Every kid in the world has had a Bad Luck Day, but Daisy Dreamer’s might be the unluckiest Bad Luck Day ever in this eleventh chapter book in the series.
It started with a broken mirror. Daisy Dreamer should have been more careful, but accidents happen. But one broken mirror leads to an outrageous day for Daisy and her imaginary friend, Posey. Now there’s a black cat following them everywhere, ladders to walk under around every corner, and a mischievous mirror version of Posey named Yesop has appeared, and he thinks bad luck is the best thing in the world! It’s up to Daisy and her dreamy outlook to save everyone from the Bad Luck Day.
With easy-to-read language and illustrations on almost every page, the Daisy Dreamer chapter books are perfect for emerging readers.
We're sad to see this series end! This book is about a bad luck day where everything is the opposite of normal. Posey has a bad luck twin named Yesop and she gets stuck with Yesop in the land of bad luck. It was like a normal world, just lots of bad luck and superstitions. This was a good conversation about luck vs perspective and overall it was just a great quick read!
Daisy discovers the imaginary world of bad luck when she spots some bad luck omens. While there, she finds a lucky penny, and things turn around.
I liked the message that sometimes beautiful things come from bad luck, but I wish that there was also the message that "luck" or "omens" don't have such power over our days.
Terrible emphasis on superstition. But I do like the message of having a good attitude even when things go wrong, and I like the school's art gallery program.
