STEAMY, CAPTIVATING AND INTENSE!
Daisy St. James is such a talented writer! She creates characters that jump right off the page and capture the reader, holding their emotions hostage until the very last word. Book 1 (Phoenyx in Flames) was amazing and it set the bar high for this series but Book 2 (Phoenyx Falling) has RAISED THE BAR completely! This series is unlike anything else out there. Paranormal romance at it's BEST! Can't wait for the next one!

Mystery, heartbreak, vengeance.
This book is a sequel and started off exactly where the last one left. A lot of times I hate starting another story in a series, because I feel like it won't live up to my expectations and the story is lacking. This was not one of those times. The way this author unraveled Jane's (Phoenyx') story, why she is the way she is, and what she is, is so captivating and leaves you wanting more. This story is one of those you can just lay on the couch, munching on caramel corn at 2 in the morning (I hope I'm not the only one that does this) because you NEED to know what's happening next until the very last page... And then some. I'm ready to jump into the next book to see where we go from here, and if Phoenyx' will go back to the light, or continue to the dark side.
To everyone considering reading this, I recommend you give it a try, and recommend you read it in order. The size of this story can be intimidating to some, but I promise after you start it it just flows from page to page with ease.

I absolutely loved the first book in the series and then in this one as her powers awake and all he$$ breaks loose after I fell in love with her more even as my heart was breaking for her. She's found out she's more powerful than she thought. Learned who her father was. Battled with her sister, for her life I might add. And met the man/vamp of her soul. Mixing breeds isn't the only hornet's nest she's stirring up and she really doesn't care. When the battles over and the reason she fought is gone, there may be only one person/vamp that will be able to reach her. It's a battle that has no limits, in a war that takes no prisoners with betrayal and vengeance at every corner. Trust no one, suspect everyone, don't loose yourself. It doesn't turn out so great.
Loved it can't wait for the next book in the series because yes this does end in a cliffhanger and I need closure. This new to me author is no joke, she has blown me away.

I'm loving this series.
This is the second book in The Phoenyx series and these books have captured my attention and my imagination.
They're captivating and intense with some fantastic characters to love and some to hate, a great balance.
With plenty of danger, witty humour and the right amount of steamy romance I'm already addicted.
Phoenyx has her whole world turned upside down by some shocking revelations. We also learn more about her bloodline and her history. I loved how strong and resilient she is when faced with impending danger.
She's a kickass Assassin through and through.
The mystery surrounding Ash intensifies and I'm even more intrigued and completely seduced by the enigmatic Vamp. I need to know all his secrets. He's definitely my favourite.
I can't wait to see what's instore in the next book. It's going to be explosive thats for sure.
I'm hoping my loveable Sand Demon Cortez gets his story. He ticks all my boxes...after Ash that is. ;)

I hands down am becoming a Daisy St. James avid fan. Anybody who loves fast paced paranormal romance this is for them! Phoenyx Falling is one of those sequels that I feel almost out shines the first in the series. You get Phoenyx as she discovers her dark side and comes to realization of what and who she truley is. She has help of course in the forms of witches, a sand demon, and vampires. As if becoming something you were always taught were bad wasn’t bad enough. Throw in a b*tchy bratty sister who is trying to destroy you and your loved ones. Dive in and find out how she deals with all this and who helps get her panties in a literal twist. Book three can not come out fast enough that is for sure!

Again, I don’t normally read paranormal or supernatural books, because “I’m just not into them!” I am walking proof of someone really “not knowing what they don’t know!!!” Because, maybe I am into them....❤️🌼🔥
Until I read this series by Daisy St. James, I really knew almost nothing about demons, succubi, incubi, witches, warlocks, even vampires, other than Hollywood’s version, so, although I loved both PHOENYX IN FLAMES and PHOENYX FALLING, this series has been a learning experience for me.. But if the books hadn’t hooked me as quickly as they did, I still would have no knowledge of the undead.....❤️🌼🔥
I don’t like to give spoilers in my reviews, because I don’t want to ruin anyone else’s experience of reading these books, but if you already like this genre, you will love these books, and, if you, like me, are a paranormal virgin, don’t overlook PHOENYX IN FLAMES and PHOENYX FALLING...you, like me, just might expand your reading horizons, too....❤️🌼🔥

After reading book 1 Phoenyx in Flames I was so desperately wanting book 2!! This book did NOT disappoint!
The author has done a fantastic job creating a rich world where the plot moves like a snake weaving and turning on itself. The paranormal lore is in point, with surprises and secrets galore. Lastly the characters- OMG they are superbly written, have you feeling all the feels, cheering when things go to plan, swearing like a sailor when things aren't and sitting there with your jaw wide open when a surprise jumps out and whammies everyone. The wait till Book three will be pure torture! #teamash

Warnings: This is the second book in the series. You must read the first book in order to enjoy this book. This series isn't multiple stories told in one series. It's one story told over multiple books. So do not expect a traditional HEA at the end of this book or others unless its the final book. If you can go in understanding these things then it definitely a binge worthy series.

-Original take on the origins of vampires
-excellent writing skills
-multi-dimensional characters
-enthralling storylines
-You will laugh, you will cry, you will cheer, you will relate to the characters with both their lows and their highs
-Strong female characters

- an extreme amount of sex. The sex wasn't terrible. Well written but just in so much excess that I became bored with them. I found myself wishing i could skip them but the author delivers vital information to the storyline during the sex scenes. If you love books with an overabundance of sex then this problem not a con for you. For me it was the only thing that ruined the book for me since I am not a fan of a ton of sex. Also its quite possible the sex wasn't as much as i think, and i just think its too much because I prefer only a tiny bit of sex.
I cant really tell you much without spoiling the book. I highly recommend this for readers who want a binge worthy series following the same story told over multiple books. And for readers who love smutty dark fantasy stories.

An exciting story with Phoenyx in the lead role. A fighter for all good in a world of paranormal evil creatures, she becomes a succubus herself when she loses her virginity. You get to read beautiful scenes between her and Judas. But also between Lilith (half-sister and succubus) and her lover Ian and the characters Monroe and Ash.
When her life is threatened by her half-sister, Judat lives up to his name and leaves her. What Phoenyx doesn't know is that he does this out of love for her.
Ash is the vampire who continues to help her. Unclear what he really is but his role remains after others are killed.
The book ends in a cliffhanger.....I'm getting ready for part 3

Oh boy where to start? We end off with Phoenyx in Flames where Phoenyx is learning more about who she is and where her heritage came from. As we journey into Phoenyx's life, she deals with heartbreak, drama, love, lust, betrayal and a sand demon who surprises her with his loyalty (hes my fav side character). Phoenyx falls in love with Judas, but in my opinion I hate Judas (#teamash all the way).
We have twists, turns and things that make you jump in the night. I loved this book. The author improves with each novel. Well done.

Absolutely LOVE this second book in this series. Phoenyx is completely amazing trying to find herself and discover all the changes she's going through. She also is trying to figure out her relationship with Judas ( not a fan, this reader HATES him) but yet is also drawn to Ash ( yes MA'AM TEAM ASH HOLY FREAKING HOTNESS). This book was a non stop read with witty humor, awesome characters, continuing plot build keeping you engrossed with twists that COMPLETELY FLOORED me. I have a serious book hangover and need more of this series ASAP

Just when Phoenyx thought things couldn't get any more f**ked up in her life she has an itchy back, has a diet that that normal vegans have and questions she needs answers for. This is a faced paced and addictive read where you have no idea what will happen next, there is mystery, betrayal, twists, heartbreak and shocking events that will leave you slacked jaw while trying to take things in. I thought book 1 was great but boy this one is even better so I really hope Daisy St. James has book 3 in the works already because I sooo need it now!!!

This book floored me. First time read of this author and as she had me hold my breath. The pages wrapped around me making feel like a story junky. This is apparently the second book in this series and I probably should have read the first one which I will shortly rectify. Saying all that you can read it as a stand-alone but I am sure just like me you will want way more. I loved all the characters, good and bad but needless to say I loved Phoenyx the best. She broke my heart but made me want to be her but the reason why would be a spoiler and I try not to do them.

I am hooked - utterly hooked on this series. YES, they end on cliffhangers, and YES they use some unique interpretations of an old trope (witches, vamps, succubuses (or is it succubi?) anyway - so good, so addictive and such an immersive world to lose yourself in. Oh and our heroine is a kick-ass ballsy badass. What's not to love?.

First of all, this is the second in a series and you absolutely should read book 1 to understand the events in this book.
Second, Wow, what a phenomenal story! I loved book 1 and this story starts up as soon as book 1 ends. Phoenyx has reached her full potential and is coping with the changes within her body. I do not want to give anything away since this book is so fast paced, but prepare to stay up all night consuming this book. I am so impressed with the story and world building. I highly recommend this story!!.

If book 1 was a superb book the sequel is a block buster. The plot, the characters, the new sub-plots, new faces everything is so well thought off and added it's amazing.
The best part is everything is different and yet still the same. Daisy St. James has the unique gift of taking the known and adding new elements to them making them very different.
Without writing more I would recommend all paranormal genre lovers to try is book.

I really enjoyed reading this book, most of the time the sequel doesn't live up to the original. This book wasn't like that, it was a very good story with great characters and I enjoyed the environment that was created.

Phoenyx Falling is the second in the series by Daisy St. James. We see spitfire Phoenyx back in action. Just as sassy as ever. Book two definitely has more heat and the emotions and tension is running higher.
There are many twists and turns in this book and secrets are revealed but the ending has me hoping that this series will be a trilogy, not just a duology.

Phoenyx/Jane is back in this continuation from Phoenyx in Flames, and she's discovering even more about herself - things that further confuse her and give her even more insight into her true self. Meanwhile, Ash is fighting his feelings for Jane, and Judas is giving Phoenyx the comfort she needs. Are you #TeamAsh or #TeamJudas? Lilith is still out for blood, and there is more action that keeps you guessing in this second installment. Looking forward to the next piece of the puzzle!

This is book 2 of the Phoenyx series and it’s a fantastic story. Phoenyx finds out who she really is she also finds out that she has a dark side ooh I loved it, her sister Lilith has people hunting her a sister that she didn’t even know but she has friends to back her up witches, a sand demon he’s my favourite and vampires. This is an exciting series a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Lilith is relentless and won't stop her attacks on Phoenyx life. Judas gives himself up to keep Phoenyx safe. But love is a strong motivator and Phoenyx swoops in, with some help from her family and friends, to rescue him from Lilith's clutches. And poor lovelorn Ash. What's up with him? Lots of action and romance and unresolved issues in this second book of the series. I loved reading this!

The book is a good paranormal romantic suspense read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good.
