3 Cowboys for the Bride is short focused primarily on sexual intimacy over characters, it has simple enough plot. The girl has three best friends, agrees to marry one, decides she loves all three, runs from her wedding (to one of said best friends), convince three best friends into a polyandrous relationship. Essentially Nikki love Cody, Bobby and Luke, they love her. It's about getting to what works for them, regardless of societal judgement (ie the core of reverse harem).
Loretta is far and above the best character in this book. Loretta is the heroine Nikki's aunt. Nikki's men are the strong and slightly emotionally repressed Luke, the bookish and charismatic Cody and Bobby the peacekeeper of the group. Loretta was disowned by her family for her own unconventional relationship with two men. She alone understands what Nikki is going through and what it's going to take for her to get and keep her men. Loretta is so insightful and funny. She stands up to the men, comforts her niece and is willing to whatever she has to keep Nikki safe.
It's not a bad book it you want to check out for a while. There were some cringe-worthy scenes that I forced myself to skim read. The characters were decent but for a man left at the alter Luke forgave his fiance easily. But for me Loretta dominates and it's brilliant to see an older woman from a poly relationship mentoring a heroine.
As a side note I appreciated the previews at the back especially Pleasured By Her Guardsmen which is now on my to-read list.

3 Cowboys for the Bride is the first book in Pepper Swan’s Naughty Cowboy Romance series. Ms. Swan introduces readers to Niki, the female lead and Luke, Cody, and Bobby, the three male leads. She pens an entertaining romance with a twist—a polyamorous relationship. I appreciate Ms. Swan’s mastery at creating dynamic characters. Her lead characters are damaged who find love and healing through each other. I loved Aunt Lorretta; she is a delightful secondary character. It is great to see how they all grow as this story unfolds. These characters are realistic and likeable. I appreciate Ms. Swan’s use of conversational and internal dialog. Through this literary device readers get to see these characters dreams, weaknesses and discover their backstories. I liked the way she respectfully handled this menage relationship. I enjoyed this quick read and am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

Loved Nikki!!
Bobby, Cody, Luke, and Nikki were best friends that grew up together. On her wedding day, Nikki left Luke. She couldn't go through with it because of her feelings for Bobby and Cody. She couldn't and wouldn't choose between them. She went to her Aunt Loretta to figure out what to do next. They followed.
Aunt Loretta gave them the space to work out their issues.

This has steamy sex and genuine feelings.

I can only imagine getting stood up at the altar and then finding out she wanted to be with me and my 2 best friends but thst is what happened to Luke. But I believe that you can love more than one person.

Cheating fiance
The book had a happy ending but I couldn't help but feel bad for poor Luke. He not only gets left at the altar, but his fiance has been messing around with his 2 best friends all along.

Not my cup of tea
I’m all for reverse harem books but I don’t like cheating so this book bothered me. The h didn’t go about any of this the right way and I felt she was selfish and didn’t take the guys feelings into consideration especially Luke.

This story was "meh" for me. I didn't hate it but I was happy it was done. While I loved the three cowboys, the bride left me cold. While it was certainly steamy....I found myself not interested in those parts at all.
