Rate this book
Can she resist the man…or is he the solution?

Softhearted Ilara is shocked when Sheik Jabril of Piara, her country’s worst enemy, walks into her office. What was even more shocking was when he tells her that her country, her precious Ditra, is in danger. In order to prove him wrong, she travels with him to Ditra, only to discover that things are worse than either of them knew. With the dangerous but alluring Sheik Jabril at her side, Ilara tries to figure out a way to stop her destructive uncle. Unfortunately, the only option is so outrageous, she rejects it immediately. But…it really is the only way!

Be seduced by this story of passion and hope, despair and excitement!

USA Today™ best-selling author Elizabeth Lennox writes contemporary romance novels featuring sheiks, business tycoons, royalty, and other sexy rich men. Her male lead characters are smart, driven and determined, but can still be sensitive and vulnerable. Elizabeth’s female lead characters come from a variety of backgrounds. They are strong, intelligent and independent, while still feminine and caring.

Although she wanted to be a romance novelist since the eighth grade, that dream only became a reality for her in 2009 and a full time job in 2012. Along the way, she received a BS in History and held different jobs in the real estate, government consulting, and financial industries. All during that time, though, she was always writing, using her personal experiences, dreams, and travels throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean as backdrops for her stories. To date, she has written over eighty books and sold over 5.1 million copies. Her free novellas have been downloaded over 8 million times since 2013.

Elizabeth lives in Virginia with her husband and two children. Their home is just outside of Washington, D.C., and many of her novels are set in this area.

Really good start to a new series. One of those books that once you start you can’t put it down. Princess Ilara has been lied to by her corrupt uncle who has destroyed Ditra her country. Sheik Jabril is the ruler of the Piara the neighboring country and he is going to help Ilara save the country and he will marry her to do so!.

Spoiler for Book 2 of the series..This was a very good book. It was full of heartache (for the country), intrigue, romance, passion, some humor. The only real issue I had with it was that I thought it should NOT be the first book in the series. As I read the synopsis for book 2, it talked about THIS book's main male character going missing...which THIS book explains in full. So why is it the first book and not the second?

Love thy enemy

A sheikh story is always full of drama and this one no less when enemies fall deeply in love.
Watch how both Jabril and Ilara try to hide their true feelings from one another.

Like how this first series started with slight introduction of the rest of the H- Alphas. Looks like it’s going to be an interesting series

Great

I liked this story because it is all about a young woman who is left on her own with just a distant uncle telling her lies about stuff back home.
