Taj, age 5: I love the book so much that I would like to be the princess and then I would marry the prince forever and I would live with him forever and ever and he would be my husband and I would have babies. And I would love it, to be in the book. And my sister read it, too.

This book is great for rhyming. There are a lot of rhyming words and characters that you could have kids rhyme to, like Queen, King, pea, horse, and many more. You could make a game out of it.

Review: I’m not a big fan of fairytales because I find them boring and repetitive. The Princess and the Pea is about a prince looking for a princess. The prince’s mom, the queen, put a pea under the girl's mattress to see if she’d notice. She noticed her bed felt different which proved she was worthy of being with the prince.

I am not very familiar with this story, but I really enjoyed it. I feel like the ending was very predictable because it ended as most fairytales do. In the classroom, I think it would be fun to find this book in different languages and compare the storylines on this classic tale! I would love to add this book to my classroom library.
