In this study book the author solidly places the mythic text of Bram Stoker within its historic context: discussion on homosexuality, the importance of the work, critical reception, narrative strategy, race, space and the British Empire, monstrous women, nightmares, schizophrenia, religion, Dracula and Victorian Science, the technology of the novel. This read was very interesting and revealing. Really recommended!
