Three hot, erotic encounters. Well done, nice to see condoms in use but why no lube?
I liked the writing style and the characters. It's not a romance, but perhaps seeding one for the sequels. While the ending of book 1 worked out ok for me, beware it's not the end of these characters' story. What really should be one book has been chopped up into three pieces.

Short and Sexy. I wouldn't mind reading the rest of this series. I wish the books were longer. Because it kind of wets your appetite but leaves you wanting more. Which ultimately isn't a bad thing.

(2, 5 stars rated up) Dirk and Garrett are friends and fuck buddies working together on Dirk's family ranch who keep unapologetically fucking every chance they get no matter the time or place. Despite Dirk's insistence that there are no feelings involved on either side there are few hints about both Dirk and Garrett wanting more out of their arrangement.
This story was mostly erotica and if you're only into reading some dirty encounters between two cowboys with subtle give and take power dynamic you might find this story perfectly satisfactory. But I found myself being distracted by the allusions of there being something more between the two and some questionable writing choices like the absence of lube and Dirk and Garrett f*cking inside a horse's stall next to a horse (I would assume that to be somewhat dangerous) and only after finishing taking the horse out (if they were going to take him out anyway why not do it before f*cking).
The impression I can't shake off is that this story read like a particularly sad erotica (and the point of erotica certainly isn't to make you sad). On the surface Dirk and Garrett might claim that they are enjoying all their illicit encounters but to me they didn't read like all that satisfactory (especially not the last one ).

this is a great start to this little series!! I don't know why I waited so long to start reading....moving onto book 2.
