Estes Park, Colorado: picturesque mountains, charming shops, a cozy bookstore and bakery… and murder.
Savage Sourdough: Book 4
For Winifred Page and her devoted corgi, Watson, the puzzle pieces of life are falling into place as they settle into their home in the Colorado mountains. Surrounded by family and friends, Fred begins to relax into the charm and beauty of being the owner of a bookshop. All of that is put on hold when she finds a dead body in the Cozy Corgi bakery.
Scornful Scones: Book 5
Tourist season is about to begin, and the lovely weather has Fred and her corgi sidekick, Watson, leaving the comfort of the Cozy Corgi Bookshop and Bakery to reluctantly attend a celebration at the Black Bear Roaster coffee shop. But a chill of uncertainty settles over Fred when a choking death doesn’t seem so accidental—despite the dry, hazardous scones.
Chaotic Corgis: Book 6
Winifred and her quirky corgi, Watson, celebrate the Fourth of July picnicking with family and friends—of the human and four-legged variety. As summer blooms with romance for Fred and Sergeant Branson Wexler, murder lurks around the corner. When relationships are tested and secrets exposed, Fred might lose more than one person she loves.
(This anthology includes a recipe for delectable sourdough bread, scones, and human-friendly dog treats.)

The plots in these three stories were a bit more developed. The characters in these stories, as always, are endearing and fun. Looking forward to reading more of the series.
I love seeing what Fred and Watson do in each book. I usually don't read series one after another but have done a pretty good job of doing just that with these last 6 books. I have the next 3 waiting for me. Keep up the good work. I love these two and their quirky friends and relatives.
This book is Collection Two, consisting of Books 4-6 of Mildred Abbott's Cozy Corgi Mysteries series. I absolutely love this series and all of the characters, whether they're good or bad. However, my favorite characters are Watson (our sweet, adorable, but grumpy cozy mascot), Winifred (Fred), Leo, and even though I love all of Winifred's family members, the one who draws me in is her Uncle Percival. He's such a drama queen, and I LOVE him. Each mystery is well written, bring both settings and characters alive. I recommend this book, as well as every single book in this 20+ book series, to everybody out there who loves to read mysteries, meet interesting and well-developed characters, and adores a grumpy, sweet corgi who lets his utter affection for certain cast members be known. Be sure to check out the recipes at the end of each novel from Katy's bakery. I gave this collection a 5 star rating.
I received a copy for free via freebooksy, and this is my voluntary honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading these sweet cozy mysteries. It’s always wonderful to be able to read and enjoy the story and also get the laugh out loud at a few times along the way. I m truly sorry to hear that your sweetheart of a pet has passed on. I will certainly miss him if you were to remove him from your stories!!! Thanks for letting his memory stick around
Fred and Watson continue to nail peeps and protect the town
Watch Fred's thought processes as she considers the possibilities and finally figures out who caused mayhem in her little town. Of course, she receives a little help from friends, neighbors and critters. Fred matures in these books and decides what kind of relationship she might be looking for. Recommended
I love a good mystery and add a smart cute dog and I’m all in! The on again off again relationship with Fred and Branson got pretty tiresome! And the fact that Leo was 7 years older in one book and 5 in another well......lol... I’ve read books 1-6 and I Can’t wait to read more!
Three more fun episodes in this series. I have managed to read the entire 6 books for free. Volume 1 I bought for free, volume 2 I borrowed from Amazon. I like the characters and improbable mysteries so much I am now going to have to purchase volume 3. Still a good bargain for light entertaining pandemic reading.
Love these simple mysteries. I've just had minor surgery and they were ideal reading during the recovery. As a dog lover I appreciate the four- legged characters, especially Watson, Fred's eccentric corgi. And No. 6 pleased me because of Fred's recognition that although she cared for Branson, he wasn't right for her. Finally a grown up response.

Fred owns the Cozy Corgi Bookstore in Estes, CO. Watson is her beloved dog and companion. Together the move through a full life of friends and family and solving murders. Fun, quirky characters and storytelling by the author. Recommend Series.
As a Corgi lover of long standing I really appreciate the nuances you include about Watson. The mysteries are provoking and challenging. Well done. Thanks for some great reads.
The Cozy Corgi books are such fun to read. They are so well-written I've become totally immersed in the town and it quirky residents! Highly recommend all these books!
A great set of three, now have my wife reading the series. We are owned/ herded/ administered by a Pembroke, and know the personality… like having Watson present.
Enjoying the character development and yup, saw that coming from almost book one. However, what a freakin' twist at the end of book 6...so now I have to buy more.
