Mark is a doctor at St. Vincent’s, determined to be the best on the floor. While his passion lies in saving those who need his help, he’s distracted by another physician at the hospital. They may see each other every day, but Mark wants more than a nod in passing.
Jason is Mark’s rival, a talented medic in his own right and a fiery romantic. While the man he has his eye on is a little more aloof, Jason wants to pounce and dig his claws in. It's just too bad that he can't find the time outside work.
Together, the two doctors find that they make each other shine. Life couldn’t be better when the two find a connection so true. But when problems arise and Mark’s fate is left in the hands of a co-worker with a side of jealousy, will Mark and Jason lose each other?
Dr. Perfect is a gay standalone romance novel intended for adults only.

This book was okay! I was really interested in reading this because it's a M/M romance that follows two doctors! which is something I've never read about before and I was really excited about it. The romance was really cute actually and I think Mark and Jason had a lot of chemistry and banter and I loved seeing them work as partners in the hospital. But then this book took an unexpected turn and it felt like it was trying to be a thriller? I appreciate that it talks about real issues that doctors face: like giving a patient the wrong meds and legally getting in trouble for it, but at the same time this aspect of the story totally shifted the vibes of this book. The ending was so cliche and ridiculous. But I still liked the characters and they had cute chemistry so I might read more books from this author in the future.
***** Dr. Mark and Dr. Jason overcome adversity. Two third year residents that work in the Emergency Department every day are a great team. We'll see crazy cases and a case gone devastatingly wrong. From a wealthy family, Dr. Perfect, Mark, 28, dark hair and eyes, is the one who gets constant praise by their supervisor. Hard working, non-afluent and a virgin, Jason, 28, with dark blonde hair and blue eyes, is an "out" gay man, who is ignored, but continues to do his job excedingly well. (on cover) Mark finally lets Jason know he's also gay, but in the closet, and Jason is offended by Mark's asshat attempt. Slowly they get over their argument and Mark defends Jason when a case goes wrong. Mark and Jason get time for talks and begin a better friendship as they learn more about theuir pasts and situations. Loved Bill, Jason's gray, one-eyed cat, he was perfect, too. The men's sexy times are exciting and hot, but Jason's virginity is honored through the epilogue. We also get Mark's surprise. Then we see the beautiful wrap up to our M/M romance. ENJOY !
I found this book so bland and cliche that when I hit about 20% I literally swiped and only read a few sentences per page until it came to something interesting, and I think that was after the 90% mark. The only reason I did that is because I wanted to find out what happened with the whole drug mistake bit with Jason.
I checked and this is the 3rd book I've read by this author - one I gave a 3.5 star review rounded down to 3 stars, and the other ended up on my "meh - dnf" shelf! Maybe I should get the message that this author isn't for me!
What was with all this fucking 𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮? Talk about trying too hard. Why the hell was 𝙅𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 60'𝙨 𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙣 18 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡? 😩 No fucking 28 year old man blushes that much. Especially not someone who works in a fucking hospital. 😑
The number of times 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 is enough to make me want to cut that word out of the dictionary. Talking about Mark, I have a perfect nickname for you— dipshit💩. I don't know how he carries 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘨𝘰. It must be really heavy.
What's with 𝙅𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙘𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙢𝙣 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚? I am not shaming anyone for crying but making it ur only personality! Come the fuck on! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 😐. We all know that but we don't cry 24/7 for it. Again, Not that there's anything wrong with crying, I do it too. It's just the situation he was crying at. I just couldn't understand shit. 😖
I am so 𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗱. 😫The book will probably work for a lot of you guys who like books with shy, nerdy, blush-like-you-are-getting-paid-for-it, virgin and the intimidating, asshole, thinks everything will go his way, and personally, very punchable MC's. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲. 😤
There was so much 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮 and the 𝚜𝚎𝚡 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚋𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐. Went through the whole book for no damn reason. Just writing this review us making me pissed at myself for wasting my own time. I am done. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦. 😣
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the romance between Mark and Jason. Mark and Jason are doctors at the same hospital and are always working together. Jason is out and is in love with Mark, but Mark is straight. Jason comes from a middle class family, but he struggles with money now, only spending it a membership to the country club so he can spend time playing tennis with Mark. Mark is from a wealthy family and doesn't think anything about money. Mark is also gay, but no one knows, he knows his family will not approve, they expect him to marry a girl from a wealthy family. Mark also has feelings for Jason, but knows he can't act on them. On New Year's Eve, Mark gets drunk at the party for the hospital staff and hits on Jason. Jason is shocked and when Mark takes him into an empty room, they kiss and Mark gets aggressive, causing Jason to push him away. Mark doesn't understand and when they see each other the next day, there is a strain on them. They get into a fight about a patient, but Mark learns information about the man from his wife and tells Jason. A few days later, it is learned the patient died and Jason is facing a hearing because of it. Mark knows Jason didn't ignore the information he gave him and he is worried about him. When Mark goes to Jason's apartment, he finds him drunk, so Mark takes Jason and his cat Bill back to his apartment to watch him. Mark and Jason are attracted to each other and when they talk, Mark realizes Jason was hurt in the past and he acted like a jerk to him and Jason deserves more. Jason reveals he is a virgin and tells Mark he has to earn the right to be with him. Mark and Jason develop a deeper connection and i think Mark realized how much Jason meant to him. I really loved this story. I love how Jason wanted Mark to prove he had feelings for him and wasn't after a one night stand. I thought they had a great connection and great chemistry. Both men had to face issues with their families and decide how they wanted to live. Another great one from Peter.
One thing I most often have difficulty with in romances is the pacing. It seems as if within a few short hours of meeting, characters are having wild, unabashed sex, professing their love for one another and disclosing deep (usually traumatic) truths about themselves. But this book didn't do that, and it made me very happy. I liked that the characters were established friends, and the chemistry between them was believable and natural. I also appreciated the lack of cheesy, over-the-top dialog. Very well done on both those aspects.
The only thing I disliked was a particular scene that felt more reckless than sexy. It took me out of the flow of the story and made me worry--do people really do this?? It disturbed me instead of making me swoon. It wasn't a huge deal, but I hope no one takes inspiration from that scene and endangers the people around them. Endangering innocent strangers lives is not hot. There were also some small editing hiccups where a character suddenly had the wrong name, but these things happen.
The medical conflict in the story was also very well done and interesting! The ending was a bit campy, but aren't they all? I would definitely read this author again! Well done.
I really enjoyed Mark and Jason. Mark came across as quite arrogant but with his upbringing and especially how his mum was you can kind of understand it but the thing that hurt my heart the most is that he was so firmly in the closet and he was denying himself any chance at true happiness. He might have been willing to come out to his parents but only if he could find a man "socially acceptable", the only problem? He is insanely attracted to Jason and Jason is completely clueless. Unbeknownst to Mark Jason has a serious crush on him too. When a drunken fumble and misunderstanding cause tension between these two an error is made and a patient dies, this puts Jason's future as a doctor and even his freedom in jeopardy. Mark really steps up and helps Jason through it and is a true friend to Jason. But with the threat of criminal charges hanging over Jason as well as Mark's unwillingness to come out of the closet can they actually have a future together? Excellent characters and a riveting story make this a must read.

I love Dr. Perfect it has angst, intrigue, mystery and love. Jason and Mark are residents working at the same hospital and have known each other for over a year. Jason has had a crush on Dr. Perfect aka. Mark since he met him, the problem is Jason thinks Mark is straight. Mark has feelings for Jason but thinks that he isn't good enough for Jason. Mark doesn't know if his feelings for Jason are strong enough to conquer the fear of telling his parent's he is gay. When Jason gets in some trouble at the hospital Mark makes it his duty to find out the truth. In doing so, they end up spending more time together outside of the hospital, which results in them getting to know each other more, and their feelings for each other to become stronger. Can Mark figure out what really happened and clear Jason's name? Will they finally make their feelings known to each other? Can they be each other's forever?
The author starts us with a nice, workplace, unrequited love kind of romance and then BAM! All hands on deck for the craziness that could happen to anyone. Favoritism and backstabbing abound and I was shipping Mason until Mark let someone make him doubt Jason.
My heart is so full of Mark and Jason right now. I mean, I get it. I do not have to like Mark and his shenanigans, but his life is not mine. He is lucky enough to avoid making choices until he has to make the one to change his life. And do not get me wrong, Jason is not a complete pushover. He has his own issues and needs and like Mark, he gets to banish a few demons, too.
Read for the suspense - because oh my goodness that was off the chain - and stay for the romance. Do not forget to pet Bill, the one-eyed cat.

Jason and Mark are residents at the same hospital and work together as partners all the time. Working as a team is standard for them, but for some reason, the doctor over them seems to see only Mark. Mark is smart, but rich with influential parents. He however thinks that Jason is the better doctor. Jason saves the day when a patient comes in dying and he figures out what is wrong, but Mark gets the credit. the two young men work their differences out and go about their daily business. Then Jason is put on administrative leave some for he doesn't do. Mark steps up to defend his friend. Jason is gay and Mark is bisexual now all these two need to do is figure out what they really mean to each other. A suspenseful story and a sweet HEA. Don't forget the really cute cat. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC book.
they had been competitive buds throughout their residency -they played tennis regularly and texted about work, but one was out and proud, whether his folks were proud for him too, or not.
The other came from a wealthy Pharmaceutical family. So not out - way not out. Although mom kind of is starting to admit she may notice. Maybe a social match with another doctor from a good family?
But their feelings seem to go more than skin deep - can they be that into each other too? Can they survive work and family crises, and snuggling with one eyed Bill the cat?
Love is as difficult, or as complicated, as you make it - and then the world loads on top of it.
Time to seek the best partner for the rough and bumpy ride ahead!

Mark is Dr. Perfect, he is the only son in a wealthy family. As a Dr. he is respected and will get a position when residency is completed. Jason is also a Dr. an is really good with patients but comes from a middle class background. He has had a crush on Mark from the first time they met that has developed into more but he knows Mark is straight. New Years Eve Mark makes a move on Jason, you see Mark is not straight but gay he just has not come out yet. Join them on their journey as they decide where to go and how to get there. I loved this story how it delta with insecurity and fears they each had.

Mark has always had expectations placed on him by his parents...including who to marry and who is acceptable to their country club lifestyle. Even though he refuses to marry they can't seem to hear him! Being a medical resident doesn't matter as long as he never embarrasses them. Jason was raised in a dysfunctional family which ignored him when he came out. Of course they'll gladly take his money. When Jason is accused of a crime, Mark comes to his defense. Mark takes him home with him and his 'secret' is out. His mother didn't faint but it was a close thing!
The tension in this book is wonderful and the conclusion satisfying.
Dr Perfect was just that... Perfect. It amazes me how two authors can get together and churn out a book that just flowed like it was one mind. Yes, we had fast paced, medically based and too much teasing; but Mark and Jason proved that they were indeed perfect for each other, even when dissolution of friendship and a career was laying between them.
Mark proved himself and both grew in character during this storytelling. They both realised that they were the best of each other. I enjoyed this story tremendously.
When two Dr.'s who are best friends get a bit drunk at a work party, revelations about each other come out and it just gets steamier from there.
I really enjoyed the backstory to Jason's hesitance at finally being with Mark. And I loved how Mark didn't let Jason get away with not revealing his feelings, ever. It was a super cute story of two men taking it slow in their minds to create a meaningful advance from friends to more. And the HEA was perfect!
This story has great characters. and an intriguing hospital setting. Themes include opposites attract, being out vs closeted, deciding what you want for your life, family tensions, jealousy, and work stress. I loved Mark and Jason and their obvious connection, although neither acts on it until a drunken New Year's episode that creates some drama of its own. Great writing and fantastic HEA ending.

I couldn't connect to this. Couldn't like these guys, care for them, nothing. The spoiled, entitled, jerk doctor and the frustrated, whiny, virgin doctor. Made for each other. Not even the HEA saved this story for me. One-off. Can't win them all, and that's OK Lots of others will appreciate it, find it funny and sweet for sure. I like that there're all sorts of different ppl out there ^^
I know it happens in real life, but I really dislike that money and old family connections provide privilege and “credibility” over honest hard work and smarts. This book reminded me how much I cringe at those scenarios, but it was interesting to see how it played out here between Jason and Mark. It was also very scary to think about how easily something could go wrong in a medical situation – yikes!
As with every other book I've read by Peter Styles, I frickin' loved 'Doctor Perfect'. While it's a M/M-ROM with lots of steamy-steamy, this book still had decent plot, developed characters and a well though out conclusion. I love the HEA that the reader often gets with Mr. Styles' stories and don't care if a quick trip to the altar is usually in the cards for the MCs. This book WILL be REREAD on some Sunday afternoon. Yum-yum, sigh.
This author's books just keep getting better. I've always enjoyed his books and his writing but they keep getting better. This book is well written with a great storyline. This book has some steamy scenes which I've thoroughly enjoyed. Its always nice to read about 2 people who find love particularly when they've gone through difficult times. Will read more from this author.
What a wonderful story, I could not put it down! Definitely a must read, dramas,a beautiful love story and a scary mystery. This was such a great story, a wonderful Author, he will keep you on the edge of your chair! So many thanks, Honey Bee 🐝💙📚🔥🎶
I’ve been spoiled by the likes of Eli Easton, Josh Landon, et al. This book was mediocre in idea, plot, and the editing was sub-par. I could not identify with anyone. Get a proofreader who is both competent and honest. “But she soon found out that her grocery store cashier job wasn't going to pay her Bill's.”
Another wonderful story by Peter Styles. Doctors finding themselves, one closeted, Mark, and the other, Jason, openly gay. Parents and others conceptions play a large part and somehow their acceptance was made before they decided to be with each other. The emotions shown by the characters was great, but the narrator seemed monotone too many times.
They are doctors and they are so different to each other but there is a spark between them. Can they connect? Will a relationship bloom between them? See how they get on

Very enjoyable with great characters in Jason and Mark. I loved the hospital setting. Suspenseful with a lot of heat, I loved all the drama in their relationship and the chemistry. A really sweet story.
Buena historia, demasiado spicy y muy poco avance, me hubiera gustado saber como fue la aceptación de los padres ante el matrimonio, lo que sucedió en esos dos meses, pero fue bueno, me gustó para una historia ligera
