I have read mountains of medical textbooks throughout my career, but this is now ranked in the top 3. What originally brought me to find this book was my years in the field, constantly referencing Mayo Clinic for its easy to understand and informative resources. When I found this book, I just had to have it. It covers almost every different condition and its accompanied treatment, divided by the affected body system, to raising healthy children, mental health, naturopath, and hollistic treatment options, to basically anything else that a medical or healthcare professional could need to access. Given, it is not incredibly detailed on things like pharmacology, but it gives good overviews of the types of topics. Loved it and highly recommend!

Disclosure:
I get this Edition as a reference for all health problems that happens to humanity, It is a sort of encyclopedia with medical entries, and quite understanding quality. I own a Paperback version of it, in French.

Overview:
The Book is a sort of a big medical reference with alphabetical entries. Organized in accordance with each situation. It contains some recommendations and steps to not panic, how to deal with such hard situation and how to prevent person from being afraid from such hard situations. The book discusses human life situation including Birth, Youth, Old-hood and Death. After these entries the Book states entries of each Human organ with a list of all the diseases that may undergo through it. At the bottom, there are Illustration that take into account all the aspects of Human physics, with colored illustration to each Organ.

Positive and Negative Aspects:
I won't go on details to tell about the good and the bad inside the Encyclopedia, Otherwise I would appreciate the manner that each problem is handled, there is a description of the side effects of the disease they are speaking of, and they tell you the most effective medicines for it if possible. If there is no solution they may tell you to have a visit to the doctor if things go awry. Personally it was a nice attempt from Mayo Clinic workers to have such proper relation with the Public and get near them even in the most crucial moments. Speaking of Negatives, I would said none, because the Language mostly used in the book is medical and Technical, there is no such poetic language to criticize, no decision to be hold against and Nothing bad at all.

My Personal Reaction:
Personally I use this book as a medical reference for every situation I encounter. It is very useful and easy to get to every entry you need. I Love the simplicity of Language and the easy style for describing, the nice quality for illustrations. It was all nice and clean. that's why I put 5 stars over the Rating block of it.

Recommendations:
This book is very crucial for every living human, At least through it, one would get an idea of how his body working. and How organs are giving their function, and How person should care about their bodies. It is nice to have it wherever you go.
