Dinosauri

Rate this book
For over 150 million years, dinosaurs were the undisputed rulers of the Earth. Today, these great lizards still fire the imagination. This vividly illustrated book describes the fearsome creatures who lived in the great Age of Reptiles, including bloodthirsty meat eaters such as the infamous Tyrannosaurus rex and lumbering plant eaters such as Seismosaurus, one of the largest creatures ever to walk the Earth.

Dinosaurs features prehistoric monsters of every conceivable size and shape, from the fast, agile killer dinosaur Deinonychus, which hunted down prey in large packs, to slower, more heavily armored dinosaurs such as Edmontonia, whose body was protected by a row long, sharp spikes. Also featured are many of the prehistoric world's other most incredible and awe-inspiring creatures, from huge birds of prey to saber-toothed cats.
,br>Dinosaurs is illustrated throughout with stunning, full-color artwork. Each entry includes easy-to-follow text, maps, and information boxes, designed to enhance the learning experience. With examples drawn from throughout the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods, this engaging and accessible volume reveals the spectacular world of some nature's most sensational and truly "monstrous" creations.

Is a good book with good illustrations. I read lots of dinosaur books to my children and am surprised that the names of each don't have the phonetic spelling by the names so we can teach out children the proper way to say the names. Also someone didn't do there job with the editing on page 40 and 41 on the Cryolophosaurus under the facts says 22 tons which is about 44 times heavier than it actually is. Pretty sad that a nicely made book can make these mistakes. If I made mistakes like this in my line of work people die so we double and triple check everything until it's perfect .

Fabulous artwork throughout. Just incredible graphics. My son received this book when he was 5 and studied the pictures and learned an amazing amount of detail about each of the dinosaurs. He continues to keep this in his collection today (he's 10) because "it's a keeper Mom!" The only caution is that the artwork can be quite graphic with blood, etc. for predators. That said, I'd still recommend it highly.
