An escape attempt ends in disaster and our hero is saved by a feral tribe. Plus we learn more about the genesis of the family and the rest of the island's inhabitants and it seems pretty Lovecraftian.

The protagonist narrowly escapes capture and collides with a new freakish family that resemble a pack of wild dogs.

There was some good world building in this volume. My only big critique would be the pretty unbelievable amount of harm that our main cast is incurring and yet they aren’t dying? Is it the island’s magic or bad plot?

I am SUPER interested in whatever relic was unearthed in the mine. Junji Ito vibes here for real.
