an old anthropology book I ran across in the "Christmas every day retirement hoarde" has things to tell us about loving our community, our neighbors, people who aren't neighbors yet ... oldie, but goodie despite some of the "language of the time"

Even if you dont sail this book is a good read. Uplifting story of a mans dream and his adventures overcoming adversity,the many problems with the boat and crew and the rescue of the luckiest man drift in the ocean.

Even if you don't sail this book is a must read, very inspirational and down to earth without being too sentimental.
