O Encantador de Anjos de Kyle Gray
Nice young man, some nice stories, but the author's beliefs muddy the water and can alarm
This review is from: The Angel Whisperer: Incredible Stories of Hope and Love from the Angels (Kindle Edition)
I believe in other realms, loving forces, and angels, and that the mind is a powerful tool, however, the law of attraction is misunderstood, including by this author. He says "Your life is a reflection of your mind" and goes on to say, about people who think they will die young, that they will do so: "Don't hand your life away!" Anyone reading this review who is alarmed by the author's claim that you can bring death upon yourself just by your thoughts, I can tell you this is not true. You are more than your mind and there are intelligent forces at work helping you to become whole, and looking out for you, especially when you are afraid, yet the author says angels can't help when we are afraid. This is not true either. At the height of fear we can be most receptive to healing and miracles.
The author says the angels do not judge (I agree) yet then says the angels do, for example, when he cites a tale about his mother and money, and when he says his angel advises people to seize the opportunity when they catch themselves thinking negatively, to switch to thinking positively. He says that we should take a non-interference approach, a Buddhist concept whereby we allow someone to learn their own lessons without having to say anything, yet this contradicts his own approach, as he gives advice, and so suggests he knows what is best for another being.
He claims that for the Law of Attraction to work it is essential to ask the universe in the right way. This is another misconception, and by implication suggests the countless millions who do not have the education to do so, are doomed.
He says each person's journey is about soul growth, and that bad things can occur to help achieve growth, yet frequently says that abundance in all forms is there for the taking, and moreover that it is easy to obtain.
He talks about forgiveness glibly: "There are two options when it comes to forgiveness; you can make it difficult or easy. I always choose the easiest route possible!"
In her book, The Undervalued Self, Dr Elaine Aron, a psychotherapist and pioneer for sensitive people and sensitive people who have suffered, says, "Despite all of our work on improving self-esteem in the past decades, the undervalued self is still with us, tagging along and causing trouble. This is largely because, as research as now shown, POSITIVE THINKING AND SELF-AFFIRMATIONS CAN MAKE THOSE WITH LOW SELF-ESTEEM FEEL EVEN WORSE ABOUT THEMSELVES".
I understand the tenets of Kyle Gray's belief in the law of attraction well, having formally studied, for three years in the 1980s, on a one-to-one basis, something called Religious Science and Science of Mind (SOM), which is not to be confused with Scientology. My tutor was Revd. Nona Coxhead, a former student of Charles Barker, who taught Louise Hay.
I do not think there is one heaven or afterlife, but many, or at least many dimensions, and mediums such as Kyle Gray are able to connect with spirits and also purer forces of love. These people are channels. They are not the Godhead, or supreme know-all, and each one is also here to learn lessons and grow their soul. When a person takes a message on board and really hears it, is because they are ready to do so. That message can be delivered in countless ways and come from a variety of sources, such as a friend, relative, medium, coach, therapist, man/woman on the street, the TV, radio, via their dreams or from their own inner voice. We are all servants of a loving universe, here to help each other grow and learn.
I do believe the mind is a powerful tool, and based on decades of experience I am a believer in affirmations as a way to connect with the natural gentle positivity within each one of us, but we are far more than just our mind. We also have an emotional self, a physical self, and a spiritual self (the source of our core values and that which acts as our moral compass). The mind is not alone or in sole control.
Ive ended up becoming a big fan of Kyle Gray over the last year or so. Therefore I wanted to read all of his past books. I started off really enjoying this book but the more I got into it the more repetitive it felt. There were some interesting points and interesting stories but they were few and far between. Not my fav Kyle Gray book I’ve read.
It is the first time I read anything by this Author but I enjoyed reading his book and his fairly easygoing style. He writes directly from the heart sharing his experience and in a way giving us hints of his own biography, his deep connection to his Grandmother and Mother and his discovery of his spiritual gifts. The book is full of stories of true cases of people he helped through readings, connecting them to their Angels and trying to pass on new ways of relating lovingly to themselves and others. Overall, I felt it is a book close to the style of Doreen Virtue or James Van Praagh, which is nothing wrong since those Authors, too, are quite inspiring.
I am actually giving this a 5 star rating as it’s helped me over the last couple days. I’m suffering with anxiety and work related stress and while reading this book I’ve been sending thoughts out to my Spirit team and I’ve actually had quite a few “in your face” signs back. . There’s nothing much to report back on this book as it is about Kyle’s journey with the Spirit world and the people he’s met, the readings he’s given and also give me advice on how to talk to your own Angels when you need help. . Definitely a recommendation for anyone who is spiritually minded.
After writing a personal poem entitled Angel Whispers, I came across this book and knew it was for me! Kyle discusses this so personally and easily that reading it was so enjoyable. I want to give copies to family now. Thank you Kyle and Angels for loving and supporting us every minute!
Believer or non believer, this book sends messages of positivity and healing. The examples were heart warming and I generally found it easy to get through. I’m really glad I gave this a read.
I enjoyed reading this book. It brought enlightenment. I feel that I have always had a connection to angels but now I understand more about how to talk to them and the names and specialties of some angels. Thank you!
This book will draw you into what it feels like to know the angels around you. I highly recommend this book to those who want to really know that feeling.
HIGHLIGHTS: 1. ANGEL FORCE: - When you invite Angels as a force into your life, you permit an Angel, who has expertise in your situation to help. It’s their force that speaks through me rather than one in particular. - Ritual of “plugging in” + process of “disconnecting” (eg log out) and no longer being available.
2. LOVE YOURSELF: - When we truly accept in love who we are, the universe will reflect this in our life and everything we experience will be wonderful and loving. - Learning to be at one with yourself is the heart of a happy, fulfilled existence.
3. LAW OF ATTRACTION: - What we focus on we create. Self-love is important. - Every thought you think, and every word you say, creates a wave of energy in your life. - Choose your thoughts and beliefs, wisely. The universe and angels support every decision you make.
4. CUT THE CORD: - “Thank you Angels and archangel Michael, for being with me now. Surround me in your light so I may fearlessly cut the cords that by me to the pass and unwanted energy."
5. ANGELS ANSWERS: - When you ask angels for help, remember to keep your eyes, peeled and ears tuned for answers and signs. - They’ll be there, you just have to look in every sense.
6. ANGELS - Angels encourage us to trust the flow of life and our own intuition. Our intuition is a powerful force and is a source guided by angels. - Always follow your signs and directions, we call this divine guidance, and the angels will guide you to happiness. - Our purpose on earth and in life is to grow as a soul. - Love is the only purpose. Sharing love fulfills our potential.
7. Healing Animals: “Thank you, angels, for allowing me to channel your healing light to (animal’s name), for all the highest good.”
8. BONUS ANGELS: - A common situation is that when people attune to Reiki or learn and healing techniques, a new angel will join them on their path or work with them for a while until they get the hang of what they are doing. - Each angel has a specialty.
9. LAWS: - Everything we say is a reflection of our inner self. - Complaining is pointing out what we don’t like in ourselves. - Law of free will: Self-mastery is when we are completely at peace with ourselves. Call in higher assistance by asking for help. - Law of Attraction: Wanting attracts more wanting. Believe you already have it and bring that energy into your whole being, the universe will deliver it to you.
10. AFFIRMATIVE PRAYER: - Angels can only intervene when you are not surrounding a situation with fear, as they cannot penetrate fear. - By surrounding it with light, and passing it over to them through affirmative prayer, you will give it a more positive energy. - Surround the situation with golden and pink energy. The situation will be looked after by divine angels. - Angels all want us to focus on positive things. - “Thank you Angels for being with me now and directing me on the path that is right for me.” - “Thank you angels for surrounding my situation in like resolving it now.”
Kyle Gray has seen and communicated with angels from an early age, and is now a top angel psychic and has his own column in a Scottish newspaper.
He helps large numbers of people who consult him, wanting to know about their angels and their loved ones who have passed over.
I found this to be a simple book, simply and clearly expressed, and extremely readable. Kyle tells us about his clients’ problems and how he helped them. The angels give him details of the clients’ lives and of their deceased loved ones, and when Kyle communicates these things to his clients, they are comforted by this confirmation of the existence of angels and learning of the well-being of their loved ones in Heaven.
Kyle teaches us how to tune in to the angels. He informs us of the importance of self-love and how to increase it.
We are taught how to cut the cords to let go of negative persons and situations.
To ask for help from the angels, use affirmative prayers. That is, instead of saying “Please help me”, thank the angels and the universe for already having delivered their assistance.
Use creative visualization to imagine that what we are asking or praying for is already happening.
Always show gratitude. Constantly thank the universe and angels for what you have received.
If you visualize yourself covered from head to toe in golden light, this will raise your vibration and make communicating with angels and asking for help much easier.
If you wish to transform a situation (in the past, present or future), imagine it and all those involved being surrounded by pink light. You can say, “Thank you, angels, for surrounding this situation in light and resolving it now.” Step back from it, allowing the angels’ light to surround it. Trust with all your might in the angels’ help.
Not only does Kyle provide us with stories about the angels, he also gives us the benefit of his spiritual understanding, informing us about the Law of Free Will, the Law of Attraction and the Law of Manifestation. We are told about the value of “I am affirmations” (very important) and the path to happiness. We must let go, forgive, approve of ourselves, create new things and change our life.
I recommend that you read this inspiring book if you wish to be confirmed of the existence of angels and of how they take part in our lives and assist us with whatever we need help with – but this will only happen if we ask for their help!
I would also recommend that you read “True Angel Stories” by Diana Cooper.
This was one of those books I picked up not knowing what to expect—but hoping for a little spark of something more. And it delivered.
Kyle Gray shares his personal experiences with hearing angels and working as a medium, but it’s done with humility and warmth, not ego. The stories he tells are genuinely moving—some heartbreaking, others uplifting—but all threaded with a quiet, gentle kind of hope.
As someone who’s always had one foot in the logical and one in the spiritual, this book felt like a bridge between the two. Comforting, relatable, and deeply human.
If you’re open to the idea that our loved ones might still be with us in some way… this one might just whisper something to your heart too.
I'm on page 165, chapter 12 those we have lost. His life, his Angels, his*story speaks to me. Kyle Gray is such an "inspiration" which brings me back in touch with my own Angels. You can meet and greet Kyle on face*book and Hay*house Radio. 1-29-13 just finished his book and loved it. I always knew I had Angels around me and after reading Kyle's book I have a clear understanding on how to connect with my Angels in a new way. I will reference the last chapter on Love and Abundance(prn)when necessary. I love this book and I also follow Kyle on face*book with his daily quote's! Music to my ears!
I find Kyle's writing style and depth of knowledge so much easier to relate to than most authors on this subject. I'm a big Doreen Virtue fan but Kyle has overtaken her as my go to source for information and guidance on the topic of angels.
A truly amazing read and a nice introduction to Kyle Gray and his work. Definitely one to keep on the bookshelf for future rereads.
I enjoyed reading Kyle Gray's case stories. He gave great examples for positive affirmations especially self-love affirmation, which I copied and pasted it to enlarge 8x10 photo and print it! If you believe in angels and have some similar experiences, this is the book! Highly recommended :-)
