Best book ever. If you are a big Disney fan like me, you must read it. You should also read it if you are going to Disneyland. It gies you clues to find hidden mickeys all around the park. It also gives you scavenger hunts. For those of you who dont know what a hidden mickey is it is a mickey mouse that is specificaly placed by Disney Imagineers. You can find hidden mickeys everywhere like on rides, in the waiting lines, and many other places.

Our on our last trip to Disneyland, we spotted a 'hidden mickey' on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Upon our return, a friend asked me if we had found any Hidden Mickeys and I proudly claimed that we had found one! So he brought me this book, which humbled me. There are over 170 Hidden Mickeys in Disneyland!!! So I need to get my own copy of this book before our next trip.

This isn't a book that you can sit down and read; it must be part of your experience. So if I was rating this book on readability alone, I would rate it probably 2-3 stars.
I haven't been to Disneyland in probably 30 years and I probably won't ever go back, but if I do, I'm definitely taking this book.
Until recently I didn't know what Hidden Mickeys were, but this book talks in detail about where to find them and includes a bunch of scavenger hunts and lots of hints, complete with a scoring system.
Just sitting down to read this book was boring, since obviously I couldn't participate in any of the searches, so I merely scanned it. However, it's an excellent book to bring on a trip to Disneyland if you want something fun and different to do, especially if, like myself, you've been to Disneyland more than once. BTW there's a thicker, almost identical book for Disney World as well.

I recently acquired a first edition of this guide, published in 2007. Barrett does a very nice job of explaining his strategy, describing the various kinds of HMs, and clearly detailing where to look for the little rascals.
Of course, there have been many changes in the last 18 years. New additions to this park continue, and I suspect some of the targets described here are no longer there. I am guessing hat there are more recent editions of this guide.

Unfortunately, I live about 12 miles from Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I suspect that there are versions of the book for use in my neighborhood park and at other parks around the world. Heck, I won't be surprised that there Hidden Mickeys at the Universal resorts, too.

It is a fun scavenger hunt game and index to find hidden Mickeys and even compete with each other. Not what I wanted, though, which was info and pictures on Hidden Mickeys. Will definitely be using the author's website on my next Disney trip!

The version of this book that I read was published in 2009 and I think that we all can agree that Disneyland and California Adventure have changed a lot in the 13 years since this book’s publishing. So sadly not all of these Hidden Mickeys are in the parks anymore. I am a Hidden Mickey fan myself and I try to find as many hidden mickeys as I can whenever I go to the parks. This book was EXTREMELY nostalgic for me and as I read through the clues, I remembered many trips taken with my friends and family where we were searching for the Main Mouse across the parks.

Points out many hidden Mickeys I never would have spotted, but some of them aren't "hidden" at all. Also, the set up of the book makes it hard to thumb through and find Mickeys in all the attractions near you. Instead, you constantly have to keep flipping to the index in the back.

If I get the chance to go to Disneyland again, I would get a hold of this book! I have been to Disneyland many times when I was younger, and I never knew there were Hidden Mickeys! I want to find them! This would be the book to have with you there!

More cool Disney stuff. Probably the only book documenting SOME of the parks "hidden mickeys." Add some adventure to your Disneyland trip.

Not very readable - it's simply a detailed listing of all the Hidden Mickeys @ DLR. Fun but more for trip reference than anything else.

It's really cool to read this and see how many "hidden Mickeys" there are all around the park. One day I want to just do the scavenger hunt in the order of the book and find them all.
