Very interesting book, easy to consume and gives options to see what philosophers you could be interested in.

Jeremy Stangroom is a British writer, editor The Philosophers’ Magazine. He has written and edited several philosophy books. This is an easy reading introduction to philosophy. As the title suggests, a 500 word summary of 50 philosophers. Obviously not in depth and not to be compared with Bertrand Russell. For the more philosophically minded it is a quick refresher course with the chance to pick up a few new ideas. Nice bed time reading.

An easy to follow book with significant characters. Might be useful as a starting point for those who want to do further reading in philosophy and psychology.

A coffee table book. Hard to understand choice of why these particular ideas and thinkers have been chosen in each section. Also I felt that the ideas could be explained way better especially for the format of the book. Wouldn't base my studies on this, mainly entertainment value.
