Once again had a lot of fun reading this. I really like all of the characters and I'm starting to get to know them better, which is pretty great. Seeing more of the world was A+, as well, and I like some of the cultural notes we got as a result.
Good bisexual representation. There's a character, who is pretty much just written as a character and continues to be the same character even after they mention having had same-sex lovers and one of the aforementioned former lovers shows up on screen at one point. I liked this character to begin with so I was particularly excited about that. It isn't a big part of the book, but it's no smaller a part than the heterosexual romance arc was in the book that came before it and I'm pretty happy with that.
I think it's funny how in the first book a big plot point was about Candace potentially replacing Colbie as leader and putting those fears to rest. Then the second book she completely overshadows the original cast. This is no way ruins the fun of the book because she is arguably the most interesting character. I wonder if there were supposed to be more books that maybe focus on the others more but I know the IP has changed hands so it unlikely. from my understanding of the game Eilish has an interesting character arc at some point and this book hints at that so I was wanting more of that.
Great voice acting and sound effects, just a good production overall. The story follows the same characters into new places, exploring the lands around and its people. Recommended
