Cute book! Good collection! Easy one sentence a page with beautiful illustrations that help kids learn some vocabulary and starting to read, but also learning to appreciate what they have in their life, and even the most basic thing like food! Good one!!

This book tells a story using 23 words paired with cute, colourful illustrations. This book is very simple and each page has one of the children saying thanks for something. This is a very simple book, but with Thanksgiving in Canada just being celebrated and in the US coming up in November, this is a timely book. The illustrations are simple, yet well done and can be used to help the reader decipher the text. There is a note for parents and caregivers at the front of the book to help them with using this book with their child. As part of the Reading Stars series, I Say Thanks is designed for beginning readers to promote confidence in reading skills. New readers will feel pride in their ability to read and understand this story. A great book for a family library or a primary classroom. The publisher, Xist Publishing, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read. The rating, ideas and opinions are my own.

In rhymes that play out over several pages, this book mentions various things to be thankful for, such as food and family and various activities. Aww, the dog didn’t get thanked. . .
Just like others in this series, this tome is designed for those little ones just starting on their reading journey, so there’s a lot of repetition. Should be read out loud.

A simple easy reader on all the things one can give thanks. It almost reminds me of the funny little Thanksgiving poems kids learn and pass around each year. But this isn’t so much funny, and has no jolly quip, just a simple message of thanks. The illustrations are not the greatest, they remind of things from the sixties, but they work and are appreciated.

As a sophomore in college reading a book that is meant for new readers, I just didn't like this book. Just for no reason, it just was annoying because every page was the same thing just slightly different.

Amazing story about the importance to teach kids to appreciate every little thing in life. Every kid should read it and learn to say thanks often.
