This was ok. It wasn't the best book but of course I have to finish the book. I think the way these two tip toe around each other is super annoying. I feel like she is super immature - the way Abby gets about the press and the way Daniel is. I feel like she is just immature and he is way more mature - except for the whole go out and make himself look like a player to get his company high on the lists instead of paying for marketing......that is a little crazy.
The storyline is ok. You could say I enjoyed the first half until chapter 15 where Abby and Daniel finally kissed. Then I sped run through the book... Because really, I was only interested in the build-up.
I think what I didn't like about the book was that Daniel worried too much about his reputation and his company that a lot of thoughts were read... I guess I was impatient. And then there's Abby who preached to not be romantically involved with her boss... but then of course, she kisses him and runs to her best friend.
I found Abby irritating and immature, at times. Daniel thinks it's good to have the gossip columns think he is a playboy, and somehow, that is good for business. If this were a stand alone story, it would be alright, but it is not one to make me want to read the rest of the series.
Just when the story was taking a new turn...to be continued. Ugh. The story is a good one that pulls you in and has you pulling for romance to bloom. Just when the passion between Daniel and Abby is headed in the right direction, his motives are questioned. Abby has agreed to continue to be Daniels adviser, but not hung more. Daniel has finally found a woman who challenges him and he can see forever with Abby but now he’s going to have to lock his feelings away. Can they do it? On to the next book
When I started this book, I did not realize it was book one of three. I would not have started it if I had. To be honest the story was good enough as a standalone but not exciting enough to keep going.
I bought the second one (over $5) which except for a few authors is not my norm and 10 pages in I am so regretting it. It is for lack of a better way to put it- second verse same as the first. This is the one of the few DNR in my library.
The story kept my interest but was a let-down upon coming to another cliffhanger. Although Abby held several jobs, I wondered if it was her tendency to share too much that ended them since it seemed unprofessional, especially with the secretary. For wanting to be a financial advisor and eventually a CEO, a person needs discretion which isn't Abby's strength obviously. Otherwise another billionaire story that goes nowhere unless you're rich enough to purchase the following two in the series.
Lexy does it yet again, while you may think this is just your typical billionaire story, it’s really not, Abby is hired as advisors to Daniel’s company. Sparks fly with the two, but Daniel’s always in the paper making him out to be a playboy, Abby isn’t sure she can handle that.
This was actually a good read but I don’t like being forced to read more because of a cliffhanger. I did get it for free but still I wasn’t expecting it to just end. Good flow and well written.
This was a good story as far as it went, but damn I am tired of having to buy another book to finish the story. Whatever happened to having a whole story in one book instead of 2 or more?
Book was find. Couple was just long winded about getting involved.she couldn't make up her mind he was scare to commit. Which staged out the book it had some good part but maybe part 2 and 3 will get better .
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
You shouldn’t have interpersonal relationships with your boss. It never looks good, especially when they are ridiculous wealthy and oft found gracing the tabloids. This is an entertaining read with an abrupt ending.
When it looks like a disaster waiting to happen... maybe it is, or maybe it's not. Dating the boss/owner is filled with dangerous outcomes, but could this be different? Happy reading : )
Can you say jaw dropping, drool inducing, cannot stop reading, one heck of a good time read? This book was everything I could have ever wanted it to be and more!! ❤
If you're going to write about sexy alpha males, keep them alpha and not run at the first sign of female trouble.
If you're going to write about strong females, keep them strong and not able to let others influence their decisions.
Write about Alpha's and strong females who fight for what they want without others opinions getting in the way.
This story has great promise but, unfortunately, I found myself skipping most of it as both their inner dialog bored me. Both come across as weak and pathetic when one is supposed to be an alpha male and the other a strong and smart female, really?
I kept waiting on something that never happened!! Then out FINALLY ended and was a freaking cliffhanger that currently takes two more books to hopefully fully end but don't know if anything ever actually happens. I want this time back in my life from reading this
