An ancient feud. A tainted spell. A murder that's too close to home.
Tempest Crypt is forced into action when Auntie Queenie and her gang of witch biker babes are under the spotlight when one of them is killed.
Was a demon involved? A curse? Or something much more sinister?
Tempest and Wiggles are on the case. Hunting the bad guys, eating too much cake, and running rings around the angels.
When a second murder takes place, and the angels think they've solved everything, the mystery takes a dark turn.
With Auntie Queenie's life at risk, and the killer still on the loose, Tempest has a lot to lose. While juggling relationship problems with her sister, Aurora, and keeping her business going, she feels pulled in too many directions.
Who is targeting Auntie Queenie and her gang? And will Tempest find out before they strike again?

This is an entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters with an entertaining storyline. I am which who comes from a long line of witches lives in a small supernatural town with a magical barrier around it. The barrier is there for the most part to keep evil out. Some humans on occasion come to the town for tourist reasons. For the most part the town is all supernatural though. There’s a family of witches who guard a demon prison that resides underneath the town cemetery. One of these witches she’s one of two daughters and his family. She is a rogue Demon Hunter. She goes outside of the town into the human world to chase down rogue demons. She has a unique skill and ability to capture escaped demons. She then returned them to the local police in her supernatural town. The police also happen to be angels which is called angel force. Once they process him they then turn them over to the family to put into the prison. There are mini adventures inside and outside of the town with a family or friends her manager hell hound dog that talks and so much more. Very entertaining and it sometimes a bit dark and then other times funny series. Check it out
Terrific. Another great read but just wish that Toby would get his dues. A wonderful plot with enough red herrings to confuse and confound the reader. Great characters that have grown in stature as the series progresses. A reunion of the biker witch gang has been planned and all are happy to be reunited until one of the middle aged witches is found dead. Was it a demon as the death suggested? Or was it a more human aspect? As she investigates, with no help from the angels, she starts to uncover old wounds and secrets. That sends her to seek out Toby, who uses magic against her and steals some of her hair. Now with one of the witches under suspicion everyone relaxes. But she still has doubts. When the suspected witch ends up dead is it suicide or murder? Can she get to the bottom of the mystery? Does it have anything to do with the past? Will she find out?
I'm a bit done with the old age references on 55 years olds
First the conflicting backstory on Wiggles, then the forgotten reference on Merri and Axel. BUT the constant digs on a 55 year old being over the hill and ancient is ridiculous. The reference that Toby could be Aurora's father is so asinine. If she was 20 and he 55 then he would have been 15 years old when she was born. The author needs to keep better records on what she writes and stop insulting people 50+ years old. I'm 59 Mountain bike weekly, a red belt in TKD and live on 15 acres of well maintained property with buildings, 2 fish ponds and multiple flower and vegetable gardens. We, older folks don't sit on our bums ringing our hands or hobbling around our homes.
This is the fourth book in this series. In this one Auntie Queenie is hosting a get-together of a biker gang that was all women. Things go wrong when one of them gets murdered and the trouble doesn't stop there. The Angel Force is up to their usual ineffective investigations. Wiggles is up to his usual never-ending search for food.
Frank gets to play an important part in the story. We also find out about the Magic Council and what kind of dirty deeds it can get up to.
I enjoyed the story as I have the previous three books.
These aren't great books. They suffer the same annoyances of many cozies. Why is it that the main character has to be the one to solve the mystery. Not her job! But, okay, it's not the worst conceived plot I ever saw. Why she doesn't send the dog for help like she did in the previous book? I don't know...I guess it is called a plot device. Good enough I keep reading them, but likely never going to be a favorite, five-star series.
Tempest’s Aunt Queenie and her witch biker gang decide to have a reunion back in town, but it all doesn’t turn out all fun and games. Someone is out to kill and Aurora’s new boyfriend is out to enchant her into marriage. The Angel Force may not like the way Tempest and Wiggles gets things done, but it gets done.
Tempest has her hands full when her aunt's old witch biker gang shows up for a reunion. Things really start getting dicey when on of the visiting witches is murdered. The Angel Force begins investigating, as ineffective as usual, leaving Tempest to solve the murder. Full of action and fun, I loved it!
This series has completely won me over. I love every book and they always are a great and fun. This mystery was an inside job and it took a while to come to the conclusion but it was good and it was a great book.
Another wonderful murder mystery, full of angels that are determined that they can solve it...they get a little closer this time! I love the characters in this series and the storylines. Great books!
I’m at such an intersection on this series. On one hand - quick easy read with some cute plot elements. In the other hand, some of the characterizations and actions in the series are, to me, almost at a “jump the shark” level.
Well, this mystery took me totally by surprise. I worked it out when Tempest did. Wiggles just cracks me up…the whole snake, stick, hole thing…omg! Loved it!
