Fabulous series. I really enjoyed all three books, there are so many hours of great entertainment. Jack Wolfe is such a great character, but it’s his dog Cody that sets these stories apart from other Action Thrillers. Cody is an ex-marine dog from the war, he’s incredibly smart and he’s always by Jack’s side, which is a good thing with the extreme situations Jack gets himself into. I like that there is always something happening in each story, and I found myself reading faster and faster to find out what was going to happen. Mark Nolan is one of the Authors on my list that I look out for. These books are well worth a read, and easily worth the 5/5 Star Rating.

This is such a great series, really well written, clever, and completely absorbing. You can’t go wrong with a Mark Nolan novel and with this bundle you get three books for the price of one. Brilliant!

BOOK #1:
5 Stars

Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie is a riveting novel by Mark Nolan. Mr. Nolan has produced a truly gripping and action packed, suspenseful thriller. This exciting book has so much going on within its pages that I was bowled over, in a very good way! It contains drama, suspense, a bit of mystery, police investigation procedures, crime/criminal activities, military tactics/terminology and flashbacks, news and photo journalism references, secret organisations, sexy women, vile villains- and so much more.
It is quite a long book, but it is so engrossing, I was completely wrapped up in the story; only putting it down to take care of my ‘real life’ responsibilities- and even then, I couldn’t stop thinking about the story and anticipating what would happen next.
Jake Wolfe is a military veteran who is currently working as a photo journalist for a local news channel. He was following a lead on a potential story that had him ‘tailing’ a well-known lawyer, in the hope of digging up some ‘dirt’ on him. The lawyer has driven to an exclusive golf club, where Jake is witness to the lawyers’ murder, capturing the whole thing on camera and in the process he gets an image of the killer on film.
The killer who is known as ‘The Artist’ doesn’t like to leave loose ends and when he realises he has been seen, he is determined to kill Jake, “the only good witness is a dead witness”. So ensues a ‘game of cat and mouse’, the killer is hell bent on tracking down Jake and silencing him, permanently!
He has a kill list to work through- it’s made up of several lawyers who have been chosen to die. He takes pride in his work and wants to make the kills creative, artistic and memorable. The annoying journalist has just made it onto the list and is going to die very painfully.
With the help of his best friend Terrell Hayes, a plain clothes Police Inspector in the homicide division of the San Francisco Police Department- Jake investigates and reports on the killings, while also trying to stay alive. His military training, his dog Cody and a bit of Irish luck, are the only things that stand between him and the killer. But the killer is meticulous, well planned and always seems to be able to evade capture.
When you add an abusive and unhinged ex-fiancée, with a drinking problem and a penchant for snorting drugs; a sociopathic police Officer who uses their badge to bully, who can’t stand the sight of Jake and has a score to settle with him; a secret organisation with its own agenda; and an ex-military service dog with canine P.T.S.D- you find the story just ignites into an adrenaline inducing journey, full of unexpected twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat, devouring every word with bated breath.
From the conceptualization, to the skilled execution in recounting his story, Mr. Nolan has managed to incorporate quite a lot into this book; such a lot of dynamic, individual and fully developed characters and plenty of action- and this is only a portion of what this exceptional storyteller has been able to capture on the pages. He has accomplished all this in his own, unique style- producing a story that flows smoothly and seamlessly from one page to the next and captivating you from the first paragraph.
I wouldn’t change a thing about this book; I loved it all so much! It is a truly remarkable story and I wholeheartedly recommend reading it, you won’t be disappointed.

Book #2:
5 Stars

Vigilante Assassin is the superb second addition to the Jake Wolfe series by Mark Nolan. It is a very memorable, gripping and suspenseful read. This is a multidimensional story- with lots of action, drama, intensity and danger.
We once again team up with former marine Jake Wolfe and follow his lead, as this incredible story plays out. It is set a little over a month since the last story left off. Jake is no longer working at the news channel as a photojournalist- he isn’t completely sure what he wants to do now. He has something in the pipeline, but needs to wait to see if it will pan out. He is living on his friend’s boat, with his canine companion, Cody.
Lauren Stephens wakes to discover her husband is missing- with no trace of him to be found. Jake gets hired to try to find her husband Gene- but what he and Cody discover leads them down a dangerous and complicated path, full of intensely dangerous situations, all while they try to figure it all out. Lauren may not have known her husband as well as she thought she did and now she and her children are in grave danger. Jake may be a magnet for trouble, but he is also incredibly protective, especially of women, children and animals. So, he will do everything he can to protect them and keep her and the children out of danger.
This is a fast paced and exciting read with lots of twists and surprising developments. This is such an absorbing read, I ended up reading it in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down, I really need to know how the whole story played out!
The story is told from several (third person) POV’s, which adds an extra dynamic to the whole story.
The characters are so great- they are completely developed, fully realised characters with their own quirks, flaws and unique personalities. I especially loved how detailed and developed Cody’s (the dog) personality was- it’s this attention to detail that really sets this book apart from others in the same genre!

Book #3:
5 Stars

Killer Lawyer is the latest addition to the Jake Wolfe series by Mark Nolan. It is an incredibly clever, intense, gripping and suspenseful read. This has a complex, multi-layered storyline- with lots of action, drama, intrigue, humour, danger, tension, and mystery.
We once again team up with former marine Jake Wolfe and follow his lead, as all the excitement unfolds. Jake has earned his law degree, and has also been recruited to undertake dangerous, covert assignments on behalf of the government. His constant companion- trusty, highly intelligent, and loyal ex-war dog, Cody, live on a motor yacht owned by a wealthy friend.
When a deranged killer starts killing random targets on the streets on San Francisco, Jake and Cody are determined to hunt him down and eliminate the threat. But what happens when the killer decides to target Jake, Cody and all the people they love most in the world? This book really is worth the read to find out all the exciting details for yourself.
It is a fast paced story with lots of twists and surprising developments. This is such an absorbing read, I ended up reading it in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down, I really need to know how the whole story played out!
The story is told from multiple POV’s ( even Cody the dog gets a say), which gives a well-rounded perspective of the developments, and adds an extra dynamic to the whole story.

So, if you are looking for a story with a gripping, well written, interesting, and very absorbing read- then this is definitely the series for you!
The next book/s can’t come soon enough for me!

Thank you, Mr. Nolan!

Jake Wolfe Boxed set by Mark Nolan is a set of books that are gripping and enthralling and hard to put down. I read these books a few years ago and loved them just as much this go round. I love the danger and action but I also love the humour and I love that the stories are told in multiple POV;s. These books are cleverly written masterpieces and I love Marks work. He is a must read author and when all the books are in a one stop shop book set what could be better.

Dead Lawyers Don't Lie (Jake Wolfe #1) is an action-packed thriller. This gripping tale is one rollercoaster ride with lots of twists and turns you don’t see coming. It is a suspenseful thriller that is so engrossing that the end is upon you before you know it. As much as there is action galore and a barrel of suspense it is also funny. Jake and his best friend Terrell just crack me up. Not to mention Cody.

Jake Wolfe is ex-military, and also a photojournalist for local news. Whilst following a lead for digging up dirt on a high-profile lawyer, he witnesses his murder, putting himself in the path of the killer. What ensues is a game of cat and mouse as the killer is hell bent on tracking down Jake. But he is not the only one that wants to take Jake down, his ex druggie alcoholic fiancée is abusive and unhinged and a sociopath who is a police officer and a major bully also want a piece of the action. He has found an amazing woman but can he hang on to her?

Mark is a unique and dynamic storyteller and he packs a punch with his vivid vision and portrayal of fully developed characters and never-ending action.

Vigilante Assassin (Jake Wolfe #2) is the next amazing addition to the series is just as gripping and suspenseful as the first book with lots of action and danger, drama and thrills. Once again there are lots of twists and turns and you are thrown into the unknown and just have to hang on for dear life.

Jake Wolfe and Cody once again is drawn in to the danger that seems to follow him around. He is a good guy but cannot stand violence against others or those in need, including animals if he can do something about it. Jake will do everything in his power to keep them safe.

Lauren Stephens finds her husband is missing and calls in a security team to help locate him. When Jake and Cody follow along they discover a gruesome sight that causes Lauren to realise she did not know her husband at all. But this discovery leads to a dangerous and volatile situation and now she and her children are in extreme danger.

This fast paced read is completely enthralling and I read it in one sitting because it is so good that you don’t want to waste a minute in finding out what is going on.

Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe #3) is a very complex and very cleverly written gripping and suspenseful tale and the next book in this wonderful series. This story is told in multiple POV’s which gives us more of an insight to the characters and a multi layered dimension. The story is action packed and fast paced with the usual twist and turns that lead you astray. The story is intense and will have your heart racing one minute and have you laughing the next. The danger and the intrigue, the mystery and drama will have the pages falling one after the other as you race towards the finish line.

Jake Wolfe is a former marine, a lawyer, covert operative and a nice guy who always rubs people the wrong way without even trying but if you are ever in a bind him and his buddy, ex war dog, Cody are the ones you want covering your back. The race is on to stop a serial killer whose kills have no rhyme or reason. If not stopped no one is safe. Marks plots are complex yet simplistic in their threads in the web he has cleverly woven together. I am very much looking forward to the next book.

The Jake Wolfe series is one of my all-time favourites. The characters are hard not to fall in love with their own unique personalities and characteristics. Emotions run high when we see others in danger and the heart gets a good ‘ol pump.

I highly recommend this series to everyone and I can’t wait to see what they get up to next.

Very exciting, thrilling, can't put it down bundle of suspense!

Jake Wolfe Series, books 1-3, wads a very entertaining introduction to author Mark Nolan and is intriguing character Jake Wolfe and his dog Cody. Frankly, I don't know who is the main character, the dog or the man!

Jake Wolfe, is characterized as a quiet, wounded soul veteran of recent desert war. He fiercely protective of those he loves but his world view is skewed by war and injustice he has seen. Mark Nolan might have reached into the mind and heart of the man I love to create Jake or perhaps he knows war weary veterans like him. Whatever the case, I recognized and immediately fell in love with Jake Wolfe within minutes of meeting him in the first few pages of Dead Lawyers Don't Lie, book one in this box set. Jake reminds me of many of the tortured heroes encountered in the old detective genre like Mike Hammer. Or perhaps a newer character like Jack Reacher might be easier for a reader to relate to. Jake Wolfe is a rich and textured, multi-dimensional character. What truly demonstrates Mark Nolan's talent for character development is the way Jake continues to grow, becoming more self aware with each book. It is this self-reflection ,analysis and attempts to correct mistakes in his past that makes Jake Wolfe appear so real, so human and so fascinating to me.

Then there is Cody, the marine war dog, that becomes Jake's partner and constant companion. Mark Nolan has exhibited excellent research skills ,incorporating obscure study of animal behavior into the character of this remarkable service dog. Through Mark's words, I understood Cody's mind, his ability to communicate, the uncanny way he understood human speech, and his ability to instinctively to interpret and respond to a situation without commands. Some might accuse Mark Nolan of anthropomorhism but there has been studies published about animals like Cody. Cody's PTSD, his determination to maintain his warrior training and sensitivity to others , makes him a loveable character. As such, Cody became an intricate part of the story, another male protagonist rather than an animal support character. I could picture Cody in my mind as clearly as if he was standing before me or I was looking at a recent photograph.

The fact is all of the characters in Mark Nolan's Jake Wolfe Series are carefully crafted to blend and enhance the story. Each move, each thought, each word a character utters, is designed to further the plot along as though part of a perfectly choreographed dance. The action and the suspense has the reader holding their breath on the edge of their seat unable to move as Jake, Cody and friends encounter one danger after another.

Amazingly, there are no cliffhangers and each novel ends if not happily, at least successfully resolved, and the villain vanquished. Jake's methods are questionable but do yield results. And the way Jake manages to skirt the fine edge of the law, makes it difficult to predict the ending. Which meant I really had to hang on every word, and keep on reading to the very last page if I wanted to know how the mystery was resolved. And isn't that what the action, thriller genre is all about.

The icing on the cake is that the series is available on Kindle Unlimited. I am able to get my hands on the entire series without a wait and for no extra cost! Marvelous! Simply Marvelous!

Mark Nolan has given us a present and has packed the first three books in his Jake Wolfe series into one bundle box set! The set includes Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie, Vigilante Assassin, and Killer Lawyer. There is also a fourth book – San Diego Dead – that you need to get separate if you fall in love with the series like I did!
The first book, Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie, introduces us to Jake Wolfe who is a lawyer but who originally was not on the mysterious killer’s wealthy San Francisco lawyers kill list. He unfortunately happened to take is picture and so does the deadly game of cat and mouse start. The first book gives you a taste and you will get addicted as Mark Nolan is mixing drama, suspense, mystery, crime, military, flashbacks, sexy women … you name it and he has included it! Jake Wolfe is a military veteran who has a secret past and in the opening act he is working as a photo journalist for a local news channel! What a great way of stumbling into something that one would never want to stumble into, a murder! The writer also gives us Jake’s military dog Cody who is a character in his own rights and I think all of us will think that ‘I wish I had a dog like Cody’ after reading the book.
The second book, Vigilante Assassin, takes us deeper into the amazing world that Mark Nolan has created! Vigilante Assassin is a story filled with action and suspense and mystery … I loved the way the writer is spinning the story, it pulls us in and we feel we are next to the action taking place … I loved how Cody ‘talked’ and how much it all gave to the story, creating another layer … At times I felt though as if the way the writer had Jake speaking that it was too short but the more I got into the story, the more I grew comfortable with it and I felt that it actually added to the story … Not only do we hear Jake and Cody’s thoughts, we also ‘hear’ the other characters’ thoughts, what an intricate weave!
Killer Lawyer is the third book in Mark Nolan’s Jake Wolfe series and what a story it is! I have to say that the writing gets better and better with each book! The writer is a master of intense action thrillers and you are guaranteed a head spinning rollercoaster ride! You could read the story as a standalone but you would miss out of having met Jake and Cody and Sarah (Jake’s girlfriend who is a veterinarian) and seen how they began!
In Killer Lawyer our ex-marine lawyer turned Jake Wolfe with his war dog Cody are thrown into find out who is the serial killer who seems to be killing random people … These two get involved when one of Jake’s friends is killed so we are getting a story of revenge and survival and outsmarting of the killer! I loved complex story line and the interaction between the characters, the companionship and comradery among the men, the bond between Jake and Cody, the longing for peace and quiet and at the same time the need to step in and right the wrongs! AND add to this the alternating point of views, oh my, to be in the head of that evil killer … chills along your spine!
If you love a good suspense story that grabs you and doesn’t let go and has unforgettable characters then you’d better pick up the bundle!

The Jake Wolfe Series by Mark Nolan are a great collection for anyone who enjoys crime thriller books. The books follow Jake Wolfe and his retired war dog Cody. I would compare them along the lines of Michael Connelly. I would give the series a 5 star review, with the books geting better as the story progresses. They can be read as stand alone, but the characters overlap and I got invested. It is full of surprises, and does a great job developing the characters, their relationships together, as well as fully building their past.
Book 1- Dead Lawers Don't Lie is the story of a killer, known as The Artist, who is hired by a group of wealthy people to kill lawyers. He is creative in his methods, putting a lot of thought and creativity into each job. A photo journalist (and former Marine) Jake Wolfe, accidently captures the first murder on film, as well as a perfect shot of the killer. He turns the evidence over to his best friend Terrell, who is a homicide police officer, as well as to the media, which turns Jake into a target. The killer is enraged at Jake, and adds him to his kill list. Jake, his dog Cody, and his best friend Terrell, try to catch the killer, before he catches them.
Vigilante Assassin is book 2 in the Jake Wolfe Series. Jake and his retired war dog Cody assist in a multi agency investigation to find a missing husband, which quickly turns into something much bigger than just a missing person. I enjoyed this book more than the first, and give it a 5/5 star review. It is well written, and full of mystery and suspense. It kept me on the edge of my seat and wondering what will happen next. Jake is a character who lives by his own set of rules, and has no hesitation to kill when necessary. He has a soft spot for children and animals, which results in his being in being in dangerous situations. I highly recommend this book to anymore who enjoys thrilling suspense books.
Killer Lawyer is the third book in the Jake Wolfe series by Mark Nolan. Jake is a complex character, he is a lawyer by day, and an assassin by night. He works with the US Marshalls, and also alongside the SFPD. He also is a retired marine, and K9 handler, so he and his dog Cody chase down criminals. In this book, they are after a serial killer that is terrorizing the greater San Francisco area. Jake has a lot of connections that help him track the killer, including his best friend Terrell, who is part of SFPD and Jake used to be a photo journalist, so he has ties to the media as well. Overall its a very good book, with a good balance of psychology, law and suspense and drama. I love Mark Nolan's stories, and this did not disappoint.

I have followed and loved Mark Nolan’s thrillers with suspenseful twists in the past so I was super excited when I saw the first three books in a gripping new series was to set to release soon. I scooped it up and fell in love with the adventure and drama that is never in a shortage with these novels.

Book #1: Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie:
This novel kicks off a new Jake Wolfe series from Mark Nolan. I loved how this book literally hits you in the face with action from the very beginning and keeps you on the edge of your seat until that very last chapter. I felt like I got so much with this novel and I am super excited that there will be more to come in the series with these characters.

This starts off with Jake Wolfe, a military vet who is working as a photojournalist in the prime of his days. At the moment he is following a hot lead on a story that will thrust him into the life of a high ranking lawyer. His goal is to simply dig up some details for his story and instead witnesses the lawyers murder! From there the ride is wild and full of twists and turns that are completely unpredictable. I can’t wait to get my hands on book two!

Book #2: Vigilante Assassin:

This was such a jam packed and gripping read. Continuing the tales of Jake Wolfe in book two Vigilante Assassin, we find Jake hired to protect a mother whose husband goes missing, Lauren Stephens. Turns out the secrets her husband was hiding were a lot more volatile than she could have ever imagined and the lives of her and her children become greatly endangered. Things take turns that you won’t be able to predict and you will find yourself so immersed that the ending is before you know it and well past the bedtime you had hoped for. I can’t wait to see what will come about for Jake Wolfe in the next installment!

Book #3: Killer Lawyer:

Yes! This book was everything I had hoped it would be and then some! In Killer Lawyer we find the continuing story of Jake Wolfe and more of his dog Cody. Jake now has his law degree and is living his best life on a yacht. A case that will bring him into the direct path of a psycho serial killer that is ravaging the streets of San Francisco, takes you on a wild ride from the very beginning until the last page. I couldn’t figure this one out and I love when a book can do that for me! I sincerely can’t wait to read what will happen next!

The Jake Wolfe Series bundle Box set is books 1-3 of the Vigilante Justice Thriller series by Mark Nolan.

Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie is book one of the Jake Wolfe series. This book is suspenseful with major plot twists I didn’t see coming. Jake wants to leave his flawed past behind him but even he can’t ignore what he needs to do this time. How far will Jake have to go to protect the people he cares about when he accidentally stumbles upon the identity of a murderer?

Vigilante Assassin by Mark Nolan is book two of the Jake Wolfe series. This book can be read as a standalone or you can read book one first. As soon as I started reading this book, I was sucked in to the suspense and mystery in the story. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it.

Jake Wolfe is not your average character. He does his own thing, plays by his own rules. However, that doesn't mean he isn't protective of those that need it.

Lauren Stephens thought everything she had was perfect. Until she wakes up to her husband having vanished. This is when Lauren and Jake’s story intersects and their lives become intwined. Jake finds a lot of dangerous information while investigating Gene’s disappearance and has to protect Lauren and her children from what he finds.

What will Jake’s investigation turn up?

If you want a story you can escape into for awhile this is definitely is the book for you!

Killer Lawyer by Mark Nolan is book three of the Jake Wolfe series. This book grabbed my attention from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down.

Jake has some secrets. Now, his city is racked with fear and he’s being framed. Jake just wants peace but instead, he is investigating random shootings to determine who is behind them. Will Jake be able to end the shootings?

This book is full of suspense and keeps you hanging on to find out what happens. The characters are developed well and you root for them the whole time. It was a great read!

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set: (Books 1-2-3) Vigilante Justice Thriller Series
By Mark Nolan
5 out of 5 stars

This is an amazing boxset. It includes three books that once you start reading are very hard to put down. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Jake Wolfe and his war dog Cody. Jake is a man who is resourceful and has been well trained as an assassin. In these stories, he finds himself a target by killers and helping a woman and her children when they are targeted by criminals. I enjoyed that his war dog Cody also assists him. Cody is a dog that is very intelligent, and I loved reading about him. What does the future hold for Jake and Cody? Read these books to find out. These stories had me on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next. There is action and danger around every corner. Jake is someone who is intelligent and when challenged or becomes a target is not hesitant about breaking the rules in order to survive. I also enjoyed reading about the characters that help and interact with Jake. The books are very detailed, and I felt like I was right there with Jake and Cody. Don’t miss out on a box set that is thrilling and addictive. Highly recommended.

This box set brings together the first three books in Mark Nolan’s Jake Wolfe series – Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie, Vigilante Assassin and Killer Lawyer. The books are real page turners that keep you on the edge of your seat as Wolfe gets himself in and out of trouble trying to ensure justice is served.
I particularly like that the stories switch between various viewpoints, including the “bad guys”. This removes some of the mystery but also fleshes out those characters and their motivations. It also increases the tension when you know what they’re planning to do and have to wait and see if Wolfe is able to stop them in time.
Cody is one of my favourite characters – a retired military dog who Wolfe adopts after Cody’s previous owner dies. As a former dog handler, Wolfe has a special connection with Cody and the pair make a great team!
For me, this is a five-star collection. It’s great having the three books together so you don’t have to wait before starting the next (well, until you need book 4…). The books are fairly long, so this would be good to bring on a holiday where you need plenty of reading material to keep you going. I’d recommend it to fans of action and crime books who like dogs and heroes who aren’t afraid of bending the rules.

Book 1
Wow what an adventure! Absolutely love Jake Wolfe!! He’s funny, smart, good looking, according to himself and so easy to either love or hate, depending on what you might be hiding. When wealthy lawyers around the city of San Francisco start dying, it is up to Jake and his photojournalist investigative skills to find the killer, known as The Artist, before the next person killed is Jake himself.
Book 2
The excitement and danger starts from the very first chapter with the mystery starting on the very first page! Jake Wolfe is our main character and is back doing what he does best; protecting those in need of being protected, chasing the bad guys and making the cops mad.
Book 3
Reading this story was like welcoming back an old friend. Mark Nolan easily brings Jake Wolfe to life. There is action, suspense and even a little romance in this story. Nolan takes us into the mind of not only Jake but also the psychopath killer.

Overall this book set is filled with adventure, danger and some laughter and a touch of romance. Worth it!

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set (Jake Wolfe #1-3) by Mark Nolan

4out of 5 stars

Jake Wolfe series bundle box by Mark Nolan is three books in one. This is the only series that I have read by Mr. Nolan and its great but defiantly different from my usual read. I really enjoyed reading about the main characters of Jake Wolfe and his war dog Cody.

Jake is an Attorney by day, assassin by night. He is a young lawyer who leads a secret life. He was trained by the CIA, he now wants peace and quiet, practicing law and living on a boat with his war dog, but of course this doesn’t happen. He gets pulled into all sorts of trouble will he be-able to get out of it? Will he find out who is causing the trouble, or will he still be on the hooks for said trouble?
I will just tell you this buckle up for a wild ride as Jake Wolfe and his exceptionally intelligent dog, Cody, rush into action in these page-turning thrillers in Mark Nolan’s bestselling series….
I highly recommend this book/series….

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set: (Books 1-2-3) Vigilante Justice Thriller Series by Mark Nolan - Review by Gail Guerrero

Five Stars

These books were too good to put down. Every page was full of something intriguing. The characters alone made the story good. There is so much you learn about Jake. The author really throws it all together in a beautiful package. I didn’t know if I would like these stories. The author surprised me with how well they were written and how he kept it interesting and not too detailed. I felt like every book gave you so much more than what you expected. Jake is an all around good guy with a lot of bad boy in him. I read these books in one sitting because I was that invested and involved. I was grabbed by the throat and hog tied to these stories. We all get tired and ready to settle down. So when Jake decided to be a better person life got in the way. The mystery and adventure aspects were my favorite. I couldn’t really guess who was doing what. I also liked that the author gave Jake humor. Overall I 100% advise you to get these books.

Jake Wolfe Series
Bundle Boston Set
Books 1-3
Killer Lawyer
Jake Wolfe
Book 3
By Mark Nolan
☆☆☆☆☆
Romance Suspense and Cody. If you love a well written suspense story this one's for you.Not for those under 18, due to adult theme.

Jake Wolfe is someone you do not want after you. He is a lawyer by day and assassin by night. He really just wants to be left alone with his dog and girlfriend. But someone is always ready to change things for Jake. He is framed, and it is he who must prove his innocence. All the while protecting his loved ones and friends. It's a race against time.

I love reading Mark Nolan‘s books. Everyone of his characters play a hot part in his story. My favorite thing about his books are, that each of his main characters tell you what they are thinking throughout the story. Cody is still my favorite character! I love his way of thinking. This is a fast paced, quick page turning story. I can't wait to see where Mark Nolan takes Jake and Cody next! Job well done!!

Book 1
Wow what a great start to the series and the introduction of Jake was great. Following Jake on his journey to find the truth I was suprised at every turn wanting to know more with each page. The emotions you go through with Jake and Cody are immense.

Book 2
We are back with Jake on Cody on another misson. Yet again Mark Nolan drags you into this wonderful world kicking and screaming because you want to know more. Cody has got to be one of my favorite characters in this amazing series seeing the emotions and tribulations he goes through for his alpha.  Mark's descriptive writing to a situation is amazing i feel like i see thw world through Jake eye's more through each chapter. I love his relationships with Terrell.

Book 3
With this book Mark has sent chillis through my spine. How will Jake ans Cody handle this situation. As always Mark's descriptive of a situation is on point.

This Vigilante Justice box set contains the first three books from this series. Reading these was my first experience with this author. I was not disappointed. This box set is a great way to spend a day binge reading.

Jake Wolfe is a multi-layered character that keeps you guessing. His knack for attracting trouble leads you on great adventures as you turn the pages. These stories are full of danger, intrigue, suspense, and even some emotional moments. The cemetery scene with Cody in the first book gets you right in the feels. To keep things from getting too serious, there are also some humorous moments played out through banter dialog between Jake and his friends.

The stories approach things from several viewpoints, which gives you a great overall picture of how the characters connect together and their motivations. I liked how even the dog got a viewpoint. You don’t see that often.

If you love action-packed, edge-of-your-seat thrillers, this is the series for you.

All in all I enjoyed the Jake Wolf Series by Mark Nolan.

I was whisked away in the first few chapters of book one Dead Lawyers Don't Lie. It definitely sets the stage and tone for the remaining two books: Vigilante Assassin and Killer Lawyer.

Character development is important to any story - especially a thriller series like this. I almost didn't want it to end just as much as I wanted to see how Nolan would tie it all up on a bow.
There are definitely points within the story, where as the reader you start questioning the amount of detail Nolan focuses on. However, it is definitely worth the read.

With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the POV switching that took place - from Jake Wolf, to a couple passing by, etc. It helped completely immerse the reader into the story. You felt like you were right there with Jake Wolfe, almost like a shadow throughout this thrilling ride. Nolan has a way with using words to almost quite literally bring the story to life.

"Vigilante Justice Thriller Series" features Jake Wolfe and his dog Cody (and don't we all love a good book with a good dog?) and the many adventures they take while taking care of business.

Each book could be read as a stand-alone (I read 2 and 3 before book 1) but read in order is a treat. There are common threads and relationships that flow so well through each story. Each character is well developed including Cody. Cody a good boy and a great companion to Jake. We even get to hear his thoughts at times.

This is a series that is filled with suspense and fast paced action, at times I was reading as fast as I could because I just had to know what happened next. Sometimes the outcome what not what I expected.

I absolutely recommend this series, especially when it is packaged as a box set. What a treat.

5 Star Read!

I am a sucker for a good box set and this one definitely did not disappoint! From book one page one, you were captivated by Jake Wolf and his companion, Cody, an ex-military dog. (I thought Cody was a genius addition to the story, for sure)

Jake Wolfe spends all 3 books in the box sets as the antagonist doing a variety of things that lead the reader through a series of twists and turns that leave you wonder where Nolan is going to take them and Jake next. It is so hard to put each book down in order to do things like go to work because you just want to know what is going to happen next.

By the end of the third book, you have a really great sense of who Jake is and what he is about. Mark Nolan leaves you wanting more and more of Jake Wolfe and his investigations! I look forward to reading many more books by Mark Nolan in the future, what a talented author!

The Jakes Wolfe series by Mark Nolan is an exciting and fast paced series that will definitely keep you reading from beginning to end.
This box set includes the first three books of the series and, if you haven’t read them already, it is a great way to introduce yourself to it. The series follows Jake Wolfe, the intriguing and utterly fascinating protagonist who is sure to draw you in to the books and not let you go.
Each of these books had a great story. None of them relied on one of the others to keep the pace and developed. They are all great books on their own. Once I had started this series I really struggled to put it down. The stories were all so exciting – the story lines were amazing and I love reading about Jake!
For any fan of this genre I would definitely recommend giving these books ago!

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set (Books 1-3)
By Mark Nolan
4 stars

This is a fantastic collection of stories – I love Jake I think he is an awesome lead character, he is a determined person and very meticulous in what he does. I love his ‘relationship’ with Cody! I love the way people form such close bonds with their dogs. The author has created such a multi-dimensional story that I just couldn’t put it down; he kept me guessing the whole way through with his rich detailed writing full of twists and turns. The multiple points of view in the story give for a full rounded read and the characters, as expected, were well developed.
Each of the books in this box set see’s Jake (and not forgetting Cody) tackle some interesting cases! They are all definitely worth a read!

I had an opportunity to read the Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set: (Books 1-2-3) Vigilante Justice Thriller Series by Mark Nolan, a while back and I passed them up. Boy was that a big mistake! These books were excellent. The characters are so well described that you feel like these are real people you know. The story plots are interesting and unique. The language is beautiful and very well written. It was a joy reading them. There is love, there is anger, there is edge of your seat suspense, and they are packed with action. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Jump on these books, they are well worth the read.

Jake Wolfe series bundle box set by Mark Nolan filled with five-star reads. This box set includes book one to three in the series and each one just gets better than the last. When we get introduced to Jake Wolfe in the first novel, and what an introduction, as soon as he is on the page, he steals your attention. You will get spun into the story as you read, you will feel Cody rubbing against your leg to get your attention, you will be there with them helping them search for a killer. This is a gripping series and one that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Don’t let this one pass you by.

This is an incredible boxset of 3 books full of adventure and action.

Jake Wolfe and his faithful marine dog Cody get caught up in some wild adventures.

Jake is a retired marine as is his dog Cody. Cody still carries all his marine training so is the perfect companion for Jake as trouble always seems to come looking for him.

The 3 stories in the boxset will keep you gripped from the first page as Jake and Cody investigate different crimes and start their own vigilante justice to catch the people committing them. Its not all plain sailing and these stories are full of twists and turns to keep you guessing and wondering if maybe this time Jake has pushed his luck to far.

I give Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set: (Books 1-2-3) Vigilante Justice Thriller Series by Mark Nolan, 5 stars.

I previously read a later book in the series a while ago, and I did not remember just how good these books are. I was yet again blown away! Each and every book in this set is excellent and I literally could not put the books down. I had to stop myself between each book, just so I remember to do things like eat and sleep. Jake and Cody are such wonderful characters. Yes, Cody makes this series as excellent as it is. But Jake is also great. He is a real person, scarred and damaged from war, but he must help people in need. I love how Cody has a point of view, as well as the people in these books.

There is so much in each of these besides the unique story each book holds, you will go on a rollercoaster of emotions and you better keep some tissues handy. The progression as each book goes on is done well too. Each repeating character grows from book to book. Overall I find this a fantastic collection and recommend it to those who like a strong male character and his dog in wonderful thriller books.

When the dog started “thinking” I started an eye roll

It starts off quite promising. I began to think that the writing is a bit sophomoric but kept going thinking it might get better since it’s an interesting group of characters and plots but when the dog started “thinking” to himself like a human, that did it for me…and I’m a dog person who can do anthropomorphism with the best of ‘em. This style of writing reminds me of fairy tales or children’s books. On the plus side the writer shares lots of great tidbits and in depth information on a variety of topics. I really wanted to like this but the style of writing rubs me the wrong way.

Real Page Turner.

I really enjoyed these books, and look forward to reading more in the series.
Loved reading Cody's perspective. I have often wished I could know what a dog is thinking. Sometimes I would forget that you can't know what a dog is thinking, because the author portrayed what a dog might think so well.
The only reason I did not give the books a five star rating, is that there needed to be more breaks in the action. For example in the second book all these major things seemed to happen in one day. Our hero was kidnapped, drugged, beaten, took down a drug ring and multiple other things with no down time.
