She’s too damn hot to handle—wild, reckless, untouchable. We’re nothing alike. Our upbringings, our worlds, our rules—they clash at every turn. But opposites? They attract.
I shouldn’t want her. She shouldn’t want me. Yet here we are, caught in a pull too strong to ignore.
Until the moment she has to choose—me or her family.
The easy choice is to walk away. But I don’t do easy. And I sure as hell don’t lose.
She thinks she can burn us to the ground. But I’ll fight like hell to make sure we survive.
Jagger (The Black Hornets MC #5) is a dark, steamy motorcycle club romance with fiery tension, forbidden love, and an antihero who refuses to let go of the only woman who sets him ablaze.
Savannah Rylan is a romance writer that spends most of her time writing and reading with her cat, Gris. When not penning the next great American novel, (HA), you can find her on the beach with a drink in her hand or at the gym testing out some strange new position. Yoga, obviously. She lives in Southern California with her husband and Gris, the true love of her life.
Jagger was the sixth and final book in the Black Hornet MC series by Savannah Rylan. Although the series was a spinoff from Rylan’s Dead Souls MC series, the series could be read as a stand-alone; however, the series itself should be read in order.
Jagger was a prospect within the MC. His childhood was a tragic experience. He understood having no control over the family that was provided and the devastation that could bring. He chose the MC but still held a part of himself back, not fully believing in the concept of family.
Mari was the daughter of a criminal. At eighteen she chose to walk away for a better life. Now, years later, she was forced back into the life.
Jagger picked up exactly where book five, Thor, left off. The suspenseful MC plot carried over and was beginning to see the end. In the meantime, Rylan introduced Jagger and Mari. They both held a perspective that very few could understand - a childhood with a monster as a father.
Although I loved the suspenseful plot throughout the series, I wanted more at the end. It concluded a little too abruptly for me and I wanted to see a little further into the future. Most stories were “happy for now” but still showed some conflict within the relationship. An updated novella securing their future would be awesome!
Can I leave a 5+ star review cause this book deserves more than a simple 5
OMG OMG OMG!!! talk about ending with a bang!!! this is one book I HIGHLY recommend you read in one sitting because you wont want to put it down for nothing. Jagger is the prospect for the black hornets MC and he feels like the outsider. Its not really what is happening but his past has made it hard for him to really connect with anyone (not going to give away a spoiler) and Mari well shes a woman determined to rise above her childhood and is a very strong willed and independant person (with her childhood who can blame her). ANYWAYS..... jagger and Mari are perfect for each other and you cant help but get pulled into their story. Not to mention all the new developments from the whole Rojos Drug cartel. This book is an awesome example of why rylan really knows how to write a GREAT MC collection.
(SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the end of the book Rylan tells about the new MC series she is fixing to start writing and from the sounds of it any reader that has enjoyed this series or any of her others is going to LOVE the one shes fixing to write)
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the sixth and final book in the Black Hornets MC series. In this book, we start with the explosion at the club house of the MC and Jagger has just warned everyone about the bomb. Jagger is a prospect for the MC and was outside washing everyone's bike. When he noticed the delivery van, he was suspicious and watched the van go to the barn where they were keeping Diego, the head of the cartel. When the cartel took Diego, the MC knew they had to find him to return him to prison. When Jagger learned Diego had a daughter no one knew about, he thought she would know where her father was. Mari had cut off contact with her father five years ago and now she was working at a dentist office and had bought a townhouse. When Diego landed on her doorstep, she was shocked to see him and that he wanted to stay with her. Mari hated her father, but she still loved him because he was her father. When Jagger approached Mari to ask for help turning her father into the police, she was unsure if she could. Jagger took Mari to his cabin in the woods and talked to her about his childhood and made her understand he knew how she felt. Mari and Jagger shared a connection and an attraction to one another, but Mari was still scared to turn her father in. When Diego had some of the cartel at Mari's house when she returned, she knew she had to help Jagger. Jagger felt something for Mari and he wanted to protect her, he had never felt for someone before, but he knew he had to be with her. I really loved this book. I loved Jagger, his story was heartbreaking at times and Mari understood him because she went through similar things. This was a great series that i am sorry to see end.
This is a PERFECT ending to this amazing Black Hornets MC series. We get to meet Jagger who is a propect and doing everything that is asked of him. There is the never ending danger from the Rojos Drug Cartel and how the MC is trying to get Diego into the hands of the law to clear the MC and to rid the danger to their woman and kids. Jagger has been tasked with watching the clubhouse outside while the guys have church and the women are inside a room for protection and all heck breaks lose...Jagger gets the women to safety and gets his brothers to react as two bombs go off. Diego was being held by the MC escapes and now the MC has another problem on their hands. Mari is the daughter to Diego and has left her father years ago due to his involvement in the Drug Cartel and all the horrible situations she was in as a young girl. She has put herself through school and has a great job living a good life on her own until one night her estranged father, Diego shows up on her front step looking for a safe place to stay. Things are not great but Mari has some happy memories and is unsure if the past will repeat or can her father really change. Jagger figures out that Diego has a daughter, Mair and he goes to her sharing the details they have on her father and to see if she’ll help them turn him in. There is one special connection between Jagger and Mari as their past brings them together and is definitely not one of happy memories or very good fathers. I loved how Jagger does everything he can to protect Mair and how they each overcome distrust, learning how to love and moving on from the past. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is book 6 in the series. You could read as a stand-alone. Although having the back story of the previous books does help.
In this book we have Jagger, who is a prospect with the club. Jagger is our front washing the other members bikes when a delivery truck shows up. He doesn’t recognize the driver as it’s usually the same person. Jagger realizes that there are two bombs about to go off! He races inside and gets all the ladies into the hallway and finds the guys and yells bomb just as it goes off! Jagger saved everyone! The bomb did open up the shed where the prisoner was and who is now gone. Now they will have to find Diego all over agin!
Marisol - Mari, is a dental hygienists in Redding. She put herself through school, tried to let her past of who her father was behind her. She works all the time. She never takes her vacation time. Now, with a man who she hasn’t seen in over 5 years on her doorstep she isn’t sure what she should do. Her father Diego states he has no where else to go, but Mari knows that he will entangle his life with hers in no time.
Jagger goes to Mari’s work to ask her if she would help the MC club with capturing her father. However, she is worried that they will kill him. Jagger tried to tell her that his won’t happen. But, Mari isn’t sure if she should trust him and his club. Jagger is very good at reading people, and he knows he will need to win her trust. Although, he’s also interested in winning her heart.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest review.
I love the Black Hornets MC series and Jagger is an amazing finale to this series. Savannah Rylan has once again written a book that has all the ingredients a reader could want....action, intrigue, drama, suspense, anguish, danger, passion and romance. This incredible, fast-paced story will hold you captive until the very end. Jagger is a new member of the Black Hornets and feels like an outsider. Despite his feelings he is desperate to help drive the Rojos Drug Cartel out of their town. Mari is the daughter of an important member of the Cartel and has not seen her father in five years. Mari hates the life her father leads so when he shows up at her apartment she attempts to make him leave. Mari's father needs a place to hide and he refuses to leave. Jagger has been watching Mari's house so when her father shows up he approaches Mari for her help. Will Mari help Jagger and the Black Hornets trap her father and finally bring down the cartel? If you appreciate superbly written bad boy romance specifically MC romance, you must read “Jagger”. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is last book in this thrilling series and finally all the strings come together While each book is a stand alone there is a underlying story so do yourself a favour and read them all
This is Jagger and Mari's story He is a prospect with the Black Hornet MC and is tasked with guarding the clubhouse and the room that the women and children are in while the full members hold church all hell breaks lose when there is explosions he saves the women and children but in the process Diego of the Rojos Drug Cartel escapes They need his testimony to clear the MC of the charges against it. It doesn't take long for Jagger to work out that Diego has a daughter and he goes to her for help finding her father she has had nothing to do with him for years but he is also asking for her help Who will she help will she believe the evidence that Jagger has. Both of these damaged souls have had troubled childhoods at the hands of their father will that be enough common ground for them to start to forge a future together.
WOW!!! What an amazing end to the story of The Black Hornets MC, well done Savannah, thank you for telling Jagger's story, LOVED, LOVED this book! We pick up where Jagger is running to save his club from the bombs that go off at the clubhouse. Diego has escaped and on the run, he hides out at his daughter Mari's house seeking help. Now it is up to Jagger to find him as only he can. When he gathers information that he has a daughter, he tries to get her to help bring her father and finally the cartel down. The intense connection between these two is powerful and explosive as they have been hurt and tortured growing up, can they overcome the past while working together to bring this war to an end and find the love they both deserve? Jagger and Mari's chemistry is intense and will have you on edge from beginning to the end with all of the twists and turns, I highly recommend this book and I voluntairly reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Jagger being possibly the oldest prospect in history for the Black Hornets MC. Finds himself in deep with the club. Love, Loyalty and Respect up until an unexpected delivery happens at the clubhouse and all hell breaks loose. And one missing man. With everyone in a daze from what happened the hunt it on for the one that got away. Will the club take the burden and lose everything or will the get a last clue to put this matter finally behind them. And Marisol just living her life and trying to forget her past and her father. But to her surprise he is the last person she expected to be at her door. Feeling obligated for her family and wanting to help hide her father she also wants him gone. When Jagger walks through the door of her workplace all thoughts are staggered and she has no idea what to do. Will she agree to Jaggers terms or live in fear of her father and his men forever...... Well grab your copy and find out you will not be disappointed with the outcome.
Jagger is the last book in this MC series and features a high octane, action packed book with great characters, steamy sex scenes and the signature HEA ending required in the romance genre. Jagger is a prospect for the Black Hornets MC when he is placed in charge as lookout and protector of the clubhouse during a meeting of the members. However, things heat up when the premises is bombed and a prisoner escapes. This prisoner, Diego, is a drug cartel kingpin and Jagger traces him to Diego's daughter, Mari following his escape. As the situation spirals out of control, it will be up to Jagger to keep Mari safe and out of the hands of her father. This story is tightly woven with suspenseful events leading up to a romantic interlude between the main characters. There is enough background that this book can be read as a stand-alone; however, for your best reading enjoyment I highly recommend reading this series in order.
OMG just loved Jagger and Mari story from start to finish, So we pick up from the end of Thor story when Jagger runs in shouts Bomb💣 💣. Jagger is still a prospect when the shite hits the fan, Mari has a really big connection to the cartel. they have attract that was undeniable that makes there chemistry off the hook, Can't say any more with out give spoilers so my lips are sealed. I definitely recommend, I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy. What a brilliant ending to The Black Hornets MC.
Last and perhaps best in this MC Series. . . Jagger by author Savannah Rylan Is book six and final book of the Black Hornets MC Series. This book perhaps presents the most disturbing background of both Jagger’s childhood and his love interest, Mari, who happens to be Diego’s (of the drug cartel) estranged daughter. Mari has become known to the club because Diego escaped from their clutches and they performed a deep research on him. They hope Mari will help them but she is conflicted even though she has feelings for Jagger. Will she? Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. This has been a wonderful MC Series to follow along. Each member was unique and flawed enough to make me keep reading so their redeeming value was revealed thru a woman. I am leaving this review for your consideration. Peace.
I am giving this book a 1.5. It was not a good read. The author just spewed out a book without rereading it, depended on spell check to do it part but oh there was so much more. This is why you edit: 1. I cranked up the engine to my car and roared through the woods.....I turned off my bike and sat there. ( his car turned into a bike?) 2. ....he knew I’d changed my last night. (Suppose to be name) 3. Some of them cried out for a God that didn’t exist (are you kidding me?) 4. Now tell me how she was able to do this feat? I snuck one of my guns out of my townhouse the day my father was arrested and I kept it on me at all times. Seriously? The FBI and the police are going to allow her to sneak a gun out? How? She was in the middle of a gunfight. Men were killed. How could she take evidence out?
Jagged is my favorite in this series. He was more in the background throughout this series and his story is heartbreaking. His upbringing, what he endured and his father's incarceration for multiple murders turned him into a secluded man that is looking out for the people he cares about. Mari's upbringing wasn't any better. Her father a ruthless man within the cartel who had no care for his daughter and a living mother who died too soon. She wants to do right but when her father re-enters her life he brings havoc with him. Mari and Jagger bond over their shared past and she is determined to bring her own father to justice. This is an incredible series but needs to be read in order since non of the books are a standalone. The storyline is gripping and suspenseful all the way to the last page.
Another awesome motorcycle club, Black Hornets, romance. Jagger isn't yet a fully pledged Hornet yet but his skill is putting pieces of issues together to help make plans for the club. The cartels been filtering drugs into the town and the Hornets want it stopped permanently. Mari has done everything she could to distance herself from her father. He is one of the main players in the local cartel and has just showed up at her door after five years. MS. Rylan develops the characters and story line so well that you are walking through the action with the characters. There is intrigue, suspense, action and steamy romance in this story. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
Dental assistant, Mari wasn’t as surprised as she should’ve been when her father came knocking at her door. Only the familial bond, however faint made her let him in. Jagger’s wondering if he made the right choice prospecting with the Hornets when a fake UPS guy sets off bombs around the clubhouse and stole their prisoner, Diego.
Having a pitch black past himself, Jagger’s certain he’ll be able to reason with Mari to help the club recapture her father and turn him in to the authorities, maybe even help capture Gabby’s dad while they’re at it. Her help would break the back of the back of the cartel in town, save Livvy’s job and keep everyone safe. But Mari’s not ready to make that call! Rating: 3.75stars
Fantastic! This is book six in The Black Hornets and it was amazing! We are introduced to Jagger and get to learn a little about his past and how he is a prospect for the Black Hornets but he doesn't really feel like he belongs anywhere until he meets Mari. The two have a lot in common and know what it's like to be on the outside. Of course with The Black Hornets danger is never too far away so you get plenty of action in this book along with the other characters and it makes an entertaining read. All I can say is you don't know what your missing! Get this book today and read it!
I have loved all the Black Hornets books and they all have intense story lines. However, I think this story touched me more than any of the others. We are given the background of Jagger, we all knew there was something devastating. And introduced to Mari, who's background is just as horrible. This story will pull at your heart strings. Two broken souls who finally meet someone who understands what it's like to have lived a life that is in the dark. Mari and Jager were meant for each other. You can only hope that they can heal each other. I was given this book for an honest voluntary review
Jagger is the Black Hornets’ prospect. He’s stayed quiet and in the background but has always been there for the club. When someone helps drug lord Diego escape from them, Jagger finds Diego’s estranged daughter living in Redding. Mari left Diego and cartel life behind as soon as she was able and made a life for herself. When Diego shows up on Mari’s doorstep she reluctantly lets him stay. Jagger approaches her to help them and events are set in motion. Jagger and Mari make a perfect couple and have a surprising amount in common. The Black Hornets MC is a great series and I especially enjoyed this story. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
OMG. This is the perfect story about how opportunities attract. Jagger is a prospect for the Black Hornets MC and is tasked with getting info on Mari's father, Diego. Mari has no idea what Diego has done now, except that it's not good. Diego escapes from the Black Hornets only to show up at Mari's door asking to stay with her. Now she hasn't seen or heard from him in years, so she really wants him to leave. Jagger thinks that Mari is doing what Diego tells her to, but doesn't know that she's not. This is a fantastic ending of the series, even though I wish it could keep going. Ms. Rylan you are a great writer, please keep the stories coming.
Wow!! What an ending. With The Dead Souls MC's 5 books and The Black Hornets MC's 6. It's been a fantastic journey. There were many times I couldn't see how this could possibly find a good ending, but it certainly did and fantastic it was too. Lots of blood and sex, so no good if you're squeamish. But if you're into MC books, do not pass on these, you will regret it. Savannah Rylan thank you,. I have more of your books thank goodness, just waiting for the last Dead Souls Prospects to release and have all those. But! if you feel the urge to write more, please do, I'll be there for them Sue P
I love The Black Hornets series and this book is one of the reasons why. Jagger is such an intense, “keep you on the edge of your seat and when it’s over, wishing there was more” type of book. Jagger and Mari are in so many ways broken, but they’ve both pulled themselves together and overcome the obstacles of their pasts, they’re just perfect for each other! Savannah Rylan has given us another book full of her signature style, exciting, romantic, sexy and humorous...love it! Thank you Ms. Rylan for sharing your amazing imagination, can’t wait for what you come up with next!
Jagger and Mari both share childhoods that were not ideal.
Jagger is in the right place at the right time to prevent utter devastation to the club, but a much needed prisoner escapes that is fundamental to the survival of the club. Mari has moved past her family into her own life but circumstances drag her into both her father's and Jagger's lives. Will she helpnthw club or family, will the chemistry and heat between her and Jagger survive? Is there a future for them and the club? Read on for a fantastic story!
An amazing wonderful ending to an amazing MC series with chemistry, excitement, danger and passion. This intense story will have you on edge from beginning to the end. It has lots of twists and turns, wondering if trust can be established to get Dieago who has escaped back before it all falls apart, while also bringing the cartel down once and for all. The characters both have damaged troubled pasts and troublesome fathers which give them a powerful connection. This is an exciting action packed suspense you just won't want to miss. I honestly and voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
Jagger is the sixth book in the Black Hornets Series. It is a must to read this series in order. Otherwise you will be completely lost as to who is who and how the MC got to where they are.
Jagger and Mari both are haunted by their father's pasts. They have more in common than most yet when they meet, their own past history causes them to fight the chemistry between them. Read to find out what "family" do to protect one another. Blood makes you related but not necessarily family.
Ties up all the loose ends. This is this last story in the series. Even though, each book has a HEA, you should read the entire series to understand what is happening. Jagger and Marisol have a similar upbringing in common. The question is whether Jagger can convince Marisol to take the steps he did to separate from his past. And can he do it in time before tragedy strikes. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
What an absolutely awesome final books for this series. Jagger a prospect, I never gave him much mind when mentioned in the previous books, but he now explodes off the page. Danger, suspense surround them all, but doesn't stop the brothers from finding the loves of their lives and they will do everything to protect their families. Savannah is an amazing storyteller with an infinite imagination that pulls you into a world that just explodes. Thank you.
This is Jagger and Mari's story. I really liked these characters. These opposites attract in a very big way! Their chemistry was super intense. Both are emotionally wounded and have the baggage to prove it. The gripping story line is filled with powerful emotions, drama, suspense, action, excitement, heat, danger and plenty of twists. A very entertaining read and a excellent addition to this series. This is my honest, voluntary review.
I loved this book and the way it was all wrapped up with Jagger and Mari. I would have given this book 5 stars except there was one thing I was really looking forward to seeing...Jagger get his top rocker!!! Did he? Didn’t he? I also would have liked to have seen them prove him wrong with his feelings of the club as a family, tho it was somewhat implied, but not well. Those are my only criticisms of the book. Sorry to see this series end and can’t wait for the next!!!
