Gene Born: Gladiator Hell
The government used us to improve the human genome through gene modification and controlled us through a computer AI placed in our brains. Earth was dying, and they needed humans to be stronger, faster, and harder to kill while traveling through space in their search for a new home. They were successful. They made us stronger, faster, and harder to kill. Then, they took it even further when an alien species called the Koci was shot down right before the last exodus ships were to leave earth. They used the alien DNA to changes us even further. We are now part Koci and part human, a hybrid.
We sought our freedom from being controlled by the government only to find ourselves in the hands of pirates when we awoke from cryo-stasis.
Then, the pirates sold us to the Mxint Combine to fight in their gladiator games against other aliens and monsters. What does a girl have to do to kick some ass! We are in Gladiator Hell, but not for long if I have anything to say about it. We are still not free, but we will be. Our goal is freedom, our objective to find a new home, our ambition is to explore this new galaxy we find ourselves in, and our intention is to give these slavers HELL! Will it be easy? Probably not. Will we give up? Never!

Love it!
First, let me say how AWFUL this book is, but I can't resist it, and I finally know why! If books had a rating similar to B movies, THIS would be. It's corny, things happen that make no sense, I get confused when things are described because it wasn't consistent, and I loved every bit of it. Why? Because I am a sucker for B movies.
Be aware, they laugh at their own jokes that are not funny, and conversations are WAY too formal. It throws me out of the story.

What a fast-paced action novel in space, with some romance, that whets the appetite for more!
Sloan keeps on keeping on and showing everyone why she is the leader. Her mates and friends all have to keep up with her while taking care of themselves - woooo, what a rush!
You have to read the first two books in this series to really understand this book but it is very much worth the time to read them!

Keeps going
Again, the plot is great and there is slightly less rambling but the main MF is getting more and more irritating. So much eye rolling!
And she just doesn't get that letting herself act like a teenager to rile people up gets her and others beat or killed. I mean since book 1 she says she needs to stop and then just keeps going and then gets angry that others tell her to stop. She constantly fprgets to tell people things and just goes whoops my bad..She gets a new mate then is angry that he wants to touch her. Umm you jumped the dude and now get annoyed that he wants to be with you?

Gladiator Hell
This book has been a wild ride! I found my heart pounding with every confrontation. I won’t spoil it but the count down had me on the edge of my seat. This book was action packed and tear jerking. I’m waiting for the next book!

This series is great. Everyone one of the books are awesome but they seem to get better and better with each one that comes out. I absolutely loved this book it makes me sad to think I have to wait for the next one.

There's so much "planning" going on, even during the action, that hardly anything ever seems to happen in this series but I do like it!

Hybrids vs Gladiators
I’d probably give this 4.5 ⭐️ if I could.
This book builds on the ones that have come before in a great way. It takes all the interesting characters we met in the previous books and throws them in the deep end as they end up at the Gladiators Guild.
During this book Sloan comes into her own as a leader of her people. Her intelligence and drive have lifted her into a position she was unprepared for, but does not shy away from. She is determined to keep her people alive to the best of her ability.
Her bond with Ajax and Jaxon becomes deeper and they meet new aliens to become friends with.
There is a lot more sex in this book, and it gets pretty hot.
I’m enjoying this series more with each book as I get to know the characters and the universe in which they live. It’s fast paced and filled with passion. A really good read.
