My nephew has made me read this 1000 times. That's 100,000 words. I will likely read it to him 1000 more times, so I'm counting it as part of my book challenge. He loves it. I love that he loves it.
I really love the huge dump truck and the big rig. It's cool to see all sorts of big vehicles. I like the bulldozer because it pushes dirt and lifts it. I like the garbage truck because it can pick up stuff and turn it into new things(recycling). Learning about snow plows is cool; they push snow off the road so people can drive on it. So it's not slippery. I like that the skid steer goes up and down. The roller makes dirt so smooth you could ice skate on it. The rocket ship is my favorite part of the whole book. It can blast into space.
Little Harris seemed to really like this one, but I wasn't thrilled. There are 100 vehicles pictured and labeled in it... but only half are what I would consider "trucks." There's one whole page of boats! There's a kayak featured in First 100 Trucks! Still gets two stars since LH seemed to like it, and for the bright colors.
