The romantic...

When her boss offers her free tickets to the CMA Fest, Ava Trent jumps at the chance for a weekend in Nashville with her best girlfriends. Great music and new opportunities to look for Mr Right? What more could a former country girl ask for? Well, maybe not to literally fall at the feet of the hottest guy she's ever seen.

And the superstar singer...

After becoming an overnight success, fame doesn’t rest easy on Chase Hudson’s shoulders. It's hard to tell who's interested in him and who's interested in the star. So when he and Ava collide, and she has no idea who he is, he's immediately intrigued. Something about Ava calls to him – even though he’s convinced she’s a city-type who couldn’t handle his Nashville life.

Are about to get their country on.

What starts as a light-hearted bet to test one another, becomes something much deeper as Ava and Chase can’t stay away from one another. But with so many differences between their lives, will they win the relationship they've been dreaming of? Or lose each other?

Her boss gives Ava Trent free tickets and use of box seats to the CMA Fest in Nashville. What’s a girl to do but bring her best friends Bonni, Celia and Fredi with her. They are supposed to meet a “friend of a friend.” As they are hanging out at a bar, she literally falls into Chase Hudson, a new up and coming country western singer, the friend she is supposed to get the tickets from. Ava is the romantic of the group and believes Mr. Right is out there, and she will meet him sooner or later. Both Chase and Ava are attracted to each other. She hasn’t really heard of him and she also doesn’t know about his rich family. Chase likes that about her. Chase, not knowing that Ava is actually a country girl, makes a series of three bets with the “city girl” to see if they will actually be able to have a relationship or are they too different.
I really enjoyed this story. This is Ava and Chase’s story but the relationship between Ava, Bonni, Celia and Fredi is also incorporated into the plot. With her friends’ support, Ava jumps in and takes a chance with Chase. She was always the romantic of the group. Ava is not impressed with Chase’s popularity or money, she is interested in the man. The bets were funny because Chase had no idea that Ava is actually a country girl, and not the city girl he thought she was. Soon they both realize they have feelings for each other and have to try and figure out if it will work out. This was a fun book. I loved the relationship between Ava and her friends, the relationship the girls had with each other and finally, Chase’s character. I look forward to the next book in the series to see the girls’ next adventure.

I love a good modern day fairytale, which is why I picked up The Nashville Bet. But this Pixy Stix of a story just wasn't for me. I thought if I could get past the truly alarming number of exclamation points (only brought up because the author went so overboard with them it pulled me out of the story), Ava and her friends might grow on me. But they - and Ava in particular - came across as completely juvenile, which made it hard to take - even for a fluffy and fun read. Ava was so starry-eyed that an old school Disney princess would find her attitude a bit hard to take and Chase was uninteresting, cardboard perfection.

I stuck with this book for over a week because people seem to really enjoy it and I wanted to find the fun. But for me it was a bland, shallow, insta-love tale that was going nowhere so I threw in the towel. I adore fluffy stories, but this one just didn't pull me in and I found the characters annoying. As I said before, I seem to be in the minority so The Nashville Bet might simply not be a good fit for me.

FTC Disclosure: I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I was looking forward to reading The Nashville Bet. Unfortunately, it did not really live up to what I hoped for.
Ava and her girlfriends felt a little immature and I had a hard time liking the characters. I don't know - it just felt a little slow to me. it was difficult to get into and stay interested.

Ava loved to fly because it took her places but she preferred the skies to be calm. Everything had been last minute. David who was Ava’s boss had booked a suite for the CMA Fest at nissan Stadium but there was a family emergency so he offered the suite to Ava and said he could get extra tickets for her friends as a thank you for her work on their latest project. Ava loved all kinds if music and her friends celia, Bonnie, and fredi also loved country music so they were all excited. Celia and Bonnie took over planning the itinerary. Tonight they were going line dancing and meeting up with the guy with the extra tickets. The CMA Fest ran into Saturday with three days of concerts in many different locations. Bonni and Celia had found their happy ever afters that just left her and Fredi.to find theirs. Ava knew that man of her dreams was out there. Fredi and Ava were the most opposite of the four woman. Ava chose to give people the benefit of the doubt and to see good in them whereas Fredi took a more cynical view of life. Ava was all about passion, togetherness, love at first sight , being swept off her feet . Fredi designed wedding dresses for a living but was the Romance Scrooge. Chase looked at the picture on his phone Of Ava so he knew who he had to give the tickets to. Ava wasn’t his type but Chase was slightly intrigued by the mystery in her eyes. Chase was a country music star on the rise and already had some fame. Chase was huge into privacy . he came from old family wealth in an even older family. Chase had a bad experience with a woman who even spread lies about him. With the help of his publicist and his label the lies all blew over. Chase now knew to keep his life private and to be careful of who he allowed in it. He swore off women until the right one walked in his life if she ever did. Now he was about to medicate the void in his heart. Chase was determined to stick to his own style of writing songs and performing them. He was told that’s what made him stand out from the rest. He just did what his heart told him to. Chase was the last male heir to carry on his family name. Chase’s friend daisy got him to get up and line dance at the bar he was to find Ava in to give her the tickets. The women in front of him were having a great time and appeared to be drunk, the next thing Chase knew the girls were on the floor. He helped everyone up and went to check on the last woman who didn’t seem to know how to line dance. He helped that last lady up . she was soft but lean and the warmth of her body scolded his fingers, sending flames racing up his arms and down his spine to settle low in his hips. Chase had a strange urge to pull her in his arms and kiss her until she was limp. Than he thought what to hell was wrong with him. Ava had never felt such an instant attraction to a man before. Ava thought of how stupid she sounded. He was throwing her world off kilter. Than Ava gave her name and Chase gave his and he mentioned they were destined to meet. Than ava realized he was the one to give her the extra tickets. Her friends came up to her and Ava explained about Chase and he was the one with the extra tickets. She could already see celia thinking about matchmaking. After fans came up to Chase Ava googled him and found out he was country’s latest crooner and desired by women across the country. Ava decided she needed to find her friends and left Chase to look for them. Chase went to say hi to his friends that he’d grown up with. One told him there was a dance at harpers tomorrow and invited Chase to go. As he was leaving he thought of taking Ava. he liked the idea and and he could always invite her friends if they wanted to go. He finally found Ava again and made his way to her. For the first time in his life Chase was speechless. He didn’t know what to say and words were his living. Ava made a bet with Chase that she could adapt to country living better than he could ever imagine. Ava and chase become lovers for a weekend fling . It wouldn’t hurt anyone. But Ava knows her romantic self and has to be careful she doesn’t get hurt.
I loved this book. The only thing that irritate some was how fast Ava and chase both felt they had fallen in love with the other. But as long as you believe in love at first sight or soulmates it’s fine. I am a romantic at heart so once in a while…. I loved Ava’s friends and how loyal and loving they were with each other. I loved the nicknames Chase and Ava came up with almost immediately for each other. I loved the pace and plot. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

The girls are at it again for another friends weekend, this time in Nashville. I enjoyed the more down-home feel to the storyline, even with the country star fairytale. I liked how the friends are written, and how much support they offer as each woman steps forward in their own book. And out of all the women, I think Ava has been my favorite. She likes her froufrou, but seems to be the most casual out of the four. Country star Chase is a little too perfect, but I kind of enjoyed that. Instead of the typical drama many of the 'average-meets-celebrity' stories give page time to, The Nashville Bet went in a more entertaining direction. Showing them having a good time. It was a fun book from beginning to end.

On a side note, I've been listening to the audiobooks and the narrator has been the same for all 3 in the series. I don't usually have a problem with that. However, the performance of the lead couple in all 3 books have been too similar. Accent, speech pattern, emotional reaction ... all interchangeable. The supporting cast is given different voices, but those voices have not been carried forward when the story shifts to a new lead. I don't know if its a limitation of the narrator, or if I'm just being overly picky. But it was enough to throw me out of the story sometimes.

This is the third book in the Girls Weekend Away series, and the third book I read by Shana Gray. I’ve been really enjoying this series so far. The friendship between the four girls Ava, Celia, Bonni and Fredi is just so fun to read about. Although the romance in these books so far is great, it is the friendship between these girls that makes me love this series so much.

In ‘The Nashville Bet’ Ava received free tickets to the CMA Fest in Nashville. It’s the perfect opportunity for the four friends to hook up for another fun weekend. Always the romantic, Ava decides this weekend she for once isn’t looking around to find mister right. And as usual, when you least expect it.. this is when she meets Chase Hudson. Chase is handsome, charming and apparently famous as an upcoming country singer. They immediately hit it off, but Ava is sure things can’t go on after this weekend. Long distance relationship can never work.. right?

The scary thing about reading a series that you love is always that the next book might not be as good as the previous one. Luckily for me this isn’t the case with this series. I loved the previous two books and I also really loved this one. The two main characters Ava and Chase are super fun. And their story was really fun to read about. Especially since I love country music, so reading about Chase was definitely fun.

The chemistry between Ava and Chase was really good. They met, and they immediately hit it off. Although this book seemed to have a little less hot and steamy scenes as the previous two books, there was still plenty of hot and steamy scenes to love. Sure, things seemed a little to perfect at times and I think it’s impressive how much things they can do in one 24 hour day, but I really enjoyed reading this one.

Just as with the previous two books I loved the romance in this book, but the moments between the four friends where just as good and I can’t wait to read the story of the ‘last’ single friend Fredi.

The Girls Weekend Away series is definitely a very fun read.

this is the third in a series about three friends finding love in unlikely places. the nashville bet has the friends coming together for the cma fest, and while they're there they meet up and coming country star chase hudson. when ava trent runs into him (literally) on the dance floor there's a spark that neither of them are ready to let extinguish.

instead they have a whirlwind of a weekend, spending time every chance they get. because this is a vacation romance, you have to rely on instalust and instalove, but the author handles the way these characters open up to each other in a very deft manner. you see the speed with which their emotions develop but you also understand why they fall as hard as they do.

in the end this is a fun read, and you don't have to read the previous books in the series to enjoy it.

**the nashville bet will publish on december 18, 2018. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (amara) in exchange for my honest review.

A fun romp between a mega country superstar to be and an ordinary citified girl who once grew up in the country. Ava gets some tickets to go to a country music festival from her boss and she somehow ends up meeting Chase Hudson, rising new country mega star. It was quick, had humor and fun and you liked all the situations, (even if some were a bit quick!)
Her Friends were a hoot, so when you get the chance pick up a copy and enjoy.

A thoroughly enjoyable insta-love romance.
This is the third book of the ‘Girl’s Weekend Away’ series, the story of Ava and Chase. Can be read as a stand-alone, but I loved the references to the other characters.
The writing was immaculate and I was drawn in from the very first chapter.
A fun, flirty and fabulous read.

I have been waiting on this book with bated breath and it did not disappoint. Shana Gray has made this such a fun and outgoing series. The girlfriend bonding and chatter is hilarity personified. Ava, lovingly called “Boots” by Chase is the dreamy, rainbows and butterflies girl of the group. She meets Chase, a country music star who becomes her prince, by literally falling at his feet. From that moment they are inseparable. The girlfriends intervene to ensure that nothing prevents Ava from getting her happy ending and the it becomes a rollicking good time from start to finish. Only one friend is left single, Fredie, and I know her story will be epic.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. What a great book!! Fun, and cute and endearing. Yes there are sex scenes, but the people are just nice. A nice breath of fresh air. There is definite chemistry between Ava and Chase. It happens fast, and furious. I laughed, and wanted them to be happy. She has great friends! We should all be so lucky. I think very romance reader should give this a read! A 4.5 star rating from me. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The Nashville Bet by Shana Gray is Book 3 of the Girls Weekend Away series. While this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone. Being the first in the series I have read, I had no issues following along.

This was an enjoyable read that was fast and fun, is a instalove romance with the right amount of heat and chemistry between Ava and Chase. It was so smooth in the delivery that before I knew it I had inhaled it and the book was done. I was so not ready for that...why Ms. Gray, why? :p

Thank you for giving us wonderful storyline that centers around Nashville and the CMA...such fun! I totally loved this book!

Please note that an ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

The Nashville Bet by Shana Gray a five-star read you would be willing to lose the house on. This is the third novel in the Girls weekend away books, but they can be read as stand-alone, they each tell the story of a different friend. This time it’s the turn of numerical wonder Ava Trent, and there were so many thrilling moments in this read. I loved the mentions to the music, I didn’t think I was a huge fan of country music, but the more I read the more I was like oohhh I love that band/singer, and that song is one of my favourites, I clearly like it more than I realised and I was so glad that this read brought that out of me, making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and then there were the characters they just made me much warmer. This author is fast becoming one for me to watch and I cant wait for the next instalment in the series, bring on Monaco.

This was a fun lighthearted sexy read that I devoured in a day. No angst, no drama, no deep soul searching. Just two people enjoying Nashville, the CMA's, and each other's company. There's great fun sexy banter between Chase and Ava keeping the story light and fun while their chemistry jumps from the pages. It was fun watching them as they figure out what comes next. This is a great relaxing read and a book I definitely recommend.

Ava gives Chase a run for his money!

Ava Trent has been given tickets and use of a suite at CMA Fest with her three friends in Nashville since he couldn’t go. Ava and her friends needed to pick up extra tickets from some guy at a bar. Singer Chase Hudson is at Wildhorse Corral dancing with an old friend when he notices some dancers laughing and having a lot of fun when they fall down. Little did Chase know that of them was the lady he needed to give the tickets to who didn’t look like the picture that he had been given. Chase came from old money but he wanted someone who enjoyed the same stuff he did and not debutantes that he grew up with. He thought Ava was a city girl because how she looked in the picture and Ava was out to surprise him when he made a bet on her wearing a shirt at the concert he was performing at.

The Nashville Bet is the third book in the Girls Weekend Away and it definitely is standalone story that you can enjoy without reading the first two in the series. I totally enjoyed The Nashville Bet and I’m looking forward to Fredi’s story because she is a definite firecracker.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Free tickets to the CMA Fest? A weekend getaway to Nashville with her besties? You get your bootie Ava is taking that offer. And maybe she can multitask, find her soulmate while she's there. Heck, she could trip right over him. Oh wait, she really does kind of land right at his feet. Hmm...

Chase, a rapidly rising singer, is having a problem with that fame. Not the part where he gets to do what he loves, that part is awesome, no, it's the not knowing if those he meets are interested in Chase the man, or Chase the superstar. And then he runs into a woman who doesn't recognize him and he's intrigued by that fact, among others.

But she's a city girl, right? Which means she couldn't handle his real life in the country. However, Chase doesn't realize how wrong he is...Ava hasn't always loved in the city, where she was born and raised is far from it.

What happens when these two just can't seem to stay away from each other? How will Ava react when she learns who he is? Will their lives merge easily or must they go their separate ways?

One-click now and follow along as two people meet unexpectedly and find something beyond their wildest dreams.

This one was my favourite yet in the series. When the romantic meets the superstar singer, they get their country on. Will Ava win the bet or lose her heart? That is the question of the novel, but being a romance novel, we know she'll have a happy ending. The book is very predictable especially because all the books in the series follow the same equation. This book will not give you some life lesson to think about, but it will give you a nice time swooning away about an amazing gentleman trying to win over his hurt romantic!

Main Characters:
Ava Trent: Financial manager, born country turned city
Chase Hudson: Rising country singer, old wealth

Top 10 side Characters:
Bonni Connolly: Detective, Ava's friend from college
Celia Fox: Author, Ava's friend from college
Fredi: Wedding dress designer, Ava's friend from college
Landen Bryant: CEO of family company, Celia's boyfriend
Quinn Bryant: Prof. poker player, Bonni's fiancé
David: Ava's boss
Fiona Johns: Country Singer, friend of Chase
Dave: Personal driver
Lance Warrington: Big time Country singer
Doze: Chase's Agent

I loved, loved, loved this book. Ava and Chase’s story was so romantic it made my heart soar. “The Nashville Bet” was my favourite from this series so far. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

"How can it be possible that you are here in my bed?
I've imagined you, sung about you...
all these years and never figured I'd find you."

After realising that this was Ava’s turn for a story, I couldn’t wait to dive in. I loved Ava in the previous books and wanted nothing more than for the hopeless romantic to finally find the special guy that she had been waiting for. As a romance loving girl myself, I could easily relate to Ava’s wish to find her own happy ever after. I was so excited for her when she met the dreamy Chase. I had high hopes for the pairs relationship and I wasn’t disappointed. Chase was just so lovely and quickly fell head over heels in love with Ava. The romance that unfolded was one that made my heart flip over and over again.

"Loving Ava all night long was what he was born to do.
But not just for one night...every night."

Chase and Ava’s story was a heart-melting, drama free romance. I adored everything about it.

I enjoyed the 2 books before this one, although I always felt the whole "fell for each other straight away" was unrealistic.
But this book seemed rather forced and rushed. What are the chances that on their 3rd holiday together another one falls in love and is fallen in love with the second she meets a good looking guy. They admitted they were in love within 48 hours and that for me was just annoying.
I felt like some build up should have happened before they realised it was more than just a fling, but they both seemed to confess to themselves they'd never felt this way about anyone before within an hour of knowing each other.
I did finish the book but it was a struggle.

Country rock star; insta-love; e-Book; library

Ava Trent is given to CMA Fest by her boss as a thanks for a job well done. She invites her 3 best friends to go with her. While they're out dancing at a country bar, Ava is run into by Chase Hudson. From that moment on they were on a quick path to love.

I loved this book! It was such a light-hearted romp that I didn't realize I needed. Chase was utterly amazing and anyone would be lucky to have him. Ava and her besties were fun, and they were caring & protective as best friends should be.

I can't wait to read another book by this author!

I have been loving this series. Ava and Chase were adorable! I only wish she would have given him a little bit more of a challenge. We knew the hopeless romantic of the group would fall hard, but in the beginning she seemed like she might give him a run for his money. I would love to see a whole series about these different country music singers! I think Fiona needs a story, even Lance. I loved the adventure and the girl trips in this series make me wish I could take trips like this with my girlfriends! I can’t wait to check out the next book! And as always the narration was amazing!

I love the characterization of Chase Hudson, but not so much of Ava Trent. She was too wishy-washy for me. I prefer my heroines with a bit more backbone.
The author uses such phrases as "running through his schedule and his head." Surely she means "in his head," but the mistake in editing took me out of the story. "Moved to into the group." "Oh, woman, that you're here with me." Etc.
Ms. Gray uses lots of split infinitives: "to not break," "to truly look," "to gently lift," etc.

Best of the series. Not as much whining about why things could never work out. And the reasons for the doubts were more believable than the other three books in the series.
