You know in the Harry Potter books, where Harry saves the day all the time, but only because he's got Ron and Hermione and the others helping him? That's Cassie.
This is a fast paced tale which hits the drama right from the outset.
But what I'm really enjoying from this series are the interpersonal relationships. The hints of romance. The tension with the parents. All the things that ground this story into the realms of the realistic, despite the paranormal events.
Truly enjoyable.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This is a fast paced tale which hits the drama right from the outset.

Still Fresh YA novels
While I still don’t understand how this pair of authors can produce these short novels at a ridiculous pace, I do have to admit that they have managed to keep me interested and entertained in the stories. This one Heir of The Dog is a go example of character and plot building. While the protagonist’s beau has become scarce in the last few novels, he does make a better appearance here, making me wonder how long he’s going to be around. Good writing good characters.

Another series that continues to get better with each book. From being forced into the supernatural world the hard way with nobody to turn to, she has evolved into a saviour who also has the much needed support of her parents & new friends. It's good to see how much Cassie's attitude & strength of character has changed because of this. I'm sure she will continue to have tough times ahead but I'm looking forward to how it develops.

Realy enjoyed reading the six books back to back.
Can not recommend the works of Robert J Crane enough. The amount of work he has written and the quality has not suffered. So having battled vampire stalkers, vampire god fathers , traveled to the land of Fae, Cassie comes up close n personal with werewolves.
The story stacks up with the same tone as the previous, the qualities of the other books shine thru in this one. I ha e no doubt this instalment will not disappoint.

I have to admit that I was hesitant about starting this series. But, now I'm waiting impatiently for the next book bc I'm so enthralled with it. I catch myself rooting for Cassie and Mill. The heir of the dog book kept me up waiting to see what happened with her mother and father.

Wow, wonderful reading!
This series is very intense, absorbing and you HAVE to finish one and start the next immediately to keep up the flow!

So this book was interesting with the mention of twilight amongst other books. Love the story of Cassie and Mill. Loving Lockwood's character. Will it be Jed or Mill?
