Sam misinterprets my accidentally checking out her body, and teases me, “Don’t judge my sweat! Just shows I worked for it.”
“This face?” I circle my index finger. “Admiration. How’d you do?”
“Good.”

This is Cocky Best Friend, one of the Cocky Series written by Faleena Hopkins. Welcome into the inner realm of the amazing Cocker family! This series is such a great read. All of the brothers, their kids, their cousins and sometimes even a family friend get their own book. You won’t be able to resist wanting to be one of family! You will be yelling at Samantha and Logan as they navigate life and their “best friend” status. Welcome home!

It’s so great to have a new book from Faleena. This book doesn’t disappoint.
It is so emotionally charged and frustrating at times, especially with Samantha not realising she loved Logan.
The friendship between them both was beautiful and it’s very easy to see how Sam didn’t realise her feelings as they were blurred with being best friends. After reading it it’s clear to see that her feelings were there all the time she just needed some time apart. Jason tells Logan than Sam needs to sow her wild oats because she is a Cocker, but I think it was Logan who needed to sow his, he needed to be away from Sam and be his own self and live for him and by doing that Sam could see him for what he was.
The huge timeframe was a very interesting take and it was great to see how other books written fitted into certain timeframes. It’s also left a lot of scope for other characters stories to be added to the time in between. I loved the naming of the babies Isabella and Logan, it was beautiful and touching.
Asher wasn’t my favourite person from the start but I never saw him being gay! I think my jaw hit the floor along with Samantha’s. I loved the closeness of the cousins and siblings all leaning on each other for support and laughing with each other.
Fantastic book and I can’t wait to read more of the family.

MELT YOUR HEART ENTERTAINING READ
This best friend to lovers story had me welling up with tears, smiling and cheering too. A fabulous read that shows how best friend love blossoms into soulmate love. Loved the vivid scene descriptions, witty dialogue/humor, steamy passionate scenes, and the picture-perfect ending.
Sam and Logan have been friends and dancing together since early childhood. As best friends they keep each other's secrets, discuss problems, are supportive of each other and have had my fun times together. Sam is intelligent, a beauty, and kind-hearted. Logan has developed into a great looking and considerate guy. There was a time when Logan looked at Sam and just saw just a friend, but now his feelings run deeper. They face many hurdles until they reach their fated happy ever after.

I am a huge fan of Faleena’s work and for a very good reason. Her books are phenomenal!! When a new one comes out I devour it like a starving person.
I am engrossed by every chapter, every page, every sentence and every word!!
I’ve read every one of the Cocky Series books and I’ll read every one to the end
(so hoping they never end!).
I got to be honest (I promised I would be for an Advanced Reader Copy) the first few pages of Cocky Best Friend didn’t grab me like all of Faleena’s other books. I can’t explain what exactly but this one was different from all the others.
But I kept reading (duh, it’s a Faleena Hopkins’s book) and there it was, that spark, that joy I feel when reading a Faleena original!! Her specific style, wording, heat and true passion for life.
Thank you so much Faleena for writing this fabulous book and so many others that will always have a place in my heart!

When you are dating a Cocker and get an invite the the famous family BBQ you know your in for life but what happens when you already are a welcomed guest! This story of Samantha Cocker is such a lovely "friends to lovers" plot. It's such a great read that makes you feel so much for Logan as well as Sam. The emotional pull between them both is so obvious to everyone but Samantha.
Everyone is searching for true love but what happens when you don't recognise it even when it's already in your life!
I really loved the writing of this book and the way it hinted at future characters stories were great little insights. Cannot wait for the next one.
As with the whole series they are all standalone with a HEA but I do recommend you start at the very beginning and go on the full crazy cocky ride.

I loved Samantha and Logan's story!!! I loved Logan so much, he was sweet, always there even when it hurt him and completely loyal to Sam. I felt so bad when he finally told her he loved her and she didn't return his feelings. I wanted to be mad at her but she was too lovable and sweet herself. She had no idea Asher wasn't what he seemed, and by the time she found out things had already gotten awkward between her and her best friend. I hated that it took them so long to find their way back to each other, but thank goodness they finally made it. And, of course, throughout the book there are teasers about the other characters that will eventually get their own stories, so.....now I wait AGAIN!!

The best one yet. This is amazing. This is an incredible love story. Of course all of the Cocker family stories are amazing but each of their stories are full of unforgettable moments and memories. There are many memories that I am sure the family would rather forget never happened but that is what makes this book and this series amazing. Each member of the family is as unique as their book. I never give spoilers I feel it ruins the book for the next person. This book put me through every emotion I wanted to get on a plane and tell Logan to go home and tell that silly Samantha that she needed to open her eyes. If you are looking for a good book and series start this one and you won’t regret it I promise

Now alternate endings?! I really liked the one in the book, but I could have seen the alternate one too, Sam is a Cocker and all :)

First of all I love this series and every book that comes out feels like you are being invited back into the Cocker family, at least the BBQs. I loved the path this book took, so different than the other yet the same great family. Cocker Best Friend tugs at the heart strings, but then again you want to shake Samantha and tell her to get with it. Falling in love should be so effortless but not is you are Samantha Cocker. Logan has been her best friend forever but unknown to her he is in love with her, but she can not see "being in love" with him without ruining their friendship. This book follows their paths through 2 years of phone calls and keeping in touch but what happens when the other person moves on ? What a great book of love finding its way in its own time. Wonderfull HEA.

Sam and Logan's story had me screaming open your eyes and see whats infront of you Woman!! Everyone knew how Logan felt except Sam and its true what they say you don't miss what you've got until its gone, as Sam found out, she tried to move on but just couldn't break the connection to her lifetime best friend, it wasn't fair but she couldn't help it, thankfully she realised before it was too late or at least she hoped so!!!!
Logan had Loved her all his life but had to come to terms with the fact that she didn't love him the same way, so he had to set her and himself free and hoped it wouldn't be the end of him!!

I’ve been waiting patiently for a new book by Faleena, and it was SO worth the wait.
This is a best friend to lover story. Logan is Samantha's best friend, and he is always there for her even though it hurts because she doesn't feel the way he does. He has to take a step back and let her live her life, hoping that she will one day return his feelings. faleena writes so well that you can just feel the chemistry between them when they get together. I love that we get little drops of the other Cocker’s in her book. And I can't wait until her next one.

Another cocker story that I've actually read twice over the last couple of days because the first time I was so desperate to get to the last page!! Faleena writes an excellent story that you cannot stop reading until the end. This one had me gripped and it was so different in so many ways. I wasn't even sure that Samantha and Logan were ever going to get their happy ever after! I recommend this series to anyone who loves a true romantic story. Faleena is the best!!!

Sadly the worst so far
I’m disappointed to report that the characters are woefully underdeveloped. The story isn’t thought through and you’ll get to the end wondering what just happened and how these characters further the story of the universe Faleena is weaving. I really liked it until the crescendo - it completely fell apart from there. No idea why the female made her decisions, even less clue why the male made any of his until the end and you don’t see any of the revelations a friends-to-lovers needs.

Sweet and Heartbreaking
This book was my favorite so far! Sam and her best childhood friend Logan have danced together since they were children. Now feelings are changing in good and heartbreaking ways. Sam’s whole Cocker family gets involved at different times, which makes this a very sweet story! I love this family!! Love how they stick together!! Love how they love Logan for Sam, even if she doesn’t realize it at first! Just read it! You will understand! I didn’t want it to end!

Samantha and Logan have been best friends since they were very young, but along the way Logan’s feelings changed. I was very unsure about Sam in this book. She was so oblivious! She was just so unaware of how much Logan was hurting. At least 80% of this book they were only friends although Logan had confessed his feelings, and wanted more. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I will just say this was a good read for me.

It's been a bit since we had a new Cocker Cousin Book and it was worth the wait. This one is written a bit differently than the rest (starting with the cover), but as you read the story, you understand why Sam and Logan needed to stand out from the others. This is not only Samantha's story, but Logan's as well. A sweet friends to lovers romance. You will hang on through their ups and downs waiting for their HEA!! As a bonus, you get glimpses into the future of both Lexi and Zoe.

I have fallen in love with this family all over again. Samantha Cocker and Logan Grant are best friends and have been for basically their whole lives. Samantha was one story I was waiting for - her innocence and (well veiled) vulnerability in the other novels made me want to know more.
And Logan... oh Logan! I am totally in love with Logan and the end is... fire! So much love and hope!
Thank you Faleena once again for an amazing story. I couldn't put it down!

Another fantastic book by this author. The ability to give an interesting look and entertaining story for each character appeals to her strength as a writer. Logan was so patient with Sam while he waited to see if she would grow to love him, and Sam just took a few years to figure out her best friend. Hunter so intrigued me in this story so I eagerly anticipate his book, and am very interested to see where Ryder goes as a side character.

I totally loved the energy in this story. It was fresh and full of life! I've been reading this series since its inception and have enjoyed the Cocker family. The travels that bring Sam and Logan to love and maturity is heartbreaking and heartwarming. The story is quite a rollercoaster ride! I loved the interaction and the merging of the Cocker family into this story. The supporting characters are so much fun! 📖❤

What a book!!! I loved this book. It was such a quick read for me because I couldn’t put it down!! Samantha and Logan are unlike most of the other Cockers and their significant others. Logan and Samantha are amazing as best friends. But when feelings cross the line, how do they handle it? I was rooting so hard for them, but it took so, so long for them to get their heads straight! I thought I'd go mad! I loved Logan's character - he was so different from the cocky men in this series. Sam was torn and confused, and a few times I really wanted to reach out and give her a wake up smack! This was a truly angsty and sweet friends to lovers story!

But turning her back on the offer saw her lifelong best friend head off to follow his dreams that takes him interstate & abroad.
Separate by distance but not by heart. Can their friendship actually be more?

This is Samantha and Logan’s book in the continuing Cocker family series. It’s a phenomenal best friends to more story that will tear at your heartstrings! This book is somewhat different from the others in the series. It has a theatrical twist that only Faleena Hopkins can add. Definitely worth waiting for this book and can’t wait to see who’s next in the Cocker cousins!

I absolutely love the Cocker family. I'm really digging the way you're weaving their stories together the same way we know their lives are. I will say it's a little scary how old grams is getting. I hate the idea of her not being around forever.

Haven't read a great best friend friend story in sooo long
Faleena you did it again. This was such an amazing read, Sam abd Logan are your two peas in a pod but the journeys they go through, I kept screaming at the book when the high and lows happened. Even ugly cried a few times. Thank you Faleena for a great start to 2019 😍💙💙

Awesome read!!
I have been anticipating the next book in this series. Sam and Logan's story was a sweet love story, I love the way Faleena incorporates the whole Cocker family in each book. The Cockers are all about family and it is great to see that love shine and the support they have for each other. I am looking forward to the next installment in this wonderful series.

This was a fun second chance cousins book. I love the diversity of jobs faleena comes up with for everyone. She fully commits to it and runs with it so you feel like you are a part of their world. With the hints of what is coming up in this series this story was a great start on her getting back to this series.

I don’t know how she does it but Faleena can reel you so deep you can’t put the book down! Such detail, so many family members to keep straight...it’s actually quite amazing. This was a beautiful story that kept you rooting for the HEA that took most of the book to get to. Also makes you want/need the next cousins book right now!

Just wow
I don't remember Logan in the past stories but I really like his character. The author has really did a great job intertwining each family member and friends in each book as she introducing their lives outside as well as inside the circle. Can't wait for the next one who every it maybe!
