Hohut's orientation is placed into historical perspectives and compared and contrasted with other views, the clinical problems it is meant to help understand are described, and the evolution of the psychology of the self as contained in the work of Kohut and his followers is explained.

Una verdadera joya de libro. Exquisitamente explicado y a veces con una profundidad insondable hace una verdadera crítica explicativa de teoría del Narcisismo de Kohut. Su integración con Lacan y Foucault incluyendo a Freud y el pensamiento existencialista lo hace una joya de obra. Recomendado pero profundo.

The beginning was more interesting. Saw parallels between Trump and other historical figures. Then the book became very dry and clinical.
