It was tons of fun!
I honestly think many will find it a bit underdeveloped, but it was a really fun read, with a lot of banter, I loved it 😀
It is lacking one star because the ending was a bit too quick for me.

I wanted to like this but I couldn't. I knew I was doomed when I hit the halfway point in the book and I still didn't like any of the characters. I felt bad for Cassidy I can't imagine having a mom like that. The only saving grace from a 1 star rating was the fact that they ended up together in the end.

I read this for the first time a few years ago, when I first began leaning really heavily into reading romance again. I remember really enjoying it. I do really like Sabrina Stark’s writing and find her books really readable, even if I’m not always sure about the plots or the content.
I have to say I didn’t enjoy this quite as much as I remember, especially not once it got past their first meeting. The first few chapters are entertaining and fast-paced, but the story meanders a bit once it gets past them. Some of the language is repetitive and the dialogue is a bit clunky at times. It also has a pretty bad attitude towards sex work that I found hard to get past.
There is fun to be had with it, I think, but I’m not sure I’ll ever reread again. I’m still mostly fond of it for when it scratched an itch for me with what I fancied reading, though.
Content Notes: Millionaire/billionaire.

What on earth did I just read? There was literally no story?!
It was all just so vague I couldn't wait for it to be over. If I heard one more "ask me tomorrow" or "I'll tell you later" I was going to scream! A book with no details & no characters back story is just a waste of everyone's time, 1 star.

Okay. So, this was the first book I have read by Sabrina Stark. Therefore, I had no background on the Bishop brothers. That being said, while I would like to know more about Jake’s story, I never felt as though I was missing out on understanding Jax, Jaden, or Cassidy’s stories. This story follows Jax and Cassidy. Jax and Jaden are billionaire brothers, and Cassidy is a young woman struggling to find her path while dealing with a selfish, self-absorbed mother. Jax and Cassidy meet when Cassidy believes she causes Jax to crash a very expensive car. Jax intuits fairly quick that Cassidy’s mother (also involved in the lead up to the crash) has darker intentions for her daughter. He decides to save her, and he brings her into his life. Over a short period of time, they connect, and you will need to read the book for the rest of the story.
Here is the thing about Sabrina Stark as I see it: she loves snappy dialogue. If you are one who might become frustrated with characters saying a lot about a little, then you will not want to read this book. However, if you love a quick tête-à-tête between characters, a hero who loves deeply, and a strong chemistry between the H/h, then you will love this book.
Jax inhabits the typical alpha male saves the woman role. He seems to love Cassidy fairly quickly and works hard to make her life easier. Even though he does this in an underhanded way, given Cassidy’s inability to move beyond her past, his method is understandable.
Now, Cassidy is the difficult one for me. She is so naive about her mother. And it’s understandable to a point. Her mother and her mother’s friend, Tabitha, consistently take advantage of Cassidy, and she tacitly approves of it. It is Jax’s love for her that finally allows her to recognize her mother’s inability to give her an unconditional love. He is th only one who finally loves her enough to let go of her past.
Overall, this story grabbed me and kept me reading. Again, if you like quick repartee, you will appreciate the style of this book, and Jax will be your new book boyfriend.

A heroine with too much kindness, saved by friends much less delicate
Excellent romantic comedy with a little black humor sometimes. The story is very well written, the characters are good, (even the secondary characters), there are notes of humor, tension but the fact that the heroine passes a good part of the story to denigrate herself or to to be manipulated by her mother, sometimes annoyed me. However, she recovers and begins to assert herself.
All the other characters are excellent: they manipulate her for her good, because she tends to so kind for the others without yhinking about herself and to be in denial of what her mother did to her. With humor or force, they act to eliminate what she does not manage.
Cassidy causes an accident by running away from the limousine where her mother had just made her understand that she could become an escort (more a whore) with her mum's "boyfriend". The damaged car belongs to Jax a wealthy billionaire whose family also seems complicated, who lives and work with his brother Jaden. She discovers their world (not very pretty world either), but after being assaulted by "the friend" (escort too) of her mother and Jax's ex girlfriend, Cassidy decides to call her best friend, Allie. She lives 10 hours drive away and comes to save her. The meeting of Allie, Jaden, Jax is quite phenomenal and all this little world with more or less delicacy, manipulations or lies, will force Cassidy to open her eyes, to take what she deserves and what she deserves from her kindness.
Jax spends his time being a kind of guardian angel to protect her, but he has his way to make things happen, and he usually doesn't choose an angel's way.
I loved that the "nice" characters are full of flaws and they use them all the time to force Cassidy to move forward because she is too nice for her own good.

Oh, how I chuckled all the way through this humorous .masterpiece.(you may want to question why I used that word, but it was for me, as this author was so imaginative at the start, it had everything I so enjoy) Jax is so economical with words, leads to confusion and frustration from Cassidy. A man of few words, often just one, says all he wants to, gets his point across, and hits home. I was rooting for him the whole time. Cassidy could could be fiery at times and stands her ground, except with her mother....I use the word mother loosely as you will understand if /when you read this novel. I absolutely LOVED these two main characters and adored Cassidy's best friend Allie (who will be in the next book along with Jax's brother Jaden - One Bad Idea, due out in Feb 2019) Can't wait for that one, Allie's personality will be even more fiery than Cassidy's.
Well done to Sabrina Stark (author) for bringing a totally unusual start at the beginning and managed to keep the fireworks going throughout the storyline. (the mum had a great roll to play here, she had me in fits).
I would recommend this read if you want a giggle and a great storyline.

This was a beautifully written romantic tale. There was drama, angst, and misrepresentation elements within the story. The cast of characters were good, well developed and believable. The dialogue between the two main male and female characters was delightful: sharp, rapid repartee with wonderful bantering between the pair. The romance between the two main male and female characters was beautiful to watch unfold. The main male character was a very strong alpha male who was totally focussed on the main female character. This character was totally yummy! He was thrumming with sensuality. After many tumultuous occurrences, these two cemented their relationship and appeared to have attained their happy ever after. Good reading!

When i noticed that this book had 71 chapters and an epilogue I thought to my self * what can possibly be so good about this story? *
Well let me tell you..... this was an amazing and entertaining read that had me chuckling, shaking my head and wanting to shake a few people. Some of the characters are so obnoxious that you will hate them but without them there wouldnt be a story i guess.
I felt a bit sad for Cassidy that she would compare herself to her mother when Jax would want to give her a gift without her thinking it was a sort of bribe or payment to get her into bed.
Jax i found to be very enigmatic and broody but once finding out about his childhood you understand why he is the way he is.
I highly recommend this book to all, i understand that there are more books about the other Bishop brothers too but this book can be read as a standalone.

These Bishop men are honestly amongst my favourite book brothers ever.💕 They may not like each other or believe they are similar but wow do they sweep a woman off her feet!
This is Jax Bishop's story and as usual he is a man of mystery, as are all the brothers. He spots Cassidy from a distance and literally rides to her rescue.
The way they meet is completely bonkers, crazy but it totally works for them.
The story is told from Cassidy's POV but there is enough detail in the revealing conversations that you know who Jax Bishop is and what he stands for.
Cassidy for her part is an absolute sweetheart, who despite a neglectful mother has managed to maintain a sunny outlook on life. Along with her best friend, Allie, there is nothing she can't face.
I loved the funny moments with Jax and his brother Jaden. Obviously I'm already desperate for his story.
A joy to read.

Cassidy is almost hit by a car after she escapes a limo -- because her mother suggests a threesome with mom's new sugar daddy. If that's not ewww enough, we learn much more about this woman and it's disgusting.
Jax comes to Cassidy's rescue a million times and it gets kind of old. Jax is a brother to other men Stark has written about -- Jake, Lawton, etc. Jaden the jackass is next, I suppose. Admittedly, I found Jax annoying. He's vague and I would have slapped him after the second time he refused to answer my question. Cassidy is naive and has hard time coming to grips with the truth.
As with most stories of the wealthy, there are plenty of women who try to throw themselves at the rich men, people who don't like the girl, etc.
But I could not put this thing down, so there were definitely high points, despite some of the cliche stuff.

Jax & Cassidys story is a sweet, funny and an addictive one!
If you've read any of Sabrina's other books with the Bishop brothers you will be pleased to know that these two brothers fit in perfectly!
(And if you haven't..shame on you! They are awesome!!)
Jax is the laid back gorgeous blunt confusing man who simply falls in love. But being a Bishop is anything but simple!
Cassidy is a sweet girl who has a mother who doesn't deserve to be a mother! She deserves some goodness but finds it hard to accept because of the mum.
They meet with a bang...an actual bang from a car crash! And it all starts there..
They fit, simple as that...Jax and Cassidy fit and I loved their story, it's sweet, it's funny, it's addictive 😊 and I loved it.
I voluntarily received an arc from the author and this is my honest review

Great read!!
Another fantastic read, by Sabrina Stark. Highly recommend this author.
This is featuring Cassidy McAllister, and Jax Bishop, (another of the Bishop Brothers , those who have read previous books will know the others).
Great having a mention of your favorite brothers, although, you don't need to have read other books to enjoy this story. It's a stand alone book.
If you like a story about a down on her luck girl, being rescued by a hot Bishop brother, this book is for you!!

This one started off a little slow for me, but definitely picked up. As expected, I now have another another favorite Bishop brother. Loved the interaction between Jax and Cassidy, Cassidy and Allie, and Jax and Jaden. Only wished there was more back story as to all of the brothers and their relationships with each other, but it was hinted at or talked around. Full of secrets as always, but they were a little easier to predict than others in this series. Cannot wait for Jaden’s story. Always a win with Sabrina Stark. I received an ARC for an honest review.

OMG 😍😍😍 I absolutely loved this story! Sabrina has brought it with Jax's story. I will not spoil the book, but you should buy now!😊 The characters were great, funny, sexy, bad, and crazy especially Allie. The writing was done beautifully and captivate me in a way I haven't found in a minute. So much is happening and going on but at the end it was worth it. Great freaking work Sabrina Stark!❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🤗🤗🤗😉

Loved this book. The story grabbed me and didn't let go till the very end. I loved both H&h - Jax with his blend of protective, caring, sexiness and toughness and Cassidy with her naivete, sweetness, loyalty and strength. The plot was great with some nice twists of zany to lead to a very humourous story. Overall, a great story and I look forward to reading the next book with Jaden. *I received an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Like daytime TV
I couldn't finish. It wasn't for me. It was like watching a daytime TV show, complete with bad acting. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be funny but not, or serious but not. Everyone talked too much and nothing was happening for long periods of time - or at least it felt long. It was obvious where we was going to end up but I couldn't stay interested enough to persevere.
I have 3* because it was average, I've read some a lot worse.

I liked the concept of the story..rich guy falls for the woman with a troubled past and he wants to protect her. You can tell when Jax meets Allie he is going to help her anyway he can. I thought the story had too many secrets and twist. Allie though wanting to be independent was anything but. I never got the true romance feel of their story. I really wanted to like this one but all the secrets around every turn made that hard.

I received this book from Hidden Gems and l am volunteering to leave this review.
I really wanted to give this book a 5 star, but l found it difficult to get into this book at the start and nearly gave up, but l persevered l started to really enjoy it from about the 4th chapter.
I did enjoy the story as the book progressed and found l was really enjoying the relationship progressing between Cassidy and Jax. It had drama and twists and turns with a Happy Ever After.

The book was unrealistic, wishy washy, and just plain boring. There was no connection between Cassidy and Jax and so much repetitive self-esteem issues I just wanted to smack them both. They both were not communicative with each other yet they "loved" each other. I finished the book but it never got any better, unfortunately. Quick read but no substance. Received this book as an ARC for my honest review.

I really wanted to like this book but gave up reading a third of the way in. The storylines for the mum, the aunty and the best friend were a bit over the top and unrealistic. I felt Cassidy was too self centred, everything was “oh its my fault” “oh this happened because of me” “if it wasn’t because of me blah blah blah” . This drove me crazy to the point where I just had to put it down unfinished!

First book in the Bishop Brothers duet. I particularly liked that this book is more or less concurrent with the second book 'One Bad Idea' (Cassidy's friend Allie's story - which I actually read first!) and some of the action/incidents overlap. Cassidy is a hot mess, and from their very first encounter - the 'crash' of the title, to their HEA, Jax is her complete saviour! Both characters are totally likeable and Jax is particularly swoon-worthy. A great romantic read.

3 1/2*
Cassidy meets Jax unexpectedly when he comes to her rescue.
He’s understandably protective over her but why & is it true what her mother has in store for her?
A new author for me. The book introduces us to her friend & the dynamic’s of his family so more to come possibly his brother Jaden.

I loved this novel! I was sucked in from the very first page and did not want to put it down to the very last. I loved the characters! The chemistry was off the charts. But I absolutely adore the way this author writes. I loved the dialogue and the banter was laugh out loud funny. I can't wait to see what is next! Loved it!!

Ohmigod...this book is crazy good! I think it ran a little long—70 chapters plus an epilogue—but the storyline was really good; the characters beyond interesting; crazy interactions between characters; twists and turns galore; and an ending that will blow you away! Bring on Book 2!! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and enjoyed it.) ❤️

Cassidy trying to pull away from her mother from a limo when it cause a car to crash. When handsome stranger gets out of mangled car approaches Cassidy. She thought she will be in more trouble than before. However, this stranger has more concern for her safety and decides to rescue her.
When handsome strangers brother comes to pick them up, Jax, the stranger asked her to be his plus one for the party they are heading and he is willing to pay. But she feels she owe him for the accident so she decided to be his plus one without any reward.
When they arrive at the party she feels she is out of place since it is held at beautiful mansion near the beach. When she shows up to the party, she could feel everyones eyes on her and she feels she is out of place. But Jax made sure she was introduced as his girlfriend. When her mother, her sugar daddy and supposedly Aunt happens to show up at the party to ruin her, Jax and her brother to rescue again.
Once Jax had to leave the party and leave her alone, Cassidy wasn’t sure what todo. She didn’t want to be rude to Jax by leaving and didn’t know what to do so she calls her best friend. When party is coming to an end, she had no where to go so she decided to go to the beach and Jax finds her and brings her back to mansion where party was held.
He offers a room for a night, she never imagine her friend would be here as well.
Everything is turning out to be better than Cassidy ever hoped for but her mother is not making things easier for her.
Cassidy never had anyone helping her out until Jax. She is not used to being helped. Now she is not sure if Jax took pity on her or if he really feels for her.
It was quick read and it was fun. Cassidy was strong and she wasn’t impressed by his wealth and never took for granted. Jax wasn’t typical bad boy billionaire, he was kinda and warm hearted anybody would love. Chemistry between two were great and I can’t wait to read about her best friend and Jax’s brother.

Bishop Brothers!! Enough said.
We finally get another Bishop and who doesn't love these guys. I was hooked with Jake and continue to follow all the stories of love, romance, trouble, and fun. This book has a lot going on but stick it out, because all will be answered and it will come together in perfect understanding by the end. Jax and Jaden are a lot of fun! loved it

I am hesitant between 4 or 3 stars, but after sooo many dnf and general book slump i cant be that cruel.
This is a funny lighthearted beachbook, where all the events can be called “highly unlikely”.
But still. I just loved the hero! Most of the time he said: Yeah. If he elaborates he says: Hell yeah.
So i was in love with him, which kept me going.
Enjoyed it, fluffy, wellwritten, and Jax..

One Good Catch
Good book. Good story, good writing, good characters. Almost have it a 4 star, but Cassidy was so vanilla I forgot her name, had to go back to find it for the review. I did really like Jax.
