A human thrust into the world of the supernatural. The alpha mate who doesn't want him. It's all about to collide with the being who does.
Everything began with a stupid accident. As usual, Shepherd hadn't been paying attention when he sliced Raff's skin. His unwitting move left Raff scarred and revealed Shepherd's fate as the southeast pack leader's mate. It's a position he doesn't want.
Raff and Dante have been a couple for over fifty years. Despite knowing they aren't each other's fated mate, their love is strong and real. Until fate shows its hand, tearing them apart. Raff puts his foot down and refuses to claim Shepherd. Shepherd wants no part of being claimed. Meanwhile, Dante is trying his damnedest to lick his wounds and accept his loss. No one is coming out the winner in their standoff.
But when a demon comes calling, offering Shepherd a way to fix the damage he's caused, someone will have to break. Otherwise, they all might end up doomed.

I really like all the characters that came into play. Loved the dilemma of the three main characters, Rafe the Alpha-Were, his long time love of 50 yrs, Dante the vampire, and Shepherd the human who is now the soul mate of Ralph. The three are so messed up in their denial of each other, that it takes an outsider, mystical being Stryph, to set things right by possessing Shepherd. I’m not overly fond of magic-wand solutions such as Stryph. But there was such potential of some smexy times while he possessed Shepherd. But alas, all the sexcapades where off page for us readers, as we got to watch Shepherd sleep during it all. Such a missed opportunity to make this a really hot smoking book.
The Hellish Clan is a centuries old vampire/shifter pack that hunts and destroys demons that threaten the human race.
In the eighth installment of the Hellish series, long time lovers, Raff and Dante, find themselves torn apart when Shepherd, a human, is revealed to be Raff’s fated mate. Not willing to compromise nor claim his mate, Raff puts a rift between this trio that causes so much strife, that a powerful being is drawn towards Shepherd, and vies for his attention. Shepherd is offered an opportunity to choose his fate. Will Raff finally accept Shepherd as his mate? Will Dante fight to keep his love Raff and Shepherd? Or will Shepherd embrace the forbidden fruit offered?
Ravage is another great story in a must read series! If you are a lover of m/m romance with a paranormal element, I highly recommend!

*Readers Note: This is book 8 in the Hellish series. I do not consider these as stand-alone books, and recommend they be read in order.
So I have weird feelings about this book. I want to rate it 5 stars because I loved Sheppard, Dante, and Stryph but Raff being an ass the whole book just ruined it for me. There's a scene where Stryph is telling off Dante and Raff and that scene is exactly how I feel about them too. No matter what the characters in Charity Parkersons books do I end up forgiving them because of the writing and story telling, but this one just fell flat for me.

I thought that Raff was a bit ridiculous in this book. Dante flat out told him that he couldn't respect Raff if he refused to claim Shepherd and that he couldn't be with someone he didn't respect. And yet, Raff continued to botch things up with both of his men.
The addition of Stryph was interesting, and I can't wait to see what kind of mischief happens with him involved in everyone's lives. I'm especially curious to see if he can actually be fated to someone.
Another great add to the series. This World keep getting better and better, with each new character added it adds more to the mystery and I have no idea what's coming next. These three guys had three different views and emotions playing a part in them doubting themselves, add in a new character to stir the pot and I didn't see that coming. Can't wait for the next.
Strife made this book..Shepherd shares a relationship with him that chokes you up and makes you laugh. Fated Mate to Raff who is conflicted over his feelings for both Dante and Shepherd. Through Strife, Shep realizes that he is fated to Dante as well. The emotional turmoil that the each go through leading to that realization really moved me.
A great book, it was so great. I enjoy taking the time to read this book and I'm looking forward to reading the next book. I hope the next one is about Stryph finding his fated mate. Evan and Tam may be young and innocent, but they're loveable, I'm hoping to read more about them. Oh, who am I kidding, I want to read more about them all.
Okay this did not take turns in any of the directions I expected but they all made total sense. Careful crafting of plot and characters together and BAM hoo boy I LOVED this one. It felt as much about Stryph and Shepherd’s friendship than the main love story, and tbh I preferred the friendship, but still a rly great story
This series is great, different than most, but absolutely great. Easy reading, good story lines. So looking forward to next book in this series. It will be interesting.
I was pleased with the beginning and the ending but there was no sense in letting his body being taken over and used in sexual acts without his knowledge.
I loved this book. It was the book that got me into the Hellish series. I find it unusual because the most powerful relationship in the book is actual not between lovers, but between Stryph and Shepard. Their friendship is powerful and unique and drives the story. It certainly made me look forward to seeing Stryph again in future books.
