This book is based on memoirs,autobiographies,etc... of people who met Hitler face to face. Mr. Cross is an excellent storyteller. His book is unencumbered by footnotes but it has an excllent "references" section at the back of the book. It is not an over-judgemental or over-emotional tome but seems to stick to the "facts" and it gives a balanced portrayal of a man whose big dream was to conquer new lands in the East for settlement by German colonists.
