A contemporary romance for those who believe in true love and happily ever after endings.

Alexis is running away from heartache. Expecting a proposal, she is devastated when her boyfriend unceremoniously dumps her instead.
She runs all the way to New Zealand, where she has inherited a sheep farm from her reclusive grandfather.
Life on a farm is not quite what she had expected. Her sheep are surprisingly aggressive, and her farmhand works hard to see her fail.
Luckily for her, her handsome new neighbor, Mason, is always happy to help out a struggling city girl.
But when disaster strikes and Alexis makes a critical misjudgment, her newfound confidence takes a battering. She must dig deep into her heart to work out what she truly wants from life, and to find the courage to fight for it.

Warning: heartfelt emotion, humor, and a love that tugs at your heartstrings!

This was a nice read. Alexis leaves New York after being dumped by her boyfriend. She moves to New Zealand to take over the sheep farm that was owned by her grandfather. She doesn't really know a lot about it but with the help of Mason she is able to learn. Mason and Alexis are very different but they work together so I was happy that got their HEA.

🌁Lovely tale of a gal city slicker sampling a stint of the simple, country life🌄

Format: Kindle Edition
🐏🌄🐑 This sweet💕 romance was a real treat to read. The characters evolve during the course of the story and, believe me, the heroine's transformation is ALL for the better! It's really a love song to the country life and the virtues of hard work, keeping things simple and living in the moment. The author does not romanticize farm life and the realism of the daily, unglamorous life of a sheep farmer is such a refreshing change of pace from the preponderance of romances about luxury and billionaires written these days.

I did think that the heroine and her upwardly mobile NYC social circle were unrealistically uninformed about New Zealand, but that was a minor blip in the totality of the tale.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Alexis breaks up with her boyfriend, then heads to New Zealand to get herself back together while settling the farm that her Grandfather left her as an inheritance. While there, she finds herself struggling to learn the ins and outs of farm ownership and leans on her neighbor to help her out.

I enjoyed the book, even though it was fairly predictable. There was a sweet romance, and I enjoyed the description of the New Zealand countryside.

This is a nice romance set in New Zealand with great characters.

Some of Sophia's ideas about a sheep station in New Zealand gave me a giggle but she's from New York. She did, however, have a hunk for a neighbour and also learns what’s really important in her life.

It was an easy and interesting romance with a happy ever after.

REAL people in REAL worlds
Ms. Black deftly painted the changes in Alexis as she went from NYC to New Zealand from one harsh world to another. The story was unique in many ways and well written with terrific characters even the “bad” guys. (I'm getting ready to read the second book!)

I received this book from BookSends ARC and absolutely loved it ! Reminded me of my own life, soooo relatable. Goes back to the saying “can’t judge a book by its cover”. Great writing from the beginning to the end. The ending was my favorite part, couldn’t put it down!
