Indigo Knights #6

A Code Blue Call

Rate this book
It was a dark night of the soul for Angel, the night she appeared like his namesake. He would have liked to have known her, but she was gone the next morning. Now, more than a year later, he was doing much better, continuing his work in Indigo City’s streets as a paramedic, responding to medical emergencies.
Claire could never forget the medic whose life she saved just by being in the right place at the right time. Still, it wasn’t enough to rescue her from her own dark night of the soul and unlike him, she followed through.
Fate had other ideas for the both of them and for whatever reason, their paths crossed again at exactly the right moment. Both of them were now determined to not let this second chance pass them by, not like the first…

This novel is an interesting read, this is a new author to me, so I wasn’t sure what to really expect, but the quality of the writing is very good. The plot seems to be very well thought out and designed so it’s easy to follow along and never gets boring, holding my attention throughout the book. By making it so the characters have some flaws and emotional distress the author makes so that they are easier to relate to and more believable. The dialogue between the characters, both main and sub characters is interesting and believable. It’s a stand alone novel and has a HEA, but the main characters have to work hard to get to that ending. A great read.

Angel and Claire’s Book was a story that I identified with whole heartedly, workings in any public service field is extremely stressful. And feeling like you no longer Exist or matter to anybody it’s just as bad. But they found a way to heal themselves and each other. And made a beautiful life together.
I love this story ladies, don’t miss this book or the entire series if you haven’t already read it. It has everything you would want in it.

Amazing

Angel and Claire's story drew me in from the very beginning and I didn't want it to end. I was on an emotional roller coaster ride from beginning to end. Throughout Angel and Claire's story I found that I could relate to the things they were going through as at some point. There's so much I want to say about this book, but I don't want to give anything away. Thank you A.J. for touching on such a tough topic and showing the many sides of it.

Sure the sex is hot, and the romance intense, but it’s the real, life changing, situations, the hard, heart breaking emotions, the guts and glory of fighting darkness in all it’s forms both in mind and body that brings tears to a readers eyes and makes these characters live on in memory long after the book is closed. Angel is a true Angel, in everything he is it’s a pure fervent light that only strong faith can bring out, and he became Claire‘s light. Loved it.

What an amazing book. I have dealt with depression before, and this author does it the justice it deserves. Some people deal with it easily and others struggle. And sometimes you can do both. What a beautiful story about two people who have been in the depths of depression and found each other at the exact right time. I highly recommend this book.

Very deep and emotional

Great love story. Love the characters and great description of the silk dancing. Thought I was there watching. Must have been very hard to describe but the author nailed it. The storyline is deep with real issues of today and it’s no hold barred for the feelings that come with it. Fabulous storytelling and a great great read!!

It isn't very often that I get totally lost in a book. But this book had me wondering if I would ever crawl out from under all of the emotions that crashed into my brain. I finally get what people means when the say "all the feel". Thank you for Angel and Claire are both lost. You read right, both the hero and heroine are in danger of loosing themselves. This just gutted me. Where was the support? Where was the love?

Tit for Tat. I save you. You save me. How could they not fall in love? How could I not fall in love with these amazing people? How could I not want to pound some sense into Carter, Claire's brother? I kept hoping that Angel would pop him one.

Angel's life is stressful as a medic in Indigo City. Claire is a performer trying to make it even when she hits wall after wall. And when she needs her brother most he fails her. She had nothing and then she had everything. When she found happiness it did my heart good. When Angel found his happiness he knew that he would stop at nothing to connect. I was right there hoping he would jump through all the right hoops and give us all the HEA I needed.
