Pushed into marrying to secure their future, each daughter’s path to love and marriage is filled with obstacles, misunderstanding, and sometimes, danger! The fifth book is the prequel to the series and follows the future Duke of Westbrook and future wife, and shows how love is powerful motivator for change.

Other books by Rose Pearson: A Smithfield Market Regency Romance Series A Rogue's Flower Saved by the Scoundrel Mending the Duke A Baron's Malady
Rose has read her way through countless romances over the years, “borrowing” them from her older sisters, and hiding them from her mother.
She has a special love for Regency romances and when she began writing, the Regency period was a natural place to start. The ton, the wealthy families, the Season, the dilemmas, and yes, the marriages, have always fascinated her.
She loves a happy ever after! Now she is happy to bring this passion to her stories and share it with her readers.
On a personal note, Rose lives in North Carolina, is married, and has a terrier that barks too much. She enjoys taking him for walks to tire him out!
The Duke’s Daughter’s Series Spanning several years, this series is centered around the aging and often ill Duke of Westbrook as he sends his four daughters to London, and the adversities they must face to find love and marry. 1. A Rogue for a Lady 4 Stars I purchased a copy of the clean historical romance A Rogue for a Lady in the Duke’s Daughter’s Series by Rose Pearson and this review was given freely. With orders to marry before the year ends, Amelia Seaworth, first daughter to the Duke of Westbrook finds herself instantly attracted to the reformed Arthur Ridlington, Marquess of Northfell, but his secretiveness and persistent cousin have her frustrated and doubting his suitability. Contains the darker undertones of greed, blackmail gambling addiction, and the controversial topic of illegitimacy. 2. My Restless Earl 3 Stars I purchased a copy of the clean historical romance A Rogue for a Lady in the Duke’s Daughter’s Series by Rose Pearson and this review was given freely. This is a story of the malicious and vindictive Major Ridding, whose greed leads to the cruel and ruthless pursuit of Lady Jessica and the ending of a long military friendship with Captain George Eccles the new Lord Warwick. Despite a lot of strife and the repeated attempts by Major Ridding to compromise Lady Jessica, there is a heartwarming ending. 18+ for violent content. 3. Rescued by an Earl 4 Stars I purchased a copy of the clean historical romance Rescued by an Earl in the Duke’s Daughter’s Series by Rose Pearson, and this review was given freely. Full of drama, this dark second chance at love and a reformation of a rake story is complicated by the duplicity of a smuggler. Jacintha has her turn in London and although Lord Slate is persistent, she cannot forget a touching childhood moment with the now wastrel and spendthrift Viscount Henry Musgrove. 18+ for violent content. 4. In the Arms of an Earl 3 Stars I purchased a copy of the clean historical romance In the Arms of an Earl in the Duke’s Daughter’s Series by Rose Pearson, and this review was given freely. A lengthy instant attraction romance that is filled with violence. Obsessed, desperate, and indebted, Harmonia’s cousin Luke becomes violent in his multiple attempts to separate Harmonia from Phillip Marshal the new Earl of Newford and thus marry her himself. 5. The Reluctant Marquess: The Series Prequel 4 Stars I purchased a copy of the clean historical romance The Reluctant Marquess: The Series Prequel in the Duke’s Daughter’s Series by Rose Pearson and this review was given freely. Not what I was expecting given the rest of the series. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of violence and by the checkered past of Lord Seaworth, the future Duke of Westbrook, in this lengthy reformation of a rogue romance. My curiosity was finally satisfied as I learned the reason behind the daughter’s names. Under his brother’s supervision, the carefree and indulgent Lord Seaworth is pulled from his life of overindulgence to chaperone family friend, Miss Newton’s first Season in London.
At the time of my review, I had only read the last book in this series, The Reluctant Marquess, as an ARC in exchange for a review of that one book. This one is a story about the parents of the daughters in the first four books in the series, but it is completely a standalone story you do not need to have read the previous ones for. All of Rose Pearson’s books so far have been standalones, even in a series, so you never have to worry about getting to the end and finding some huge cliffhanger, and they all have happily ever after endings that leave you feeling so good inside. Her books are good for a rainy or gloomy day when you need something to cheer you up, and they’re the types you will want to read again and again. I tend to read the endings over and over a few times because they just catch you up so much and leave you thinking about them for days.
Regarding The Reluctant Marquess, I tore through this book much faster than I expected, but I was quickly drawn into the story and had to find out what would happen between our hero and heroine. Seaworth has grown accustomed to living a carefree life, enjoying all the pleasures possible, before entering into Dukedom once his father passes on. But after a brief illness, his father forces him to a task of taking a deceased friend’s daughter, Molly, back with him to London so that he may help her find her future husband during the Season, much to his chagrin as that will take away from the fun he had planned for himself. I had so much fun with this book. Seaworth’s eyes are opened wide to life thanks to Molly, and seeing the way their relationship developed was such a delight. The book left me with such a warm feeling, which, again, is the way all of Rose Pearson’s books tend to do.
This set is well worth the money, and I have grabbed it up so I can finish reading the series.
A Rogue for a Lady: *Possible spoilers* Can a leopard change his spots? I must say I don’t believe Amelia deserved the ending she got. She was quite foolish in her assumptions when time after time she had been proved wrong. That said, I did enjoy these characters and the storyline and look forward to seeing the rest of the girls find marriage.
My Restless Earl: Holy moly what an adventure! I think my heart had to work double time almost this entire book! There be scoundrels about and such a tangled mess of things you wonder if they’ll ever make it out. I thoroughly enjoyed this regency. It was most inspired.
Rescued by an Earl: Another heart racing adventure. A love triangle going on here. I don’t want to give away spoilers but, oh my, this may be the best book of the series yet! Wonderful characters and such unexpected twists in the storyline!
In the Arms of an Earl: Wow. Pearson outdid herself on this one! Who knew what this character would become when we met him throughout the series?! An incredible and tense novel. I most thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Reluctant Marquess: I might have expected this book at the beginning but it doesn’t really have much to do with the others. I enjoyed these characters. The juxtaposition of innocence against a rogues freedom. It was wonderful to see them both develop and work through their emotions and thoughts.
If you love historical romances, especially Regency romances, this is a wonderful book! Full of everything that makes me continue to read and love Regency: a reluctant playboy who falls hard for a lady; misunderstandings between characters; and all of the great details of the period. Of course there are plenty of the ton, balls galore, and beautiful fashions for us all to enjoy.
Hugh Seaworth is not in the market for a wife, just a good time during the London season. When his father becomes ill, he is tasked to give Miss Marjory Newton her season. The story develops from there and while it is not a surprise at how it ends, it is a greatly entertaining read.
Can a true playboy, selfish and only interested in the fun he can have on a nightly basis, really change his ways? When true love is involved, the answer is a resounding YES! There are plenty of humorous scenes, which is another reason I love this genre.
This book is well-written, fun to read and just what I have come to expect from a Regency romance. If you are looking for a clean, Regency romance with a HEA, look no further! I look forward to reading more by this author!
I read these books when they were published individually, but I had missed one book in the set that I was able to pick up when this set was released. It is such a good value to have all of the books and in their reading order available for your reading pleasure. I, personally, really enjoyed this particular series by Rose Pearson. There was such a special bond between these sisters and their love for that special family bond. There was a bonus in this set as the girl's received the special story of their parent's romance.
I did receive an ARC copy of this set, but this is my voluntary and honest review.. Submitted by: Vicki Johnson
This collection contains the stories of a duke and his four daughters all seeking love and marriage. The stories are typical of the genre. In the first four books, girl meets boy, girl falls for boy but is uncertain how to proceed, another boy wants girl and misunderstanding ensue. In the last book, boy meets girl, boy has to leave behind his usual behavior to introduce her to society, each falls in love with the other, there is a lot of hand wringing and confusion, boy and girl acknowledge their love. Quick, easy reads.
This is a box set well worth reading. I have read them all individually, and it is great to see this collection come together. If you haven’t read this series before, this is the way to go, as you don’t have to wait for the next story. Each book has facets of intrigue, danger, betrayal, hope and romance interspersed with witty conversations and great descriptions of the Regency era. Rose has a wonderful way with words and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.
This 5 box set is one to put on your TBR. Rose Pearson makes each one of these novels stand-alones, but it's great to see all of them together. They each have their own story that does intertwine. All of the characters are wonderfully written and I love the storylines. 4 of these are centered around The Duke of Westbrook's four daughters and how they find their HEA. I would highly recommend this box set. I received as an ARC for an honest review and was thankful I was.
Excellent stories! The Duke has four daughters. This boxset includes a book about each of them. As they grew up, as they attended balls in the fashionable London, and how they fell in love and married the love of their lives. Each story stands alone and yet each story builds on the previous one. Each of the girls went through trials and false starts with their looking for husbands. Read the box set and enjoy many, many pages of great entertainment and page turning excitement. Great stories, exciting reads.
"This was a delightful read so full of twists it will take hold of you right from the start. The book has such a great flow you will not even know time is passing. The characters are captivating they are so real. There is intense drama and suspense with beautifully written scenes it was an exciting read. I highly recommend."
For a series, this is several hours of entertainment. Don't give u when toward the beginning there are cases where the same descriptive word is used multiple times in the same paragraph --it doesn't continue to happen. The plots are unique and the characters strong and admirable. Enjoy.
The Duke's Daughters Series Boxset by Rose Pearson. This box set had everything romance, mystery and happy endings, and strong heroines. Delighted by the humor, intrigue and overall interest. Has something for everyone. My free opinion. Thanks.
I received the boxset and voluntarily chose to review it. Loved that each daughter had a different challenge on her way to her husband. It still amazes me how authors can make their books (and boxset) be so different. Loved this set.
Absolutely loved these books. Exciting, intriguing, romantic, with lots of adventure and heartache. The characters were lovable and approachable. Would definitely recommend this book.
Romance does not have a smooth road for four sisters.
I enjoyed each of the stories of the four daughters of the Duke of Westbrook. Each daughter has he own problems sometimes caused by her dowry. Some of the suitors turned into villains. Good reading..
I chose to read and review this book. I am a fan of the author and enjoy her work a lot. I liked reading this bundle. Everything is well written, the plot, the flow of events and the characters. I liked each couple, their interactions and the ending was nice. I recommend this one
I enjoyed the look into the customs and romance of the times and places of these stories. The characters were developed well and were interesting. It was a pleasant pause and escape from my busy world.
I enjoyed reading about the Duke of Seaworth and his daughters, Amelia, Jessica, Jacyntha, and Honoraria. It was wonderful reading about each of their journeys to find love.
You'll love getting to know these young women and the men who love them.
I loved reading each of The Duke's Daughter's books, they're terrific and a wonderful afternoon read. I had actually purchased Jessica's story - book 2 separately and loved it so much I decided to purchase the box set and get to know each of the sisters and the dilemmas they face in finding a loving husband. Great heartwarming reads.
While I always appreciate a good, clean romance, these stories were predictable. Many editing errors were a distraction. I did read the box set series all in a row, so that may have contributed to the lackluster feel of the novels for me.
A great set of feel good stories which you call in love with. Follow them to see if they Can find the one for them I received an advanced copy and I enjoyed it so much that I want to review
A beautiful bookset with sweet stories, strong characters and adventures. These stories are well developed and kept you reading until the end. I recommend this book set to all that love regency.
A clean read. Each book has some suspense but each ends happily. I like the Duke and each man his daughter chooses. Typical concerns for the ton's opinions.
I throughly enjoyed all the stories they were very filled with a mystery of who would be chosen. And how obsticals could be faced. I will recommend these books.
