The complete series, from first love to final reveals… Secrets, lies, and lust collide in The Ex Games as a billionaire and the woman he’s not willing to let go have to figure out just how willing they are to play.
She started it.
Just one little secret was all it took to shatter my trust, to destroy our relationship. I thought Katie Raymond was the one. All of my money couldn’t have bought a better future than one that had her beautiful face in it.
That was then. Now, the secret is mine. And once she realizes I’m the new owner of her company, the ball will be in my court.
But it isn’t my only secret.
This time, I’m the one who’s been lying.
He finished me.
Handsome and charming, Brandon Hastings was my first romance, my first love. With his body, he taught me things I never knew I needed. I never wanted to stop exploring each other.
Seven years later, I’m going to see him again. And this time, he’s my boss.
I won’t let Brandon break me again.
I only wish my body would stop betraying me every time he walks into a room.
Seven years ago, I made the biggest mistake of my life by not opening up to the man I loved. It cost me everything.
Spoiler alert (I'm posting my review from my phone so I can't hide it):
When Edward...wait, I mean Christian, no wait...what was his name again...Brandon. When Brandon took Katie to that bar, blind folding her and giving her earmuffs, like something special was about to happen and then f**king her in the way he did---that was seriously effed up. No redemption for Brandon after that. I mean, Christian is effed in the head but would he ever do something so belittling to the woman he loved?? No. It seriously bothered me.
Other than that the story was decent. Actually, I enjoyed it for the most part. Some of the dialogue was boring but the story was fairly okay.
I'm reading Rhett next. And if it's not any better than, unfortunately, it will be the last book I'm reading my JS Cooper.
I can't believe I read this entire story and I kept hoping it would change and be worthy of the plot it should have been. Never have I disliked the lead female in a story as much as I did Katie. She deserved all the hurt she went through and more for ever giving up her baby and never telling Brandon. And how he could take her back, chase her, etc. after that is beyond sickening. She never learned from her mistakes but she did love the sexy times. Once she found out he had a son, why didn't she feel excruciating sadness for what could have been, for what she gave up? Because she was to narcissistic cow. I would not recommend this series to anyone. I only gave it 2 stars because I usually love your books. I now am going to read the series on Meg and hope to hell it is better than this one. However, really how can it get worse? At least Meg seemed to be smarter and have some morals. She gave Katie good advice, told her to tell Brandon, was a good friend (too forgiving ) "It's not your fault". IT WAS HER FAULT!!!!! I also but the Ex Games novel to be read after both series. Maybe it will make me feel better about Katie (very doubtful).
This couple is a total train wreck. All the game playing is ridiculous The Hero is a complete asshole. The heroine is a total doormat/idiot. I hung on til the very end, but am so glad I can move on now.

Like all serial books this starts well although I admit I found the writing style a bit jumpy at first, I spent most of the second book annoyed at Katie for having no backbone, I get that she still loves Brandon but seriously come on, time and time again he plays her and she takes it I was ready to give up after this one I'd no intention of reading the last one and then it goes and ends like that and now I have to read it, I have to find out what happens, although I suspect I know but I need to know if I'm right. Yes I was right, I was kinda hoping I was wrong and there'd be a twist thrown in but anyway. If I was to describe this collection up in a few words I'd have to say it was a jumbled mess of lies and assumptions. Where do I start.. so many things were thrown into this book it had a real chaotic feel to it.
My main problems were firstly Brandon's age, I constantly had to remind myself that he wasn't a eighteen year old boy and that he was actually a forty-two year old man..seriously forty-two talk about immature. The engagement, on what level did that ever make sense to anyone. The big surprise was only a surprise to someone who hadn't read the second book. Seven years...I mean seriously seven years. I just can't get my head round this book, it's just...you can't just throw loads of stuff in there and hope some of it sticks or makes sense and I'm seriously concerned about 'One Night Stand' what am I talking about? I read and loved 'One Night' and I just couldn't wait until January 5th for the full book 'One Night Stand' so I started looking into this author's other books, I tried 'Private Club' but that was, in my opinion trying to do too much, so much was thrown into a short book and I couldn't get along with Meg, it just didn't work but I'm starting to see a trend here and I'm suspecting that 'Stand' will be like this book. I haven't read enough of this author's books to know if she only has 'one story' but it seems to me, with the exception of 'Private' of course, the first book is good and pulls the reader in with the promise of a great read but in order to deliver on the promises loads of stuff is thrown in there to make it interesting and complex! Maybe I'm being unfair, time will tell.
Mind blown! I don't know how J.S. Cooper keeps her stories straight with so many twists and turns. I find myself dizzy once again. Head-spinning deliciousness! Moving on to The Private Club for Katie's bestie's story. I have the feeling Brandon will be trying to control the outcome of her interview at The Club. BAD Brandon! LOL!
Fast read. Didn't like the h. She was a flake. Big reveal at end was predicted the moment the other character introduced. Read like 3 novellas instead of smooth novel. Pricey for such a short read.
This book was awful. Both of the main characters are awful, selfish psychopaths. I hated both of them. Poor characterization from start to finish and ridiculous plot twists made this a really rough read. I think I paid .99 cents for this and it wasn’t worth it.
If I could give negative stars I would. Katie and Brandon have such a toxic relationship! Katie needs to grow up and find her backbone. Brandon needs some serious therapy. This is not romance. This is insanity and abuse.
I absolutely loved this box set. You get carried away with the characters and you join in with their turbulent lives, hoping that the rollercoaster will eventually let them get off. It also gives you a glimpse of the lives of the secondary characters and you know you can read their story in subsequent books.
Katie Reymond and Brandon Hastings meet when Katie is hanging on to a wall after a night of drinking. He feels something for the vulnerable woman standing in the cold, not wearing a lot, and offers to take her home. He's handsome, hot and muscled up nicely, so she let's him.
But in the brief interaction between the two, Katie speaks a lie. She wants to tell him, but knows that everything will change, when and if she does. They have an amazing relationship. They love hard and play even harder.
But like all good things, they must come to an end, but Katie didn't realise just how badly those good things would actually end.
She told him that she was 22 and working. She was caught in her lie when Brandon attended her college as a guest lecturer and discovered an 18 year old Katie sitting in the audience. His leaving her was cruel and brutal.
But seven years have passed and the company she works for has been taken over by none other than, yep, Brandon Hastings.
Can theh rekindle their love. Will Brandon give Katie another chance to prove that she never stopped loving him, or will the sins of the past come back to crush Katie into the ground again?
Brandon and Katie, how they meet had red flags all over the place but being young and away from home makes a girl crazy silly and sometimes stupid things. For Katie , she was lucky and found an alpha male that was possessive and loving at the same time. She has been keeping a big secret from him that could break a relationship forever.
Of course Brandon finds out her secret and then we find that these two have been playing games with one another for a long time. I expected more from him must because he is an older man but sometimes when reading the story I forget. The way he spoke to her when they first met sounded like a young kid in love but then again Katie was the light that made him live again.
A few things were predictable but still a good series to read. It’s just better that you can read the series together instead of buying each book separately.
I just wish that Brandon acted his age more and Katie stopped playing stupid games. We already knew that when it came to this man, she could never beat him as his own game but she is young and thought that she could play and leave him.
The two main characters, Katie and Brandon, are nuts. Like if anyone I had ever dated ever pulled this stuff, I’d be out of there so fast, their head would be spinning. They both lie to each other from the get-go, and CONTINUE lying and manipulating events to get back into each other’s lives, and all is forgiven with hardly a thought. I tried to like this, but I can’t relate to the characters at all. Even when I was younger, stupid, and admittedly a little crazy, I would never have gone this far, and I certainly wouldn’t be able to forgive someone who spied on me for years to get me back into their lives.
Also, this book needs further editing and formatting fixes for the Kindle edition. I’m glad I didn’t pay for this.
Brandon and Katie had a whirlwind romance that lasted that lasted for 5months and then he dumped her for lieing about her age and all the other lies to protect the first one. After the relationship ended she found out that she was pregnant and put the child up for adoption. Katie didn't know that Brandon was having her followed so he knew about the pregnancy and ended up with custody of their son. Katie started working for Brandon and he started sexing her from day one. They put each other through so much but in the end they worked everything out and got their HEA.
This book was a fun read, but there were definitely too many parts that I think could have been written better. I feel like if the characters from more flushed out that things would’ve gotten much smoother in reading this. There were parts and phrases that seemed repetitive & that made me a little crazy in light of the authors obvious talent. A good read but it didn’t knock my socks off. Thank you to the publisher and net galley for my free ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
This book has me emotionally exhausted. It was such an emotional roller coaster from the beginning. The up’s and downs had me hooked. The feeling of my heart aching in some parts of this book was so real. I did enjoy it because the story was literally everywhere between Brandon and Katie. Definitely recommend if you like plot twists and Happily ever after stories.
-Brandon is an awful person. He was suppose to be the mature one and he played the most games. I don’t think there was redemption in his character after the blind fold/earmuff scene. And who gets mad at a lie THEY KNEW ABOUT and LET ESCALATE! -Katie was young and frankly deserved better. Yes she made mistakes but not to the extent he did. -The whole child thing pissed me off. All of it.
I loved this book series can wait to read the next in the series. I didn't expect the twist I thought of a different confession. this was a very good twist. I thought she had a abortion I didn't expect her give birth and giving up the baby the he took his son and raised him. I thought he had a child with a different person.
this is my first time reading books by the authors and I'm really excited to read more by the. thank you very much for the wonderful books.

Katie was drunk one night and went out where no one checked their id's and when waiting for her friend a man came over to make sure she was safe and from the first look they both fell in love but as a 18 yr old she made the mistake of lying about her age and when found out he called iui t off. But 7 yrs later she was determined to try and have a 2nd chance. But he had to test her to the point of over doing it, but it was for a good reason.
Manipulative older man meets stupid young woman and the lies begin. Brandon meets Katie outside a bar. Immediate attraction. But both begin the relationship with lies and continue this way until they realize they are meant for each other. How many ways can they lie, hurt and screw each other, both physically and emotionally, is the jest of this story. Really not worth reading.
If you just want to read about sex, there is some pretty good stuff here, but no where near enough to suffer through the entire set. Lies, manipulation, messing with people's lives and all for love. Wait, what? It's for love so it's all good? Liked the couple at the beginning, they were lovely. By the end, ugh!
This may be my favorite of Cooper's books. This book was crazy with the twists and turns. I love a good rollercoaster ride. The H and h were both crazy and perfect for each other. Very gratifying ending. I would've liked to see a little more polish to the book and I think Cooper could've pulled back on the crazy just a touch.
Thoughout the story you are given Katie Raymond's emotional experiences, past and present. It is difficult to understand Brandon until the ending and then I still don't like him. Haha. I found you don't have to like a main H to understand and appreciate he is the one me to for the h.

This story is a very special one about a very provocative couple who had to go through so much individually in order to find that one happily ever after. The characters were so interesting and diverse and the story line was full of surprises. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
I initially was wondering what the heck was going on with these characters? Katie was naive, Brandon sounded like a cross between a Sweetheart and a Psycho. Once the reader gets to the end the 'creepy and icky' is explained , with my opinion changing to 'how sweet'. Plenty of steam without being too graphic.
I read the reviews and I'm always interested in a book that has mixed reviews. To me it obviously pushed a few buttons, it must worth reading! Yes this book was definitely worth reading! I'm on to the next one in the series after I take a breather from this one. Loved it. Well written and intriguing. Great love story.
Good storyline, badly executed. Characters were lacking and the story jumped in time with no warning. Also someone treats you badly and 7 years later you immediately let him have sex with you constantly. Irritating female lead and nothing charismatic about Brandon.
These ratings definitely didn’t reflect the story! Unfortunately there was no redemptive qualities for either protagonists. Still don’t understand why they got back together other than the amazing sex. Still perplexed here.
I am at a loss for words. This series was sick, twisted and absolutely captivating!!! I know crazy right. Well you have for read it for yourself to see why. I couldn't put it down. As always....Enjoy!!!!
