'Exploring the Levels of Creation' answers many questions. Browne shares her psychic gifts and years of research in order to enlighten us and give us more insights into God and the realities of life.
Sylvia Browne was an American author and self-proclaimed psychic who built a lucrative career through books, television appearances, and psychic readings. Known for her frequent guest spots on The Montel Williams Show and Larry King Live, she claimed to communicate with angels, spirit guides, and the deceased, and said she had psychic visions from the age of three. In 1986, she founded the Society of Novus Spiritus, a Gnostic Christian church, and ran a variety of businesses, reportedly earning millions annually. Browne wrote over 40 books, many of which were bestsellers, and maintained a dedicated fanbase throughout her life. However, her career was marked by controversy. She made numerous high-profile predictions about missing persons and criminal cases that were later proven false—errors that drew widespread criticism and scrutiny from skeptics and media outlets. A 2010 study by the Skeptical Inquirer concluded she had not been accurate in any verifiable case. Her reputation suffered further after her 1992 conviction for securities fraud. Despite criticism from figures like James Randi and John Oliver, Browne retained a devoted following. Her vague prediction about a “pneumonia-like illness” spreading around 2020 drew renewed attention during the COVID-19 pandemic. She remained a polarizing figure—revered by some, discredited by others—until her death in 2013 at the age of 77.
I loved this book, and found it very enlightening and informative. In the past I have had trouble in accepting what Sylvia and her spirit guide, Francine, had to say but in reading this book I have come to see things the way Sylvia describes. A lot of what she puts forth makes sense. Of course it helps when you're in the right place mentally and spiritually (speaking for myself because I'm really starting to blossom spiritually).
This is an excellent book if you're curious or looking for answers. Give it a go!
There are a lot of interesting ideas in this book. Basically, Sylvia believed there are seven levels of life on earth, as well as on the other side after we leave earth. She believed in reincarnation and that past lives could impact our current lives. At the start of this book she also explains that she believes in fairies, gnomes, devas, and other such creatures. I think I read some of her books years ago, and I do remember seeing her on talk shows when my daughters were young and talk shows were popular.
I just googled her and learned that she wrote more than forty books, and that twenty-two became New York Times bestsellers. She was a psychic, medium, writer and founded a hypnosis center. She had followers who believed and critcs who did not. There were specific examples of her wrong predictions for missing people. Ironically, Sylvia predicted that she would die at 88, but died eleven years before that from heart failure.
I do like to believe that something happens to us after our life here, but I am not sure what I believe yet. Sylvia writes with confidence and mentions her spiritual guide, Francine, often in this book. I will continue to think about her ideas and how she mentions we have the free will to evolve and grow, as well as the power to control our thoughts.
If I could give this book a star everytime the writer mentions what a living Hell our Earth is! I would bring half the Heaven down! All jokes aside, I really appreciate the fact that all the "wonderful world" part was skipped, and life was addressed as it is (though somewhat depressing). I liked the exploration of the lower worlds, and even more what lies beyond. Still the book sounded a little bit outdated and gave a too easy-pleasing description of the afterlife. What I personally don't agree with, is the statement (quite frequently repeated) that if our natal chart points something will happen - it will, if it doesn't - it won't. Like we don't have any free will or actual control over the events and choices. Which, of course, would make the whole torture redundant. :)
I liked the concept for this book about all the levels of creation of the earth and how it explored the afterlife and the other side. However, a lot of the information mentioned in this novel repeats from Sylvia's previous books... Which I kinda understand considering she has countless amounts of books there is bound to be some repeat information. I have been making a point to get through all of her many books. However, there really wasn't much new to offer with this book that I had not already heard. While I was still entertained I wanted something a little more and some new information that I hadn't already known. I still love Sylvia's humor regardless and she is still one of my favorite psychics. I liked how Sylvia expanded on why humans are in existence in the first place.
Sylvia Browne is a great writer. In her book Exploring the Levels of Creation Sylvia nails some major points of controversy reguarding Biblical myths. I enjoyed reading how she explained the different Levels of Creation step by step vividly allowing her readers follow her into her views of the after life. If you are interested in finding out what happens after life is over then you will enjoy this book, I did. Sylvia uses the levels of life on Earth from Birth to Old Age and from there the transition to what she calls the "Other Side". She explains Dogma and Religion vs. Spirituality and also the 3 types of entities, white, gray and dark.
Brown breaks down the various levels creation for us simply. She escorts us through the seven levels of life on Earth from birth to old age. Brown then introduces us to the seven levels that make up the "Other Side" from the "Transitional State" to returning "Back to the Godhead."
Sylvia Brown's writing is smart, smooth and concise. "Exploring the Levels of Creation" reads as if you are in a delightful and invigorating conversation with the author.
I appreciate the different perspective of our purpose in life and where we go after. Though some of it I found far fetched, the rest I found to be written from a place of love. She allows her reader to take what they like and ignore what they don't which allows , in my opinion, to read it easier. Easier for the fact you're reading for knowledge that fits well with you and learning about what doesn't.
I actually liked most of her point of view on things. Very interesting read.
I read this book shortly after my baby sister passed away. It not only made me feel closer to her, but helped me to come to terms with some things and that helped me to help her 2 young sons (17 and 19),our siblings and dad.
I started this book two years ago after someone gave it to me to read. I put it down halfway through and started it again last week. Finished it but did not buy into it.
I just couldn't get into this. I've read a lot of Sylvia's books and, as I revisit her work, I'm finding the majority of her writing no longer rings true with me.
Go off Queen💁🏻♀️ There is a lot of enlightening, beautiful, informative, thoughtful, and great information in here. With that said, I also loved chapter 19 when she goes off on dogma and religion; it resonates a lot with today and is a very intelligent, well-thought-out, and powerful stand against corruption and harmful religion practices. A fun, educational, and entertaining short read.
Fairies, gnomes, goblins...Sylvia tells us they all exist! I used to think this "psychic" was bat-shit crazy, but after checking out her website and TV appearences, I realized she was a shrewd huckster out to sell "enlightenment" (at $750 for a 20 minute phone "reading") to an audience that spanned the gamut from naive to gullible to...well, bat-shit crazy. Unlike the writings of some wackos, this lady even fails on the level of cynical entertainment. If you catch someone reading a Sylvia Browne book, gather their friends and family and stage an immediate intervention! Never trust anyone who offers you enlightenment for a cash fee...
This was not my favorite of Sylvia Browne's books that I have read so far, but it was still good. She gives explanations of why we are here, where did we come from, and where are we going that are just as good in fact much more spiritually cohesive than other religions or spiritual advisors. If you are questioning the world and wondering what's up this is one explanation that is worth considering.
My favorite Sylvia Browne book. Helped to not fear death and have a better understanding of the other side. Not sure what you may/may not believe but like she says in the book you take what you want from it and leave the rest behind.
There just isn't much substance to Sylvia Browne's books. I'd say 75% of the material is just filler. That said, I did learn something from the other 25%. It's just irksome to have to wade through so much fluff to get to substance.
An incredible book. Started reading it out of curiousity, couldn't put it down.Made me feel completely comfortable with death and made me look at my life totally different.
