just find themselves when they’re lost or broken hearted. This contemporary mpreg series is for adults only and is sure to leave you believing in the magic of true love, happily ever afters, and every book can be read in any order!
A good read but maybe my least favorite of the series. I did like it but I wanted them to be sure if each other not tread so lightly. Their uncertainty was underwhelming.
This was book 3 in "Carter's Crossing" series. When Xander Santos is left at the altar, he can't even drown his woes in alcohol. Newly single, newly pregnant, and facing down a future of single parenthood, he sneaks away from his friends and hits the bar anyway for a cup of juice. While at the bar he runs into his old teacher the one that he had the hots for in high school. Kent Coker is in town to settle his mothers estate. These two decide to spend some time together Xander is avoiding his issues of his ex running out of his wedding and Kent because he feels guilt because he left his mother and she became a hoarder. When his ex Alton comes back Xander lets him have it and I was glad he did. Kent has feelings for Xander but they each think that the other wants a fling. This book did have an error in it but nothing major. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Carter's Crossing series. In this book, Xander is about to married to Alton and start their life with their baby. While waiting at the church, Xander learns Alton left him without a word. Xander's brother Deacon broke the news to him and Xander decided he needed to get away and be alone. Kent is a teacher and returns to Carter's Crossing to take care of his family home after his mother died. Kent was a teacher in Carter's Crossing before he left and took a teaching position at a college and now he took a leave of absence and feels like he will be home for a few months. Kent went to the local bar for a drink and sees Xander there. They talk for a while and then go back to Kent's hotel room. Xander is using this time to forget the day and live out a fantasy he had about his former teacher. Kent and Xander have an amazing night, but as soon as they are done, Xander leaves. When they see each other again at the diner, they talk and agree to be friends. Xander offers to help Kent clean his mother's house and they grow closer, but can't fight their attraction anymore. They begin a fling and agree it will be for only until Kent leaves. They begin to really care for each other, but Kent is leaving and Alton comes back wanting to be with Xander again. I really love this book. i liked Xander from the previous books and thought he was funny and sweet. I was glad to see him finding love and felt Alton wasn't right for him. Kent was a good guy who needed to realize he deserved to have a life without being guilty. I think Kent loved Xander and wanted to be with him, only thought he didn't deserve to be loved himself. This is a great series. i can't wait to read the next book.
Xander Santos feels like he finally had it all. He met the alpha of his dreams, is getting married and has a baby on the way. But when Xander is left at the altar he finds him self alone and facing fatherhood alone. He can’t face anyone so he sneaks away to a bar. He can’t drown ha sorrows in alcohol but he sure can with juice. There he runs into the last person he expected to see...his former teacher that he had a huge crush on in high school.
Kent Coker finds himself back in Carter’s Crossing after the death of his mother. He’s there for several months to settle her estate and clean out the house to make it ready to sell. He never expected to hook up with a former student. But after getting over the initial sock of Xander’s flirtations, he’s more than happy to ease his pain with a one night stand.
What is supposed to be only one night turns into unexpected sparks turns into unexpected affection. They both know that Kent has to go back home but there is no denying their affection for one another. Xander’s ex comes back into town and wanting to pick up where they left off. Will Xander have the strength to follow his heart.
Xander’s story was such a touching one. We got a little peak into his past and what a tragedy that was. Kent was the balm that Xander needed to his soul. All it takes is finding the right person to make you finally believe that you’re worthy of love. I enjoyed this book so much and this series has quickly become a favorite.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This book was very disappointing .... I liked the first 2 books a !it but this one was just so annoying... I wanted more out of Xander as a character... He made such a fun secondary character but in this book he was just annoying .. Him and Kent ... I didn't feel no love between them just sex.. The back and forth and not communicating was stupid... We didn't even get the baby's name!!! I'm not reading the next book.. This one killed the series for me...
Third book in the series. I loved the romance and I recommend it.
When Kent and Xander meet again, they're both going through a rough time. Kent has just lost his mother, and Xander has been abandoned at the altar. After a night of passion, the two want more, but neither dares to admit it. Will they talk to each other before they lose the best that has happened to them in their lives?
I love Kent. He is a good man, a good teacher who always cares about his students, who wants the best for them. But he also feels guilty for abandoning his mother, for not being there for her when she needed him. His work is important to him, but he feels he failed the person who mattered most. I love that he cares that way, that he's such a good person, but he couldn't do anything for her. She would only have dragged him with her, he would have suffered more watching her sink.
His mother was the most important person in his life, until he met Xander again. He really cares about him, he loves him, but he can't have him, so it's better to let him go.
I also love Xander. He's always known what he wanted, love and a family. He thought he had it all with Alton, but he left him. He left them, him and his baby.
When he saw Kent after several years, he just wanted a one-night stand with him, to fulfill a fantasy to feel better, but things got complicated. He wants him in his life, but he can't tie Kent to him, not when he's expecting another man's child. He is noble, he does not want Kent to feel obligated to be with him. And I love that he faced Alton, that he tells him everything he feels.
They are both fools. Their relationship has changed, their feelings have changed, but they are unable to talk to each other and tell each other how they feel. If they had done it before, they would not have argued. But they also needed to be apart to clarify their feelings.
There's one detail I love. Kent thinks he's not ready to be a father. He doesn't think he doesn't want to have a relationship with a man with a son. He thinks that, if Xander is his partner, they both will have a child.
Another detail that I love, not only in this book, but in the others in the series, are the family relationships, the bonds that tie the characters, how they are not alone and have people who support them and take care of them.
I love Deacon. He doesn't want Kent to hurt Xander, but he also sees how good he is for his brother. And he doesn't want Xander to miss out on the chance to be happy, to have what he's always dreamed of. Kent is that man, the one who will give it all.
I loved seeing the protagonists of the other books.
And I loved the ending.

Is it rebound or is it a chance at happiness. These MC's meet on a night where both men have had emotionally devastating days and they find a connection that is really special. This story takes us on the journey of their finding themselves and recognizing a real chance at happiness. The story also touches on the topic of how responsible are we for another person's happiness, especially when there is mental illness. Both MC's are impacted by these concerns and i liked the approach of this author.
The writing was great and the story-line was poignant, heartfelt and uplifting. So many times we stop working for happiness and stop believing in ourselves and our dreams. Sometimes we have to believe in the good that we have in front of us and accept that we are worthy.
The supporting characters were awesome, i loved seeing former MC's Wes, Patrick, etc. supporting and helping these guys through their challenges. I especially like Xander's brother Deacon.
Xander and Kent explore friendship and their steamy connection as they journey through their own process of working out their losses. This is my favorite of the Carter Crossing Series so far and i am so looking forward to more stories in the future.
My favorite quote from the book: 'There isn’t just one chance at happiness. There are a million chances every single day. A million ways for us to find our own happiness, and perfection in the things around us.'
I really enjoyed xanders character in the last book so was excited to finally get his story in this boo and I enjoyed revisiting some of the other characters from the last book. Xander was suppose to be getting married to the alpha of his dreams but instead gets left at the altar pregnant and alone. He decided to. head to a bar and drink his troubles away even if it was a non alcoholic drink, he just needed to go somewhere to pretend for a little that this wasnt his life. little did he know that he would run into his hott old high school teacher and decide to go home with him. He may have used Kent to help him escape reality for a bit but then real feelings started to develop between the two and alton decides to make an appearance and come back into Sanders life and thats when things get complicated. I really enjoyed this story and watching the friendship and feelings that developed between the two main characters. Xander showed Kent what he was missing and Kent decided he didnt want to deny himself of happiness with someone as special as Xander no matter how complicated the situation may be but would zander feel the same or will he decide to go back to alton? I guess you'll just have to read it and find out! I couldn't put this one down and finished it in one day.

Xander was getting married he’s at the church dressed in a nice white tuxedo, Alton his alpha is the love of his life and the father to their unborn child he couldn’t wait to get married. The guys went into the room where Xander was and they looked serious Xander said come on guys what’s happened now it’s not as if Alton’s run off and the guys look at each other and Deacon stepped forward and said that they can’t find Alton and from there Xander felt like he was falling apart. Kent was back in town for his mother’s funeral it’s been years since he’s been home and he had forgotten how beautiful the place is, Kent was a teacher for a long time and now he is a professor in a small college. Once Kent had signed all of the paperwork for his mother’s estate he needed a drink so he went to the nearest pub. Xander was at the pub still in his tux wanting to break down and cry he wished that he could get drunk but he couldn’t because of the baby. Xander heard Kent’s name Mr Coker he was Xander’s teacher a long time ago, Xander waved him over and they talked and talked then Xander went back to Kent’s hotel and once they were finished Xander got up and got dressed then he left, and that’s all I’m going to give you guys but there is so much more to this story. It’s a fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Omega's Teacher by Aiden Bates. There are only two problems: Kent doesn't plan to stay in town forever - and Xander's ex wants back into his life. Will Kent and Xander's fragile new love be worth the cost of fighting for it? This was a very enjoyable read with great characters. Although I didn't like Alton. Loved the ending. 4*.
I enjoyed reading this extremely sweet & emotional MM romance. The characters have their own individual goals & needs. They react with realistic emotional feelings to the situation they find themselves in. The plot is well-written & interesting with some unexpected events. There is: a young pregnant omega male left at the altar (Xander), a despicable alpha ex-fiancé/boyfriend who wants him back (Alton), an alpha male teacher in town to settle his mother’s estate (Kent), drama, some twists & turns, friendship, memories, heartache, abandonment, emotional turmoil, attractions, sadness, determination, fantasies, a proposition, verbal banter, caring friends, concern, a unpleasant surprise, verbal conflict, threats, decisions, brotherly advice, realization, dreams, apologies, happiness, love, steamy scenes and a excellent, well-deserved epilogue. I really would recommend this MM romance to people who enjoy reading this genre.
The third book in the series and I'm thoroughly interested still! This book was hard to put down heck I read it in one sitting, I loved how hot things got. Cooled down and picked back up again, the characters kept the ball rolling with jokes and a few raw emotions.
Character breakdown;
Xander: From the way things went in the last book I knew what was going to happen to him. But I am happy that he ended up getting a better happy ending.
Kent: I didn't know what to think about him he was a wildcard at first but the way he dominated things was hot. I also loved how easily he was willingly to accept Xander with all of his baggage, and willing to change things for him.
Favorite quote: "It's like you told us all the time back in the day. He's a survivor, and he's gonna survive, no matter what happens.”
Book was lovely probably my favorite thus far, it will not disappoint and give you a little of everything.
I wasn't entirely sure about Xander to be honest, I found him a little arrogant and a tad too cocksure but as the story progressed he grew on me and what his fiancé did to him was absolutely unacceptable showing a complete lack of character and backbone so, in my opinion, Xander was much better off without him. I liked Kent, he was mature, knew what he wanted out of life and had pursued his goals but now that his mom is gone he is dealing with some, again in my opinion, misplaced guilt. When Xander and Kent meet again (Kent having been Xander's teacher years before) the sparks fly and Kent is the perfect distraction that Xander needs to get over the heartbreak and humiliation. I loved the progression of their relationship and whilst it was a tad angsty at times it was entertaining and heartwarming.

I have been waiting for Xander's book since I first read about him. He is such a crazy fun character and it was great to see him get his happily ever after. Only not the way you think from reading the first chapter. After a disaster of a wedding Xander meets Kent, his old high school teacher and it is sparks right away...And I mean right away. Kent is only in town to clean out his family home before going back to his life. But he is confused.....is that what he really wants. Xander deserves to be happy. To makes matters worse Xander has yet to deal with what had happened on his wedding day, but he knows he wants Kent. Confusing thoughts about being pregnant and meeting Kent on the rebound have made it hard to go after what he really wants for his life. It was such a good story as they work out their lives and their future. I love Xanders character.

Xander is a sweet yet bossy, super sassy omega. His day starts full of happiness but quickly turns to devastation, leaving him pregnant and alone. Kent has returned to his hometown to settle his mothers estate, and full of guilt for not being there for her. These two lost souls meet at a bar and an old attraction returns so they decide to spend the night soothing both their hurting hearts and this unexpected passion. After their night, they find themselves forming a true connection but their path to love and happiness is full of bumps and twists. This is an emotional and enjoyable story with likeable characters and an intriguing storyline. It has plenty of steamy sexy times, heartbreak, righteous anger, heartfelt moments, angst, a sweet love, and a wonderful HEA. I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.

Alpha Kent Coker is in town to settle his mothers estate and is overwhelmed by the memories it is throwing up so he goes to a bar for a drink. He hears someone call his name and looks up to see Xander Santos, a former student. The two get talking then leave together. A MM MPreg romance with a twist to relax and enjoy.

Xander is a wonderful, hot mess. Well, a bit self-centered and aggressive, but in a good way! Lol. He is so lucky to live out the fantasy of hooking up with a hot teacher. Kent, the hot teacher, has a lot of emotional baggage linked to the death of his mother and the loss of his family. I sighed over his guilt and wanted to hug him better.
Both MC'S are actually pretty level-headed and interesting. We catch them at a crossroads in life when they happen to stumble across each other. Xander's brother, Deacon is a gem. Oh gosh when he lets Xander have the last cookie, my heart just melted.
Xander and Kent are such a cute couple. And, well, they are trying this sober thing...guaranteed to make you smile.

This story really flowed well and I really enjoyed the relationship between Xander and his brother, Deacon.
Stood up at the altar, the pregnant omega, Xander, is ready to move on. When he sees his high school teacher at the bar, he can't help but suggest they get to know one another again.
Kent is in a weird place in his life. His mother has just died and he's back in town to deal with her house. When he sees Xander again, this time as a grown man, he can't help but want him. But this has to stay a fling...
As much as I truly enjoyed the romance, there was just so much back and forth between Xander and Kent, that it really detracted from the story. But, overall, this was highly entertaining.
Kent and Xander's story is full of hot chemistry, learning moments, drama and finally a happy ending. In this story Kent, a former teach of Xander's, meets Xander again in a bar, right after Xander is left at the alter. You are along for the ride as they have a one night stand that grows to many more days and nights together. You go through the emotions and drama of Xander dealing with being left pregnant at the alter by his former fiancé and you get to see him gaining the strength o give that former fiancé what for. This is a great story where you learn that people do deserve a second chance at happiness and that the past does not define the future. Well done Aiden Bates...well done!

I was excited to see Xander's story, I was definitely curious about him at the end of the last book. I've really enjoyed this series so far, and I think this was a great addition.
I really felt for Xander and everything he had to deal with and I think Kent comes along at just the right time for him. I also really liked the former teacher/student element, it was fun and hot! Granted, when these two meet, both of these men have experienced awful days, but that doesn't change the connection that they have. They definitely have great chemistry, but I really enjoyed their journey together, finding and understanding happiness. They definitely face challenges, but they find their way to face them together. Touching and heartfelt, I really enjoyed this book.
Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Xander thought he had it all until the day of his wedding to the soon be daddy alpha of his unborn baby, only things didn't work out that way. Left at the church with no groom in sight. Kent had to come to carter crossing to deal with the passing of his mother. A chance meeting at the little bar in town xander tells him how he fantasized about him when he was his teacher, that night the flames burns hot. Xander only hasn't dealt with his pain of being left. Until ex groom comes back? I loved this story only with the mini story of the town's naming,
Xander's love life hit the skids when Alton left him at the alter with so many questions left unanswered. Kent spotted Xander at the bar when he tried to escape ghosts from his past. Their one night of passion spiraled when they couldn't stay away from each other. Patrick and Wes were amazing and helped Xander when Alton showed up wreaking havoc again. Deacon was the voice of reason in Xander's life even when Xander interpreted his advice wrong, he was patient enough to walk him through his insanity. I loved when Xander stood up to Alton and told him what he really thought about him.

Omega's Teacher by Aiden Bates is the third book in The Carter's Crossing. This time we have the pregnant and jilted at alter omega, Xander, falling for teacher. Well his ex high school teach, Kent, who is back in town to settle his late mother's estate. The chemistry between them is scorching... and thier interactions are sweet and sexy. I loved their story.... and really enjoy this series. Oh, and that ex fiance is a tool.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
Xander is left pregnant at the alter. Kent home to settle his mother's estate and decide what to do with the house. Kent walks in the bar and see his former student from 10 years ago. Xander calls him over, tells him his woes and hits him up for a roll in the hsy. Join them as they work through their stuff. Where will the journey take them? Loved this story the characters were great and I could feel what they were feeling. You will enjoy.

I like Xander, Im happy he gets a HEA with a desent alpah. Xander is left pregnant at the alter by Alton. Xander drowns his sorrow in orangejuice at the bar when he meet Kent, his old school teacher. They have a night of passion, that turns in to a lot of nights. Xander isnt sure what he’s feeling after he was left at the altar. So he’s very on and of. Kent is totaly in love with Xander, but until Xander make up his mind theres nothing Kent can do. Sweet story with some angst and feelings all over the place.
Another instalment from Carters Crossing. Kent Coker is back in Carters Crossing to settle his mother’s estate. He used to teach at the high school where lots of students had a crush on him. Now he’s a college professor after taking night classes. Anton leaves a pregnant Xander at the alter so Xander goes to the nearest bar. Mr Coker the man of his teenage fantasies just happens to be there too. Xander is happy when Kent fulfills some of those fantasy’s.

This is an all around great read. Hot one-night passion between a teacher (Kent) and former student (Xander) becomes habitual when they can't stay away from each other. Of course, love isn't that easy. Kent is only in town to clean up his deceased mother's things, and then there is the ex who abandoned Xander and suddenly wants his omega back. The two have to decide to forge ahead together or let the possibility of love go. I loved Xander's brother, Deacon, too.

This is an amazing book in such a great series. There is so much heart in this book. It had me feeling so many emotions it wasn't funny. These two characters where so well suited for each other it was coming off the pages in waves. I am an absolute fan of this author and genre, everytime I see this author has a new book I get excited. Especially when it is such a awesome series. I absolutely recommend this book it is a great read as is the others in the series.
