enjoyed this book a bit more than the "Classic American Cars" by the same author. heavy on British Cars, which is cool if you like British Cars, which i am not particularly dispositioned to. i learned a lot about cars i had never even heard of before (Audi Quattro Sport, BMW M1, Citroen SM, Datsun 240Z, De Tomaso Pantera GT5, Facel Vega II, Ferrari Dino, Jensen Interceptor, Mazda RX7, Mercedes 280SL, Saab 99 Turbo et cetera...). The perennial classics & ubiquitous 80's Euro sportscars are also here. not comprehensive but a decent survey w/ great photographs and informative background information & historical anecdotes.

i learned a lot. didn't know much before & i was never really a car person to begin with. "The Ultimate Classic Car Book" is a good reference book & a good novice/starting-point for someone wanting to learn more about Classic Cars. it is a good Classic Car lexicon builder not weighted down w/a bunch of engineering car jargon. decent book for design freaks too becuz there are some beautifully designed cars featured. now i kinda see why the Classic Car phenomenon is such a big market. & i think this book & "Classic American Cars" has definitely piqued my interest in a good way. i hope to own a Classic Car of my own someday...

This was an amazing book. I really liked reading about the cars and learning new things about them. My favorite car was the mercedes benz gullwing 300 sl. I really liked the shape of and the power. I would highly recommend this book to people that like cars.

The book gives you a very detailed description of each car and sometimes gives you a background story to the antique cars. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in cars and wants to know about older versions.

A bit biased towards English cars, as well as considering all the cars included from an English point of view.
