The small practice book provides many different types of flourishes to practice and provides a list of design principles when thinking about adding flourishes and other decorate ornamentation to a piece.
It doesn’t however really get into the construction of flourishes based on mother forms or provides a step-by-step of how to draw flourishes. And that would be my one critique- there was a lot of text, and it would have been helpful have a more of a step by step layout.
The other valuable part of this volume was the drafting explanation and the step by step instructions on how to do floral wreathes.
Overall, recommend if you have read a couple of other flourish lessons. This can expand on a foundation.

Great book!
Author was very informative and showed genuine compassion for her work! I really enjoyed this book and I think others, that show an interest in this subject would like it too!!

This book was helpful in learning how to do fancy lettering and flourishing. I used a nice mixed media art pad and different calligraphy markers to practice on as I went along.
