A better introduction to the truth of what really happened during the Cold War a Historian will never find. It is in many ways a summary of the war as the Cold War is full of side-stories which the book does not have time to delve into, but this book hits all the major events while also disclosing what life was really like behind the Iron Curtain. An excellent addition to any Historical library and a highly-recommended read.
