What if we don’t know your own dark secret?

A year after the horrifying death of his fiancé Kashika, Kanav Raghuwanshi finds himself in therapy struggling to move on. Anahita, his therapist cum confidante, tries her best to help him, but when Kanav starts to see unmistakable signs of Kashika’s reappearance all over the city, coupled with an unoccupied neighbouring flat that is the source of all things mysterious, Kanav enters a battle between his imagination and reality.

Meanwhile, Meenakshi, Kanav’s new love interest, is all set to steal his heart, until Kanav discovers she’s not who she says she is. In fact, it seems no one is who they say they are. Perhaps not even Kanav himself.

A "typical novoneel Chakraborty story".
Here is how the story progresses:
Let there be a, b, c, d,............ characters. 'a' loves 'b', 'b' marries some 'c', 'a' finds some 'd', 'd' cheats on some 'e' ,..... likewise the sequence of series goes on....... Finally manipulating the facts to give the ending what the author had predecided......
After reading the ending of the novel, I find it unsurprisingly similar to the novel 'black suits you'. Also the ending is quite inappropriate, because the punishment is justified to those who are guilt of crime but not to those, who are suffering from amnesia. Apart from the fact the person is not aware of any guilt he is charged with, the readers are left with ambiguity but with no strong proof so as to assist us to believe that the suspect might have committed any crime in actual place......
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Red suits you is a small, gripping and thrilling read which was released around Diwali time in 2018.

While this is not the first book by author Novoneel Chakraborty, it is the first one by him which any of our team members got a chance to read. And, I, as a reader like the way the book is written. Of course, there are some of the scenes in the second half which could have bee better, but, as an entire package, the book remains true to its promise.

Let us take a bird's eye view of the book plot:
The story belongs to Kanav Raghuvanshi. Kanav is living his life in quite a desperate state. Actually, he lost his fiancee some time ago and he cannot get over it. He is seeking professional services of Anahita Sengupta (psychiatrist) and it seems that his life is getting closer to the right track.

One day, Anahita suggests him to go for a get together by a dating community where he may possibly find someone. If the things go properly then he may find love again and it may provide him relief from the grief and sadness he is succumbed into!

Kanav started feeling the presence of his fiancee around him. Especially in the adjacent flat in his apartment. A chain of incidents happens in such a way that we cannot find him wrong also!

But how can a dead person come back?

Is this book a ghost story? Does it explore paranormal stuff? Well, it is a small read which is available less than Rs. 16 and available as a Kindle EBook only; so you can surely try it :).

Views and Reviews:
Writing a short story is a walk on a tightrope. Here you cannot take time to build the things. The book should be interesting from the beginning and should run at a comparatively fast pace.

The way the characters are explored is interesting. Over the course of events, we see layers of their character are being explored in a gripping manner. The first half of the book shows a modern environment and genuine feelings while the second part has more thrills, twists, and turns.

The author has a good vocabulary and he weaves his words nicely into sentences. The characters are strong and gender doesn’t play any role in the same. Despite the book falling into crime-fiction genre, there is no adult content, which is good.

Actually, there are more attributes we can talk about by giving some specific examples, but I want to avoid spoilers as much as possible, so let us stop here.

Summary:
The book is a nice, short, engaging thriller.

Rating:
Around 7.5 out of 10.

My Review - Red Suits You is a psychological thriller, it's a big Dhamaka in small package. So down to the point what did I like & what I didn't like, let's get strated-

I liked - I am a big fan of thriller novels, thriller stories and this story hits the mark, the story is fast paced, with lots of mind boggling plot twists, despite of short in size the story doesn't loses its thrill. The story is good for beginners as short in size they can read the book and savor it's flavor easily, now an important side is the price of the book , Penguin has priced it just Rs- 15/-, just imagine a NOVONEEL CHAKRABORTY BOOK you will get under Rs-20/- isn't it wonderful. The book is available in both Google book and Amazon.

I Disliked - The characters building was not impressive, due to size issue everything, everyone, every event are happening in a haste, this haste hampers with the readers as they will have tough time to understand the characters , the events and the plot twists which are happening, it is like you are getting to know a character and understanding it's motive and at that time climax hits & curtains starts to fall shows over, this will make the readers mind wanting a little bit more from the story.

Overall review - it is a time conserving, money efficient, beginners friendly book , highly recommend all to go for it.

Rating - 3.5 / 5⭐

Ending Note - Firstly I want to tell you all that I am a very big fan of NOVONEEL CHAKRABORTY and this psychological thriller is an awesome gift to all the NOVO FANS like me who are out their.

So stop reading the reviews and start reading the story.

Red Suits You by Novoneel Chakraborty revolves around the life of Kanav Raghuwanshi who has gone into depression after losing his fiancé Kashika to an accident and he has been trying to move on with the help of his therapist Anahita Sengupta who suggest him to start dating to get over her fiancé, but his life takes a twist when a new neighbor shifts into his apartment.
The cover page is quite appealing and after finishing the story one can understand why it is named as “Red Suits You”.
This is story has quite a similar climax to Black suits you written by the same author and anyone who has read the later book can guess the end as well. The language is quite simple and the characters are good but the book wasn’t full of many suspense elements as one usually finds in Novoneel Chakraborty books. Red suits you is a small read associated with love, passion, betrayal, and revelations.

This is a short psychological thriller of 44 pages. The language used is easy and the book can easily be completed in one sitting.

The story is about Kanav who lost his fiance, Kashika in an accident and now, he is mentally depressed with her memories. He started seeking to therapist, Anahita. His life started moving on track when suddenly he came to know that Kashika is still alive. He started getting some clues by which he came to know that his fiance is still alive. Or is he imagining everything?

This story is full of mind blowing twists which will keep you hooked till the end. Though I still didn't liked the second half of the book that much but the message passed at the end is impressive. Read out this book if you are looking for a short read in thrillers with outstanding twists and turns.

Are you a fantasy and thriller fan? Looking for Novoneel’s next amazing pick? Red Suits You is just for you then.
You must be wondering why RED and not any other color. Red could be the color of a dress or drink or maybe the sky.
While red is a color of passion and danger, one cannot tell for what Novoneel uses it here. To discover the reason behind ‘Red’, read this enthralling story.
Do you know the most interesting thing? One would finish the book in a sitting for it consists of sixty pages only.

Good narrative, thrilling experience.

This is the first Novoneel book I have read and I found the storytelling style very gripping and entertaining. Novoneel Chakraborty has nailed short form thriller which keeps you guessing and still manages to surprise you with the twist and turns.
The storyline continuity could have been better, but the plot overall worked well.
The end of the story unfolds with a total surprise, it has the attributes of a good thriller.
Impressive narrative, and short and quick read. It is worth your time and money.

It was a quick read, a novella. I like Novoneel's books, the psychological element in his stories. Initially, this story was intriguing and gripping but then it felt rushed, like the author wanted to finish it quickly. Plus, there is no proof of the crime mentioned in story. Just because two people are saying...there has to be some clue for the readers as well.

Just the way I like it

First of all it's Novoneel Chakraborty . Come on! You should read it just on the basis of that. While for the story. It's just awesome. Given that it is a short story it's not that enjoyable as his full novels are. But it is good enough to make your head spin. And in a good way ❤️

A short psychological thriller.
A man who has recently lost is wife in an accident is under the treatment of a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist is asking him to get out of it by going out on a date. She finally pushes him to go to venue where a fast dating has been arrived for. He finds a match and they go out a couple of times.

The man starts seeing signs of his dead wife appearing. He seeks help from psychiatrist. He is greeted by people whom he has no recollection of seeing and they refer to him by a different name too. He is totally confused.

Read the book to see what happens next.

Probably a tame ending, but a decent read.

Review:  The Book is the quickest thriller for you to read. The story is all about Kanav Raghuwanshi coping with the loss of his fiance. But few things happen around him, but are they real or the work of his imagination is what the story revolves around.

The positives of the book is its ending. Though you can predict what it will end with but why is a huge game-changer.

I couldn’t find any negatives. Though disappointed that it is a short read.

Overall I liked what I read.
