One More Story!

Mommy is done reading a bedtime story to Little Brown Bunny, but this cute cottontail is all ears and wants to hear just one more. Daddy, Granny, and Grandpa all take turns reading at Little Brown Bunny's bedside. They read until there are no stories left, but this hoppity hare still isn't ready to sleep.
The next day Little Brown Bunny has a wonderful idea—he will make his own super storybook. It will have lots of words and pictures and it will last all night long. It takes Little Brown Bunny all day, but with help from his animal friends he finally finishes. Now if only…yawn…he had the energy to read it….

With adorable animals and teddy-bear soft illustrations, this cozy story is one to share with little balls of energy who are not quite ready to be tucked in.

Some words are in italics to add emphasis which can show children the effects of certain words being highlighted. There is a focus on the characters in some aspects of the book due to their being no background. The story doesn't have any frames in the pictures which shows that lots is happening. The little rabbit wants more stories which is something parents can also relate too. The rabbit makes his own story so that it lasts ages. However rabbit falls asleep before reading his own book.

The baby bunny always wants one more book at bedtime.
So, he spends all day making a super long book that will take all night to read. When the first story he writes is too short, he visits all his friends to get suggestions for stories they like. He assembles everything into a ginormous book.
When it's time to read it, though, he falls asleep.

A baby bunny always wants just one more story before bedtime and so he decides to write his own ‘longest story ever’. A class could use this text to explore the writing process and produce their own class book of short stories or poems.

So cute! I love the little bunny so much. It's about a little bunny wanting to prolong bedtime with reading lots of books. Then gets the idea to make their own book with the help of their friends. The ending made me chuckle. Adorable.

My kids are exactly the rabbit in this book so they're thrilled to learn that there's someone just like them- always asking for more and more books! Perfect for bookworms, and for encouraging kids to write. A great portrayal of lovely and caring adults and family too. Recommended!

SUMMARY: Little Brown Bunny can't get enough of books. At bedtime, Mommy reads to him until she gets tired and Daddy takes over. Grandma and Grandpa Bunny take a turn as well, but none of the books are enough for Little Bunny. The next day he decides to write his own super long story. But when he sits down to read to his stuffed friends, the book isn't long enough. Mommy Bunny suggests that Little Bunny go to his friends to get more story ideas for his book. Little Bunny writes down all the stories into one "super-duper storybook."

ILLUSTRATIONS: The illustrations are incredibly adorable. They are large for the youngest readers and full of bright colors. I love the many cute details like the book titles on his friends' shelves, the adorable teeth on his red dinosaur, and the wolf having tea with three stuffed piggies. And oh, the facial expressions of Little Brown Bunny! I just want to squeeze him and hug him for being so adorable!

REVIEW: Even though I do not believe the family should have catered to Little Brown Bunny by reading every book they own for bedtime, I still loved this story. I loved it because Little Bunny can't get enough of books (and this reminds me of myself!). I loved it because Little Bunny decided to write his own book. And when he ran out of ideas, he asked for help from his book loving friends. I also loved how much love and family closeness was portrayed throughout the book. His whole family encourages his love for books, his mom helps him in his creative endeavors, and there were big hugs from Daddy wolf to Little Wolf. And when the book was complete, Little Bunny's whole family stood around the bed, ready to listen to his story. This is an all around wonderful book for encouraging a love for reading and writing for young children.

AGE RECOMMENDATION: AGES 3-7

This book has the cutest, most adorable illustrations I've ever seen! I love the looks on all of the animals' faces! And the premise of the story is too cute as well. Little Brown Bunny loves his bedtime stories. He makes his parents and grandparents read them to him over and over again, and still can't get enough. So he decides to write his own bedtime story, the longest story EVER, with the help of all of his friends.

Little bunny has a wonderful family that reads him story book after story book each night. However, he always wants just 1 more. Since the books never seem to be long enough Little Bunny decides to pen his own lengthy night time novel.

Very sweet; my favorite section is when Bunny visits the Wolf family. Great modeling that readers are writers and writers are readers! The end won't be a surprise to grown-ups, but young children will enjoy it.

Little Brown Bunny loves storytime before bed (and who doesn't?) but the stories just aren't long enough, so he decides to write his own and visits his friends for inspiration.

This is just such a lovely book. Adorable illustrations and great characters. Just wonderful!

I don't say this often, but this was a really cute book. A little bunny always wants one more story before bed, and eventually runs out of books. His parents wisely suggest that he writes his own book and collects stories from friends. The end result seems to be beneficial for all...

So sweet. Even my 10 year old loved it, and laughed heartily at the end. We picked it because we love the illustrator, and happily enjoyed the author as well.

Pupu haluaa pidemmän satukirjan, joten tekee sen itse. Hienona yksityiskohtana pupun oma satukirja on mukana pienenä värityskirjana. Tämä piti heti lukea monta kertaa

Cute story about a bunny who loves to read stories before bedtime but they are never long enough. This is his story about wanting to do something to change that.

One of TJ's favorites, and a great bedtime story. Some nights he "reads" it to us instead because he has the whole thing memorized.
