All of these questions and more are answered in this new special edition from the editors of TIME, The Science of Memory. Herein, you’ll learn about the Time-Bending Magic of Smell, the Myths of Aging, and Why Sleeping on It Is Key for Memory. Activate your left brain, learning about the five key areas that aid our recollection—the Hippocampus, Amygdala, Prefrontal Cortex, Olfactory Bulb, and Hypothalamus—and your right brain, exploring why a whiff from your local restaurant may transport you back to your grandmother’s dining room. You’ll also learn Eight Unexpected Things That Mess with Your Memory, such as a high-fat diet and a vitamin B12 deficiency, as well as Six Funny Things You Can Do to Remember, like chewing gum or using a funny font—Comic Sans, anyone? This was a 100-page long inspiring and instructive publication, which is a composition of articles by Time Editors.

Order of articles were designed very good. Starting from anatomy of human brain, explaining particular functionality of each piece of brain, then goes what happens when one of them is damaged or not functioning properly.(through stories, lab and social experiments)

The most interesting parts for me were people having memory problems after accident and why memory related stories are very attractive for Hollywood (Memento, 50 first dates, Bourne Trilogy etc.)

Article about myths and facts was enlightening for me, i.e. I was thinking after 20's human memory was deteriorating fast but now i know it isn't. It's up to me, my diet, my life style and how much stress i am exposed to...
Ending article gives recommendations on preserving long term memory, keeping memory fresh, up and running.

I will definitely eat more avocados and keep away from those habits causing my memory get lazy.

Less technology, more Vitamin E :)
