About the author

Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani is a renowned Telugu novelist. She was very popular among the ladies and the younger generation for her novels about love and drama, with a great fan following during the 1970s and early ’80s. She used to have a strong inclination towards literature from her childhood. She has written over 80 novels. Several of her stories were made into films and television serials. She won two Nandi Awards. Yaddanapudi died of a heart attack on 18 May 2018 in California, U.S., while visiting her daughter.

I started reading this book after reading through a news article when the author passed away. It is also recommended by Trivikram, one of the renowned directors of TFI. This read is one of those joyous, happy, intriguing ones. Loved both the lead characters of the story. A riveting story about how two people, who are poles apart fall in love. Try it!! You won't regret later for sure !!

పుట్టిన ప్రతి మనిషికీ ఎక్కడో ఒక చోట ఇది తన ఇల్లు, తన వాళ్ళు, తన చోటు అనే మమకారంతో కూడిన సంకెళ్లు కావాలి. అవి లేని నాడు మనిషి సన్యాసి అవుతాడు.

This is my first novel of Sulochana raani gaaru. Sulochanamma knows audience pulse and the novel balances well with emotions about human relationships. If someone want to start reading Telugu novels this is definitely one.

Great book. Characters are very well potrayed. High respect for the "Teja" character. It has gone through many ups and downs. Just felt that ending could have been better.

Am still thinking "how could teja's uncle convince gouri devi's parents". It's best left unmentioned as no words could have made it believable.

Came to know about this book through trivikram sir and am very very thankfull for him. This is the third book am reading from his recommendations after "Amaravathi Kathalu" and "Chivaraku Migiledhi" and felt the same with those two books too.
